Lamont U #1

The Fake Date Agreement

Rate this book
Fake dating three hockey players to get back at my cheating ex? Win. A relationship that is not real, will never be real, and can't possibly last? Surprisingly perfect.

Everyone cheers when a guy kisses his date for the kiss cam. Except me. See that guy was my boyfriend. Emphasis on was.

My night goes from bad to worse when I lock myself in the arena bathroom and have three hockey players convinced the place is haunted.

It's not all bad though. Did I mention they're the smoking-hot stars of Lamont University’s hockey team? Maybe my night’s looking up after all.

They saw the kiss and bet my cheating ex won't just beg me to take him back, he'll do it on his knees.

I don't believe them.

Me? Tobie Myers, the library science major who nearly broke her nose dropping a book on her face. No way is anyone on their knees begging for me. But what do I have to lose? I want revenge. Caleb, Reid, and Javier are eager to give it to me. Why not get a little payback?

Suddenly, I have three fake boyfriends, and suddenly my ex starts paying attention. I just want to make him suffer.

But I didn’t count on my feelings changing. They're more intense than they've ever been before. I have butterflies in my belly, and I'm dizzy with a sense we might have something special.

When my ex comes crawling back, my fake boyfriends feel like my real boyfriends, and none of us is ready for this fake-dating game to be over.

But this isn't real.

They're heading into the NHL, and I'll go back to being plain, invisible Tobie. This can't possibly last, can it?

Tobie has just caught her boyfriend of 6 years cheating and has been humiliated publicly. The Magic 3 players of the college Hockey team witnessed this and want to help sweet Tobie get revenge.
Reid is smitten from their first meeting and it's his idea to start fake dating Tobie. He says it's a two-way deal with the championship coming up, he gets to keep the puck bunnies at bay so they can concentrate on the big game and in turn they'll help show her ex what he's been missing. At least that's how things start until he falls fast and hard.
Javier is in on this deal too, he wants to help Tobie be happy as she is and find her confidence but when she's sees him and treats him like a person rather than an asset he can't help but fall for the first girl to want him for him.
Caleb is all about the game. Nothing has ever wavered his focus til Tobie. She has helped him be reminded about how he loves the game and hasn't tried to change who he is despite him being gruff and unsociable.
I'm sure you can do the math on what happens next and the trouble said ex stirrs before they can finally aim for a HEA that is no longer fake or part of an agreement. But with the end of the school year looming and their lives about to move in different directions could things turn real?

This book took me completely by surprise and I loved every second of it. The Fake Date Agreement had me laughing out loud constantly, but also occasionally staring at the pages like, “Wait, what?!”. Somehow, Ember L. Nicole made the three guys, one girl thing work in the most charming, emotional, and unexpectedly sweet way.

Each of the guys was written with so much heart, and I loved that they each had their own little backstory. That said, I did wish we got to know them a bit more deeply, it felt a little surface-level at times, and I would’ve happily read more to really dig into their pasts. Still, they were all sweet, loving, and so easy to fall for.

Now let’s talk specifics:
• I am a certified Mark hater, no hesitation.
• I need to know what the hell happened with Max and those ice hockey players. There’s teasing and buildup, but we never get the full story and that is just cruel.
• And if I had to pick one of the three? I am a Caleb girl through and through. Grumpy on the outside, but on the inside, he’s a soft little cinnamon bun. Absolute favorite.

Heads up: there are some very explicit bedroom scenes. If that’s not your thing, this book might not be for you. But if you’re up for a spicy, unconventional romance with heart, humor, and three ridiculously lovable men, this is a five-star read.

okay don’t get me wrong this was a really good book but the whole time something was missing
i actually liked the plot and the whole fake dating trope i

i adored tobie i relate to her so much she’s such a sweetheart and i love her character arch and how much she cared for the three guys

i loved how all three guys had a character arch though they could definitely be developed more

the sex scenes where great but what this book was missing was the connection between all four of them and not just tobie and each of the guys

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this full book, such an entertaining read. It’s full of banter and emotions.

Marc is an absolute waste of space, the more he’s introduced, the more you want to just punch him. Emotional abuse is so real, and has damaged Tobie in more ways than she realises.

“There are so many different versions of beauty, and I don’t understand why I'm so fixated on what I need to be to be considered beautiful.”

Luckily, Caleb, Reid and Javier, are the perfect trio to show her and make her realise how truly amazing and beautiful she is. How she deserves to be treated. How obsessed they all get with her. They’re three complete different men, and their personalities are written in such an amazing way, it becomes clear why they do and say the things they do.

“You feel like mine. Like you were always meant to be.”

A why choose romance that makes you smile, makes you encourage revenge and swoon, all the the same time!

“She feels like someone I wouldn’t just want forever, but someone I need.”

Everyone needs a possessive and protective guy like Caleb, a charming and positive guy like Reid, and a generous and down to earth guy like Javier (all rich people should be like Javier!!)

Thank you so much for the ARC Ember L. Nicole and LoveNotes PR 🌼

This was an cute, easy read.

Reid, Javier and Caleb are the hockey gods whereas Tobie is the shy, nerdy type. One very public breakup and their worlds collide.

My main issue was the pacing. The characters were a little too surface level for me and their actions didn’t always add up.

I think it could have been a lot shorter as I did find myself skimming a bit. I really liked the premise of the book but couldn’t get stuck in.

Still an easy read, perfect for those wanting a why-choose hockey romance that’s not too intense.

All opinions are my own. Thank you to Love Notes PR and the author for the arc.

After having a very public break-up Tobie, she wants revenge. When three of the Hockey team players take on the challenge to help and fake date her to make her Ex jealous.

This reads very Wattpad-ie and it felt it. I did feel like parts were just wrong. One of the characters is Brazilian but I do not think the author has done any research into Brazil. She introduced him as Portuguese?!

The Fake Date Agreement 🏒

Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes Pr and Ember L.Nicole for trusting me with this ARC.

Ladies and Gentlemen (mostly ladies actually),I deliver you the smut of the smuts.🌶️
Tobie, learns that her boyfriend of six years have been cheating on her on kiss cam, while everyone cheers on the outside, she screams on the inside. What a dreamy way to pass your anniversary!
However, three hockey players from campus may want to help her get,her own revenge as long as pretenting to date her.Yes,all of them.
This book was something else for me,I loved every bit of it because I literally did not know what was going to happen in this fake agreement, with the ex,with the boys with Tobie herself.I was so deep in it that I literally forgot I was reading multple times + had every reaction possible. It was fast paced, constantly kept me on edge and she did a wondeful job with THOSE scenes.Girl,THANK YOU 🙏🏻.
As you understood,we have a BIG romance going on there. Our three boys, that they were so cute all the time, trying to do everything right, understand her, give her space & time when needed, fullfil every,I repeat EVERY need she had,and my girl Tobie, every cell in my body loved that girl. She is me I am her,she is strong in her way, funny, adorable AND A SMUT READER,girl I love you🫶🏻.Back to the romance,I can honestly say, even if it is controversial it was one of the purest ones I have read about, they truly worshiped their girl, and put everything aside in order for her own good.
Also, you know about all those couples that definitely broke up after the book? Not,this time. The love that Nicole made them have deserves more than an eternity, even if it a book heavy on the explicit scenes the romance was always there.
Next, the smut🌶️.I can surerly say that, for me,this is the smuttiest book I have ever read, and I was here for it so ,so much.I usually avoid those, because I tend to cringe really easily, yet this one was ADDICTING.Long story short, everything you can think pre-read is inside pf that story🥹.
If you ask me,I will say read it yesterday, even this isn't possible,so get in the line and read it on June 6th📚

Kiss Me — Sixpence None The Richer

This was such a cute read with SOOO much banter omggg

I loved the rep we got with an actually uncommon autoimmune disease (Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis) AND the bookish FMC trope aswell SO CUTE. I absolutely adore this book. I sat outside tanning for a good 2 hours just reading this and got like 60% through it, i was so entertained and im so surprised. The pacing was so good, especially for being 500 pages, all the characters made it so much easier to enjoy theyre all so lovely. Tobie was the cutest girl ever and the guys UGHHHH they’re the sweetest men to ever exist. I love how they protected Tobie NO MATTER WHAT. They were so obsessed with her i cant even…

I need a book on Max & Tobies father ASAP.. i loved these two, even if they’re just side characters

I enjoyed a why choose book much more than I thought i would’ve…

"Tobie did this. She brought Reid, Jay, and me closer together. Helped me mend the break between Christian and me. She reminded me of the joy of the game, and i will always love her for that. I want to win this game for her. This goal is all hers.”

“She deserves someone who will treat her like she’s the center of their world. Marc was the one lucky to have her, and he did not deserve someone as sweet and beautiful as Tobie. Not for a single day.”

📚 Book 1 in the "Lamont U" series of Interconnected Standalones
🖤 Why Choose
🏒 Hockey Romance

Tobie [October] seriously has the absolute worst 6yr anniversary date with her then BF Mark. However that does lead her to Caleb, Reid, and Javier which I think turns out pretty damn well for her.

Tobi is a shy, nerdy type bookworm who has a kinkier side once she has been accepted, and loved how she was meant to be. Caleb, Reid, and Javier each bring out a different side to Tobie and support her physical, emotional, and mental needs. If I had to pick one of the guys, Caleb would be my favorite. He was the most complex, and even though he had an immense amount of pressure on him and he was trying to fight his attraction to Tobi he still noticed every little thing about her and made it his mission to take care of her.

The "Revenge" plot that was hatched between the guys & Tobi was so see through from the start. They all knew from the beginning that it was never a "Fake Relationship" for them, but it took forever for them to actually own up to it. Mark deserves everything that he got, but actually he deserves way more karma.

Looking forward to learning about Max's story, and Hallies!

~~ARC Review~~
So thankful to get this ARC review and while this is the first book I have read from this author, it was ON POINT. I appreciated how real these characters felt, everyone had problems, no ones life was perfect, but in this why chose they all chose to help each other along the way. Sometimes life requires you to confront things, sometimes it requires you to move past things and the characters all encouraged each other's growth along the way. And it helps that the spice was there but wasn't too over the top. We all love a well thought out game plan ;). And low key how sweet the FMCs dad is LOVE IT.

The Vibes:
Fake Dating
Revenge Plot
They help her feel as beautiful as she is
Why Chose
Teammates
Hockey

Cant wait to see what comes next in this series.

Three hockey players who fall in love with a girl while helping her take revenge on her cheating ex?
You have won me over.
I liked almost everything about this novel: from Tobie, a protagonist I found really easy to relate to, to her personal growth and the relationship she builds with all three boys. What I found lacking and which made me a bit frown, was the space for the psyche and feelings of the three male protagonists, because it seemed that they were only discussed in relation to Tobie and not as individuals. I would have liked to know them better, even when they were alone.

Lighthearted easy read😄
Strong plot with good characters, I just found the pacing a little slow at times and I was skimming parts. The male characters of this story are quite moralistic with their stories; Reed is the loveable helper who has to learn that it’s ok to ask for help just cause he holds the role of caregiver in the group; Javier has to deal with the dilemma of choosing to do what you love against loving up to other people’s expectations and wants; Caleb is the ace old tale of something you love become the be all and end all till you loose sight of life and it becomes a chore 🙈 Tobie is a breath of fresh air for these guy, although it starts as a fake relationship to get back at her eejit of an ex she shows these men their worth outside of hockey and what it means to be well rounded individuals 😃 and for that the guys soon truly fall in love with her 🥰 they also help build her up after her exes actions have left her lacking her mojo 😖 and they definitely give her confidence in all the best ways 😜😉🌶️

This is my second ever hockey romance book! It was 90% romance with 10% hockey championship discussion.

The entire book revolved about the polyamorous relationship between 3 hockey players and one woman. If you were ever interested in how those dynamics would work out I feel like this as a good representation.

The FMC has a chronic disease, and as someone living with a chronic disease I loved the representation! And I also loved how sweet the caring the guys were when it came to things that might cause her flare ups.

I enjoyed the book overall but it did feel like it was dragging at the 75% mark and could benefit from being 100-150 pages shorter.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This. Book. My flabbers were GASTED!! This was my first time reading Ember Nicole and it ABSOLUTELY will not be my last! I was a little intimidated by the length of the book, I’ve never had a hockey romance be over 500 pages but I FLEW through this book, it was THAT addicting and had me sweating and screaming like a school girl! 😍😍

Tobie is our gorgeous and sweet as pie FMC. She’s a bookish girl studying library sciences in college so naturally, a girl after my own heart that we ALL can relate to 🥰🥰 She suffers from a thyroid auto immune disease that causes her to be very self conscious and insecure about her weight and appearance. It’s also a major reason why she dates d-bags like Marc.

Tobie is at a hockey game to surprise Marc on their 6 year anniversary when the kiss cam pans to him and a girl that’s DEFINITELY not her. She she’s them kiss and realises he’s been cheating on her and is humiliated in front of the entire arena. Her night goes from bad to worse when she ends up getting locked in the arena bathroom and can’t get out. Thankfully help is on the way in more ways than one.

Javier, Reid, and Caleb…the universities hottest and most sought after trio on and off the ice. The Magic Three, as they are known, find Tobie locked in the bathroom and let her out. Trying to comfort her after hearing what happened. One thing leads to another and they instantly know they want to help her. They decide the best revenge is for her to get a new boyfriend…or three 🤭 the propose a fake dating arrangement with all three to get back at her ex…plan sounds perfect to me 😍 this works for them too…one, she’s beautiful…also, it will help get the other women off them so they can fully concentrate on hockey with no distractions. Win win, right ?

But…we all know how fake dating works in books like this, and this situation is no different. Everyone starts catching feelings and these men can’t help but worship the ground Tobie walks on. They each bring something different to the table, something unique that Tobie needs. But one thing they all agree on, she’s amazing and deserves to be treated like the queen she is…and they have absolutely no problem doing just that.

These men show Tobie that she is worth so much more than she gives herself credit for. They love her unconditionally and so deeply…not just parts of her but all of her. Showing her that for the right man she will never be too much and she will never have to hide or shrink down to fit the mold they want. And these men love every inch of her. They also care for her emotionally , mentally and physically. Learning about her illness and being the support she needs.

And in the bedroom?? Good lord 🥵🥵🥵 nothing was off limits. Tobie may be the shy bookish girl, but she was living every book girls fantasy in that bedroom with her three men. Nothing was off the table, nothing was too much…and I was here for all of it and screaming for more!

Tobie also helped the guys grow and see themselves as worthy and deserving of every good thing in the world. She supported and loved them all in the ways they needed. Accepting their flaws and showing them that together they could do and be anything.

We have some miscommunication and 3rd act drama…also Marc tries to weasel his way back in but Tobie is having none of it. She’s grown and learned to stand up for herself. Growing more confident with the love and support of her men and I couldn’t help but cheer for her as she showed Marc exactly what he lost out on.

The ending was unexpected but so perfect! I won’t spoil it but I was crying happy tears! It was the perfect way to end this truly heartfelt story. 💙

Thank you so so much to Ember L. Nicole and Love Notes PR for the opportunity to read this amazing book 💙

After an extremely bad day, that began with being publicly cheated on by her boyfriend, Tobie Myers is ready to curl up into a ball and hide from the world. When three of Lamont University’s star hockey players find her locked in a bathroom amidst this bad day, they form a plan to help her get revenge. Now, Tobie finds herself with three incredibly hot, fake boyfriends who want to help make her ex jealous and realize what he’s lost. But at some point, the relationship doesn’t feel all that fake…

I absolutely love this book. I’m pretty sure I read the first 50% in a single sitting, I just couldn’t put it down. Genuinely sad that I finished it already and I’ll never get to read it for the first time again. Also questioning how soon is too soon for a reread…

The pacing was perfect. Even though this book is 500 pages, it absolutely didn’t feel that way. It is so easy to get sucked in, fly through, and forget any time had passed.

All of the characters were incredible.

Tobie was such a wonderful main character. I really enjoyed how realistic she felt and her growth throughout the book. I will admit sometimes I wanted to whack her - lovingly, I swear - and tell her she’s worthy, but I think we all need that in life from time to time. Her ex-boyfriend also deserves to get whacked - not lovingly.

The guys were the sweetest, and I couldn’t get enough of how protective they were over Tobie. Add in their dedication to making her feel worthy, loved, and confident in her own skin? Utter perfection. Oh and don’t even get me started on how much I loved their response to Tobie being on her period. A-maz-ing. The banter between the three of them was hilarious. They really came across as three guys who have been friends for a while and trust one another. They were always supportive of one another and incredibly thoughtful.

Even the side characters were amazing. Tobie’s dad was one of my favorites - I loved their relationship and how supportive they are of one another. I also really loved Max. Any girl that threatens to castrate a man if he’s not good to her friend is a 10/10 for me. I really hope she gets a book because I would love to learn more about her past.

Thank you so much to Ember L. Nicole and Grey’s Promotions for the opportunity to ARC read this book. All thoughts are my own. 💗

ARC Review:

My first ever why choose romance and I'M NOW A FAN OF THE TROPE! I would 100% buy a physical copy of this book <3

The story follows Tobie who gets cheated on by her boyfriend of 6 years AND humiliated in front of a crowd of hockey fans.

When she runs off and gets herself locked in a bathroom stall, 3 hockey players known as the Magic Three – Javier, Reid and Caleb – go to investigate the noises they hear (turns out it was Tobie & not a ghost! :D) & end up forming an agreement:

All 4 pretend to be in a relationship, so girls can stop distracting the boys from playing hockey and back off, & to get back at Tobie's ex Marc for breaking her heart. What none of them expected was to find love in this fake arrangement.

Tobie was very relatable with her insecurities & her personality. Sometimes I found myself frustrated with her when she downplayed her feelings, but then I realized her ex made her like that. But I loved how she grew as the story progressed.

The boys? Ugh I just loved how they took care of her and showed her what true love & devotion looked like. They listened to her, whether it be her needs or her dreams, they were attentive, but also gave her space when she required it. (And vice versa! Those are her boys! 🫶🏽)

& the smut? There were loads (😏) of it. Each man had her, separately AND together 🫠 They each had different approaches to pleasing her & it was *chef's kiss* She was a little freak too! but she's a bookworm, so it wasn't a surprise 🫢

The ex eventually tries to get back with her, but at this point she knows her worth & rejects him (& stands up for herself)

I wanna dock points for the miscommunication trope because I was this 🤏🏽 close to flinging my phone 🥲 It did get resolved, but boy was my chest heavy when it happened.

One thing I wondered about that was never explained was Max's (Tobie's friend) involvement with a hockey player. She was always avoiding the team & it seemed like it was serious.

As for the ending? As someone who doesn't care for a FMC getting pregnant I was bit meh about it. Am I projecting about not wanting kids? Perhaps lol but it WAS cute! I love that everyone plays a role in the kids' lives.

There are some good things here but far more things that irritated me. In lieu of writing a thesis paper on all of the things that irked me, I'll just talk about a couple of the biggest issues.

One of the most annoying things that occurs throughout the entire book, and I mean literally from the beginning to practically the end, and at regular intervals, is how insecure Tobie is. I get being insecure. I can even understand expressing it out loud to the people who care about you. What I don't understand is how, despite all of the blatant and copious amounts of evidence to the contrary (evidence that presents as verbal compliments, physical reactions, and displays/actions that support all of that), Tobie didn't believe she was desirable/beautiful/funny/worthy/etc. It was obnoxious. She'd act/think like a confident person one moment and would suddenly be mousy and insecure the next. Not just a little bit like a normal person. I mean like she was two different people.

This ties into my other major issue: continuity. So many continuity errors and just overall lack of content editing. In one scene, a character was described as wearing 3 different types of clothing on his bottom half within a few sentences. First it was "only boxers," then it was briefs, then it was pants. He can't "only" be wearing 3 different things. Some of the chapters felt like they were written without consulting each other, so to speak. Like scenes were written as independent stories and then thrown together without making sure parts match up. And I can't believe no one who read this in early stages failed to point out that a hockey player, who is in the middle of a game, wouldn't be running up stadium stairs because he'd have skates on, and he wouldn't take his jersey off to give away mid-game, but if he did he wouldn't have nothing on underneath. Those guys are padded up. Don't write a hockey story and forget they wear pads and skates.

The good in this book is overshadowed by the bad, and quite honestly, occasionally stupid. And the convoluted dialogue, but I digress...

I loved this book! I devoured it in a few days! This is a why choose, so if that’s not your thing, then you have been warned lol.

The book follows Tobie, who is been with her boyfriend for 6 years, and she wants to surprise him at a hockey game on their anniversary. Yes, he chose to go to a game on their anniversary… Tobie thinks that it will be a cute idea until she gets to the game and sees him kissing another girl on a kiss cam! Humiliated and shocked, Tobie runs home and runs into three of the hottest guys on the hockey team who are going pro. The guys all feel bad for Tobie and want to help her get revenge on her cheating ex… they promise to help her, into it turns into something more.

I loved the boys and their banter in the book, and the spice was oofffff the charts! I gobbled up every scene, they were so spicy! The boys in this book will have you swooning and kicking your feet in the air. I loved how each guy brought something unique to the relationship. Tobie's relationship with the boys was unique, so I couldn’t choose who she should end up with; they are all so amazing. Good thing it’s a why choose ;) The boys were all so kind and caring, and always making sure to put her first.

I liked the pacing of the story. I didn’t feel like certain scenes lasted too long, and I felt like there was enough time for their relationships to all build naturally. I loved all the twists that happened towards the last 100 pages of the book. They are so good and they all come out of nowhere that you won’t be able to put the book down! All in all, this is a great book!

I received this as an arc….

This is the second Why choose sports romance I’ve read and fully enjoyed this.

It starts off with FMC Tobie, who’s catches her bf cheating on her at a hockey match by kissing a girl on the kiss cam. She’s hurt, distraught and upset, so she runs off into a bathroom and gets looked in 😂😂.

Javier, Caleb & Reid, come across her by seeking out the noise they can hear and basically run into her. The lads come up with a plan to not only get revenge back on her cheating ex, but also a plan that will help the lads out as there coming up to one of the most important hockey games.

Fake Dating!!!!, the guys literally take care of Tobie and particularly worship the ground she walks on. Not only do they make feel important, beautiful and confident, but the whole “fake dating” kinda starts looking more of it not being fake anymore.

Here comes the jealous ex, who try’s his best to get her back, and pulls a horrible move (dickhead).

We learn bits about the lads, especially Javier and the pressure his parents put on him about playing hockey and what they want him to do. There was one bit that I wish more details came out, and it was to do with Tobie’s friend Max. It seems like something happened with her and either a member from the hockey team. But it was never confirmed on what it was.

All in all I really did enjoy this, the spice was juicy, and the last 10% with Tobie and the guys was chief’s kiss.

Hockey Players & Why Choose - SAY LESS!

A great why choose read that has the greenest of green flagged men that will do anything for our FMC.

Tobie (October) is our FMC and she has a thyroid issue that we know about from the get go, it plays a part in her not being confident in herself or her looks, but my god do these guys make her feel beautiful!

The story starts with her attending a Hockey game to surprise her boyfriend Marc (who we hate). When she arrives the kiss cam is pointing at him, then expands to the girl next to him who he has been cheating on her with. She is mortified, especially when the camera then pans to her and the whole arena has front row seats to the most embarrassing night of her life.
After multiple fails that night she finds herself locked in the arena bathroom with no way out...until the three guys that stayed behind to practice (the magic three) find her and essentially resuce her...in more ways than she could of imagined.

The boys come up with a fake dating plan to get back at her ex, and to stop girls distracting them from Hockey - and who wouldn't agree to fake dating three of the hottest men on earth?!

The only trouble is...fake dating can only last so long...what happens when the arrangement comes to it's end date? How can anyone just walk away from it?
Feelings don't seem to feel so fake...

These guys are the most thoughtful boys, literally from the get go! The greenest of green flags and I AM HERE FOR IT!

They treat Tobie like the absolute queen she is and she helps each of them in her own way which captures all of their hearts (and mine)

I loved the banter between the three guys, their chapter POV's were written perfectly and everything the characters felt, i felt right along with them.

A fun read, the spice was perfect and the epilogue closed everything off with a big gold bow.

A sweet hockey romance

After catching her boyfriend on their 6th anniversary cheating on her at a hockey game, things just kept going downhill. Publicly humiliated (because, of course, it was all caught on kiss cam for everyone to see), she runs off and gets trapped in a dark bathroom in the arena. When she manages to escape, she bumps into three of the hockey players from the local team. One of them eventually recognizes her from the kiss cam and decides to help her get revenge on her new ex - They'll all pretend to date her and have him begging for her back.

As most fake romances go, their relationships didn't stay fake for long. Despite no one voicing it, feelings got very real for all of them. The guys helped Tobie find herself. They brought her laughter, confidence, and happiness. She brought out the best in them, as well, and helped them overcome challenges in their own lives.

If you enjoy sports and fake romance genres, you'll definitely enjoy "The Fake Date Agreement." There's no real OW drama, no bullying, just a smooth transition from fake to real love!

This was so sweet 💗💗💗

The boyfriends aren't boyfriends, like how I usually prefer it, but they're the bestest friends, and that might have actually been better. 🥰 They care about each other so much and they share so well! The bond they had was so strong and believable, and I envy it.

While our FMC, Tobie, is insecure, low in confidence and craving affection, she wasn't a doormat. 💪🏻😤 It was so beautiful to see the way she bloomed under the men's love and care.

The third act conflict was cliche and lowkey kinda dumb but I'm glad that it didn't drag out and was clarified quickly enough without excessive drama. 🙏🏻

Max was such a good friend despite how she was clearly going through something traumatic. 🥲 I have a feeling we'll get a book following her and we'll learn what happened between her and hockey players. I just wish Tobie had paid her a bit more attention considering how much support Max was giving her.

Overall, a really great RH Why-choose sports romance that highlighted the importance of friendship and trust 💗

First I would like to say a massive thank you to Ember L Nicole for the opportunity to get my hands on this book in return for my honest review 💗

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ♾️

Wow, Wow, Wow!

This book is amazing and a must read 📚 Ember L Nicole knows how to write a book that is seriously addictive ❤️

I literally ate this up! The characters are the BEST 💗 Tobie, Javier, Caleb and Reid are going to be living rent free in my head and heart for the foreseeable future, and I don't mind a single bit 🙂

The plot of this book is so easy to follow, the characters are easy to remember but they all play such a huge part in the book. I thought the 4 POVS might be difficult to grasp and I couldn't have been more wrong 😘 the story flows beautifully!

This book is my number 1 book of 2025 so far 😻 To all my fellow spicy 🌶 romance 😍 lovers, please get this book when it's released and enjoy every single page!

Truly outstanding and a book I definitely wont be forgetting anytime soon 💜

Thank you Love Notes PR, Ember L. Nicole and team for allowing me the opportunity to arc read this book. I flew through it, it didn’t even feel like the 500 or so pages kindle said it was. This had the perfect amount of plot, longing, and sexiness, the only issue I had was I would have is I wanted Tobies ex to have had even more bad stuff happen to him. Also I would have loved more mmmf swords crossing, but that’s a personal preference 😅 this book was so fun, it had me giggling and kicking my feet and I hope we get more books in this universe.

ARC Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

First off thank you to Love Notes PR and Ember Nicole for letting me read this ARC!

• why choose hockey romance
• fake dating
• spicy
• swoon worthy

I honestly really enjoyed this book! The chemistry between the characters kept my attention the entire time! I also enjoyed how everyone had really good backstories and their own baggage that just made you understand them a bit more. I like how hockey was sprinkled in there but not the whole entire main focus of the book leaving room where if a reader doesn’t care much for the sport it’s not the main focus.

Towards the end I feel the pacing did slow down but I also was just in a hurry for what I was wanting to happen to hurry up and happen. I love how the epilogue tied the story together nicely and didn’t drag it on.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more from this author! 10/10 would recommend this book to my friends!

Listen….the beginning of this book really had me ready to fight Ember Nicole for how dirty she did my girl Tobie by locking her in the hockey arena’s bathroom…but she redeemed herself by introducing Javier, Caleb and Reid into her world. Three hockey players devoted to making every ounce of Tobie’s cheating ex jealous would make any girl swoon but then the cherry on top is that they each start falling in love with her and my butterflies in my stomach were going wild!! The Fake Date Agreement was such a great why choose, spicy but cute romantic book that only girls (*cough cough* me) would hope would come true in real life.

I am obsessed! I devoured this book so quickly. I loved each character and I don’t think I could have picked if I was Tobie so I get it. But if I HAD to choose I think I’d go for Reid, I loved how much he cared.

Even though this book was 500 pages (according to my kindle) it didn’t feel too long, I felt the way it was written kept it fast pace and left you wanting more.

If you like Smut, Smut and even more Smut in the form of 3 attractive hockey players then this book is for you!
