When I heard that Lea Coll had a new series releasing, I was excited. If Summer Love is anything to go by then she has a winning series on her hands.

Set on Sanibel Island, first off is Hudson Kingston and the woman who steals his heart, Elena, the journalist hired to do a piece on the family venture and what a wonderful pairing.

I love small town romances and Sanibel Island sounds like a great place to visit. This is a genre that Ms. Coll does well. The characters were easy to relate to and I found myself fully invested in their story.

Elena needs to be off limits, however the heart wants who the heart wants and lines are crossed.

I enjoyed the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed. What follows is a well written, entertaining story and I cannot wait to read more in the series.

Sanibel Island is an awesome location for the new Kingston Brothers series. There are six brothers and a sister, so there will be six new stories set in this location. (We have previously met the youngest child, Luna, in the Wilde Brothers series.) Summer Love is the story of the oldest brother, Hudson, and Elena who is the journalist hired to do a story on the family.

Hudson is the serious brother who is going to run the family construction business when his father retires. He is focused, determined, quiet and no fun. He has taken on the responsibility of the family business and all of the younger brothers, along with the volunteer work that he does. Elena is an ambitious and sweet young woman who has just moved back to Sanibel Island to care for her Grandmother. She has known Hudson and his family since she was a kid and crushed on him when she was younger. When given the assignment to write a story about the Kingston family, the two meet again. There is strong chemistry and heat as they get to know one another and grow closer.

We meet all of the brothers except the one in the military and begin to learn about their personalities. We see that while they have a good family, there are some underlying sibling issues that affect their relationships with one another. Their familial roles are set thanks to their father. He is still the all knowing and unforgiving jerk that we met in Luna’s story and he is at risk of losing other children besides just Luna. Seeing how all the brothers’ futures play out with respect to his deciding how they should be and them finding their own path should be interesting.

Ultimately this is a story of self discovery and self acceptance with lots of great side characters to help. The brothers seem like good men even if a bit lost and Grams is awesome! I love her and her granny friends! Hopefully we can see more of this older crew in future stories. I can’t wait to read about more Kingston brothers and revisit Sanibel in future stories.

I love the Sanibel Island setting. Hudson is the oldest brother who takes his responsibilities seriously and does his best to keep his demanding and controlling father happy enough not to take out his displeasure on him or his siblings. Doing an interview and being labelled as the most eligible bachelor is not something he wants, but his father demands he toe the line. His father says the publicity is invaluable to their business, so Hudson and his siblings have no choice in the matter as far as he is concerned.

Elena is newly returned to Sanibel Island and is looking after her grandmother. She is a journalist who has been hired to write a piece about the Kingston family and their business. She had a crush on Hudson when she was younger and does her best to hide her attraction to him as she shadows him to glean information for her article. She is aware that he is not happy to be interviewed, but she intends to make the experience as pleasant as possible for both of them. Neither expect to feel a real connection between them, to eagerly anticipate spending time with each other, or to enjoy all their time spent together. I enjoyed their banter, the flirting and their rapport.

Their intense chemistry is palpable and they soon develop deep feelings for each other, which could jeopardize her job and her ability to stay on the island, as well as bring his father’s wrath on them too. Her Grams is quite the character and certainly likes Hudson for her granddaughter. The Kingston siblings are close, though a couple have left to find their own way after conflicts with their father. They each have their own interests, dreams and quirks, and can be quite competitive, but they also try to support each other too. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this new series.

This book has my wholehearted recommendation.

Trying to find a sustainable income on the small island, she takes a job with a local magazine to write an article on the 'most eligible bachelor' Kingston brothers. Focusing on Hudson, the oldest brother, she spends time shadowing him at work, with his family and at his volunteer work. While they went to high school together, Hudson never really paid much attention to her back then.

As adults, she realizes that Hudson has always been focused and serious, even back when they were teens - wanting to excel at school, sports and the family business. He feels the need to make sure his family is taken care of and has just assumed that he will take over the family business at some point. While at first a reluctant interview subject, he lets Elena into his life. Everything she sees in the now adult Hudson revives her high school attraction to the handsome contractor. Hudson mirrors that attraction, leading to something more than a journalist/subject relationship. Their relationship allows Hudson the freedom to relax a bit and build something just for himself. He's a multitalented man, running the family business, working hands-on with his teams on home renovations and acting as a mentor to local youth. With Elena in his life, he has everything he could want.

Elena, while driven to succeed has a strong sense of family as well. She's intelligent, loving and a generally likable character. Hudson, while seemingly serious, uncovers layers that prove him to be a passionate and caring book boyfriend. Together, their relationship evolves from respect to friendship to something more. While they will have obstacles to overcome, the story creates a lovely, warm summer romance.

Summer Love is the first book in the Kingston Brothers series. This book does a good job of introducing the brothers (except for the eldest who is in the military) without taking away from the main characters, Hudson and Elena.

Hudson is the second oldest of the Kingston brothers and slated to take over the family construction business when his father retires. He, along with his siblings, have remained single and thanks to their father, they are all now the subject of the local newspapers eligible bachelor's article. His father thinks it is good for the business, the brothers are not so sure.

Elena is back to live in her small town after living in the city since graduation. Her parents have moved off the island, but her grandmother remains. Elena loves her grandmother and wants nothing more than to be there for her so she can remain in the home she loves. She takes a job at the local newspaper and is assigned to create an article about the Kingston brothers. Of course, the article focuses on Hudson who she may or may not have had a crush on in school.

When these two meet I felt for Elena because Hudson did not remember her at all. He was so focused on school and sports that everything else remained in the background. Now that he actually sees her, he can't imagine how he can't remember her. The more time these two spend together the closer they become. I like how they started out getting to know each other and then it progresses somewhat naturally into more.

This storyline is good, but at times was a little slow and repetitive. There is relationship building, romance, good secondary characters and an overall good feel to the story. It concludes nicely but leaves room for updates in the other books (potentially). Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can already tell that these brothers are going to have some serious things come their way. Will they do the sibling squabble then stand strong to support each other, or will they let things fall apart? I have a feeling we’re going to wonder a whole lot with one or two of them, but that we’re going to like the outcome.

Hudson and Elena are first up, and their initial meeting…let’s just say it’s not the best. Hudson doesn’t remember Elena. They grew up together, but he has no memory of her. And that stings. But then we see more of who Hudson is, how he’s wired, and that he DOES remember some things. Then it all starts to make sense. Why? Because these brothers have set roles, laid out by their unbending father. And I do mean that. Their father proved with Luna that he’s incredibly slow to accept change, and often does so when it’s too late to correct course. But he’s also a worried father. The question is whether or not that worry will push relationships to the edge.

Anyway, Elena and Hudson have a good thing together. And it’s NOT a temporary thing, no matter what they might try to tell themselves. And when it all seems to fall apart, the one who Elena can see far more of than he wishes for anyone to is the one to make it make sense. I have a feeling we’re going to watch these guys find their true selves and figure out how to make it all work, and I’m 100% here for it every step of the way.

Her grandmother is getting older, living alone, so Elena decided to live with her so she can remain in her home on the beach. Elena recently was hired as a freelance journalist to write a story for a local magazine on the local Kingston Construction family. If they like what she writes, they may offer her a job.

Hudson is less than enthusiastic to have a reporter shadowing him, but Elena surprises him; asking intelligent questions and not afraid to work alongside him. These two actually went to school together, but Hudson does not remember her. From the moment they met, there is a connection but she should be off limits as her job depends on this; except we aren’t always able to control what our heart wants. With off the charts chemistry and sparks flying, resistance becomes more and more difficult as they spend time together. Between an unhappy editor, a meddling grandmother and her equally nosy friends, Hudson and Elena will need to overcome some obstacles before they can find their true love.

Ms. Coll wrote a story of self discovery and self acceptance with some wonderful side characters. Grams is awesome, as are her friends. The brothers appear to be good men, even if a bit lost. I look forward to learning more about the Kingston brothers and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

I am a huge fan of Ms. Coll's small town series and this is no exception. This is the Kingston brothers series, set in Sanibel Island. We have previously met the only sister, Luna Kingston, in the Wilde Brother's series set in Maryland. The series starts with Hudson Kingston, the oldest, being followed around by a journalist for a story on the most eligible bachelors on Sanibel. The Kingston brothers are HOT! Elena Perkins, who grew up on the island, but moved away for college, has come home to be with her grandmother more as she gets older. She remembers Hudson from her time at school where she had a massive crush on him, but he has no memory of her. Hudson thinks Elena is just writing a puff piece and Elena thinks Hudson is rude and standoffish. So when Elena is supposed to shadow Hudson, this does not look promising, but as they spend more time with each other, the edges soften and the real Hudson and Elena come to the fore. Can they keep their relationship professional? After all, Hudson is supposed to be the island's most eligible bachelor and Elena needs to write a story that will get her a job so that she can stay on the island for her grandmother.

This is a quick, fun read. It is well written with fun secondary characters like Shep and Grams, that make you smile. Great start to a new series.

I’ve really enjoyed reading Summer Love. It’s the first in a new series about the Kingston Brothers but like all of Lea’s stories it can easily be read as a standalone. I adore Lea’s small town romances and this is no exception.

First up we have Hudson and Elena’s story. Hudson is a contractor with a gruff exterior. He’s the more serious of the brothers and is in line top take over the family business when their father decides to eventually retire. Elena is a sweet freelance reporter from Boston who’s come home to Sanibel Island to look after her Grams and write a story on the most eligible bachelors on the island aka the Kingston brothers.

I really liked the chemistry and the push and pull between them. Even though Hudson isn’t particularly thrilled when Elena starts to shadow him, he’s very quickly surprised when she pitches in.

The story itself is beautifully written and heartwarming which is something in know I’ll always get from Lea’s writing. You can’t help but cheer Hudson and Elena on for their HEA. I really liked all the characters, but I loved Grams. I couldn’t stop laughing at her meddling in pushing them both together.

Overall a fantastic start to a new series which I’m sure it’s going to be great. I can’t wait to see whose story we get next. Perfect for your summer reading tbr.

This is a new series about the Kingston Brothers. The first one is about Hudson, the oldest. He's the responsible older brother who is expected to take over the family construction business. Elena comes back to the island to live with and take care of her Grams. She has a job as a writer for a piece about the Kingston Brothers. Hudson's father wants Elena to shadow him to get a sense of the business. Hudson doesn't like the idea but will do it to help the business. Hudson doesn't remember Elena from school but she remembers that she had a crush on him. She shows up to the job site dressed properly and wants hands on experience for the article. Hudson becomes impressed with her instead of annoyed like he thought he would be. Elena finds out that the other brothers are as giving to the community as Hudson is. Her article begins to show that side of the brothers instead of the way her editor wants to show them as playboys. Will she be able to do the article the way she wants or will she be alienated from the Kingston family? I really enjoyed Grams and how she tried to push Hudson and Elena together. I'm looking forward to the rest of the brothers' books. I received an early copy to read and review. I'm leaving my honest review.

The start of a new series set on Sanibel Island with its small population. Journalist Elena Perkins has returned to the island where she grew up to take care of her 'grams' who becomes almost the star of this show. Charged by the Island magazine with writing a story on the six eligible bachelors and sons of Kingston Construction she is met with stiff resistance by the handsome oldest son and brother, Hudson, though he obeys his father's wishes to show Elena around his work sites. She surprises him by pitching in on the actual work and along with her curvaceous body and easy going way they strike up a close working relationship even though he doesn't recall her from their school days. The slow burn is perhaps too slow and Hudson too reluctant to make a move but he does eventually. Not much angst here but pleasant and good people along with an ocean breeze and sandy beaches. Received this arc and have voluntarily reviewed.

A great beginning to a brand new series. Six brothers and every one is different than the other. The close relationship they all share is what makes this series so special. Working together for their family construction company.
Hudson is one of the oldest and the one to take over the business. The homebody type. Work, community service mentor, and dinner with his parents is how he spends most of his time. No time for relationships until Elena. He was not happy when he found out about the article and her shadowing him. Mainly because he was a private person. But the more time he spent with her the more he looked forward to it and the closer they became. Watching them fall in love is what had me glued to every word.
Loving this series and looking forward to the rest of the Kingston men. Each one unique in their own way. Curious to see the women who will bring them to their knees.

As we meet the family and set up the series, Hudson, the oldest, is the first brother. His story begins as he will be featured in an article about the eligible bachelors on the island. His father sees this as an excellent opportunity for marketing the family business. Hudson sees it as a bother. Elena is the journalist writing the article.

I love Grams, she sets the tone, and we meet some great side characters along the way. The story is of loving yourself and self discovery. I am going to like this family, and I am excited for what we are going to get in the future.

He feels responsible for the family construction business and has dedicated his life to it. Elena has moved back to the island to take care of her grandmother and to figure out her next steps. She is hired to do an interview about the brothers. Hudson is vehemently against it and wants nothing to do with it. His father says that the family will do the interview and Hudson realizes that he has no choice. Slowly, Elena gets to him and they become friends. I really enjoyed how their relationship progressed. Throw in the meddling grandmother and her equally nosy friends and it made this a really enjoyable read!

You will love Elena’s Grams and her friends - they are funny! This book is a loose extension of the author’s previous series but you will have not had to read that series to enjoy this one.

Hudson didn’t want to do this article but was taken by surprise by Elena, she wasn’t just a pretty face & worked beside him while getting to know him. We also meet the rest of the family (we met sister Luna already) & I’m looking forward to the other brother’s books! As usual, it’s honestly written with all their character flaws & how they work through their issues. It’s funny, entertaining, honest and you will experience all the feels on the journey to their HEA. I highly recommend this book & am looking forward to the next one!!

Another enjoyable small town romance from Lea Coll! I loved Hudson and Elena. Hudson was the oldest brother and the responsible one. He was dedicated and driven, working with his father's business. Elena was writing an article that she hoped would help their business and show readers how different the brothers were. Hudson and Elena didn't immediately hit it off, but the more time they spent together the more of a connection they had, and the more the attraction grew. Would Hudson and Elena's relationship continue to get stronger, or would the pressure from the article threaten their newfound happiness? I enjoyed meeting all the Kingston brothers and can't wait to read more about them.

We had a glimpse of his character in his sister Luna’s story and I had a feeling that it will take a strong woman to make him fall. Enter journalists Elena who was chosen to get to knew Hudson for the magazine piece that will show the world who Hudson is. Career driven Elena hopes this was support her career but what she didn’t expect was the chemistry between them that blossoms to an unexpected friendship to more. I enjoyed this introduction to the Kingston brothers and I can’t wait for more.

I love how this author introduces a new series!! We are meeting The Kingston Brothers, of course we met their sister in a previous book. But we are more than excited to get to know each brother better…most of all we get to watch them fall in love! And boy oh boy does Lea know how to write an amazing series about big families who truly love and support each other…but they need more. They need their happily ever after….Lea more than delivers on this quest. First up is Hudson, he is the oldest brother and the responsible one. He helps his dad run the family construction business…and he is good at what he does. Elena loves the island and came back after college to be a support to her grandmother. Her extremely feisty grandmother who is a total scene stealer. When Elena needs to write an article about the towns eligible bachelors…of course the Kingston brothers fit the bill. As Elena starts shadowing Hudson and they start spending a lot of time together…so much time that he is helping her grandmother. This is a quick read about family, telling your truth and everything in between. I loved the many layers of this book. This is a fast paced book with a lot of story to tell. I’m already getting excited about getting to know these brothers better because…they all have huge personalities. Hudson was sweet, caring and was really into Elena…and I was Here for it. These two had fun banter and perfect chemistry. I am Already looking forward to reading book 2. Bring on the next brother.

What a fun start to this new series. Hudson isn’t thrilled when Elena is thrust into his world. But things are not always what you expect and that is certainly the case here. There’s some drama and angst, with a dose of betrayal thrown in to cause problems, but plenty of sweet and sexy moments - and lots of rain storms. And the story wouldn’t be complete without Grams. We also get glimpses into all the brothers with a nice set up for Brady’s story next.
