AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.

2.5/5 rounding up

Ok this one definitely could have been a novella. The feelings were super rushed but the plot was sooo dragged out. I absolutely did not care about the estate drama enough for 275 pages. And it was actually pretty sad, because the villain was just a woman trying to find any closure at all about being put up for adoption.

Sadly this one was not a book for me.
There were too many Details that didn’t add up. I was told, that the Gargoyle was a lot of years asleep in stone and didn’t recognize a smart phone, thought it was magic and a couple of pages later he had one himself and knew very well how to use it and had a big fight with his brother two years ago? Just to mention some of the things that didn’t make sense to me.

In addition to the changing details the love story was very simple and everything was just insta love. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy insta love as a trope with fated mates, but please show me a little more of the emotions and how they get to know each other than just tell me that they are in love from one second to the next.

Sadly not my cup of tea but I am looking forward to other stories in harmony glen from other authors.

Cute

I'm feeling a theme with this series so far 🤔 I gotta say, that I love how sweet and romantic th MMC was. Absolutely adored him. I was a bit upset that not everyone had a happy ending. While I was rooting for the FMC the whole time, I still felt like her aunt... or... great aunt? (That part was a bit confusing) her daughter should have stuck around and got to know Dazy and her Mom in turn through her. I felt like the Dad should have showed up at the end, and he should have said how much he was proud of her, but those two characters, kinda got written off in my opinion. There was still so much mystery as to why her aunt gave her only child up for adoption, why she kept it a secret, etc. And if she didn’t have a sister, how was the FMC even related. At first I thought it said that her father was her aunts brother, but then it made it seem like he was her nephew. Not only that, but the timelines were all over the place. The MMC seemed almost too... not perfect, but convenient. He conveniently knew law and business, but apparently got his degrees 25 years prior. He was there when her Aunt was a kid, but stated that he only turned to stone when the residents weren't there, so he still would have aged right along with her. They also said how well her Aunt took care of the place, yet only the last 3 years was the place abandoned, but when he changes back from stone in the begining, he acts like its been decades and is surprised the place is in such a state. He even has a phone, and cash, yet he doesn't seem to have an income. It's just, idk, little things added up and it became very confusing. The story was still cute, though the spice was very fluffy and skimmed over. I think that's how this series is supposed to be, though. Less focused on the spice and more on those heartfelt moments. It definitely played out like a Halmark movie, that's for sure, and that's not a bad thing. I will be trying this Author's Orc Cowboy series, though, and see if that has more spice in it 😉

🖤 “With you, I'm ready for anything.”
~~~
Dazy is amazing! She’s kind, compassionate and so nice. Even more, I loved that she didn’t shy from hard work and her ability to see potential and beauty where others see problems. And I loved her determination to fight for the things she loved. Dazy’s sunshiny personality was truly wonderful and I loved her so, so much!
And Feydin is an incredible male, too! The huge and fearsome gargoyle might appear grumpy, scowly and growly at first, but he’s the sweetest cinnamon roll on the inside. Feydin is so observant, thoughtful and fiercely protective. And he’s so adorably awkward at times. Did I mention that he’s a lawyer, too? Feydin is totally swoonworthy and I couldn’t help but adore every single thing about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Dazy and Feydin! Dazy inherits her great aunt’s mansion in Harmony Glen and, surprisingly, it comes with a huge gargoyle, whose heart starts beating the moment Dazy steps into the property, perched on its rooftop. I adored Dazy and Feydin together! Their chemistry was fantastic from the start and I loved every moment they spent in each other’s company - their banters, teasings and light bickering were a true delight to read. Even more, I adored Feydin for everything he did for Dazy - he’s a truly incredible, romantic, supportive and irresistible male! And when they couldn’t stay away from each other anymore, the passionate moments they shared were so hot and I couldn’t get enough of all the naughty delight! Dazy and Feydin were absolutely perfect for each other and more than deserved to find happiness and love together in Harmony Glen!
Overall, Never Been Gargoyled is a fun, sweet, cozy, naughty and absolutely wonderful story and I loved every single page of it!
Wings of Love
Dazy Osbourne arrives at her late great aunt’s estate with his hopes of starting a brand new life. Along with the estate, she’s inherited some money to refurbish it and hopefully create a botanical garden. What she doesn’t know is that she also seems to have inherited a gargoyle named Freydin Boudiere.
Ever since Helga Morrison went into a memory care facility, Freydin’s been frozen on the roof, waiting for a new owner to arrive and awaken him. Dazy’s arrival awakens him, but more than that, she brings a warming to him that only a dated mate can bring.
When a challenger to Dazy’s inheritance comes to town, Freydin promises to do all that he can to help Dazy keep hold of Winterbourne Estate.
Major inconsistencies, even in the first four chapters
I picked this book because I thought it would be good based on what I had read of it. But then when I actually got into the book, the inconsistencies in the first four chapters drove me insane and I didn’t even finish the fourth chapter. Please, please Ava Ross reread your bookand rewrite it. The inconsistencies from one chapter to the next are horrendous. I’ve read a couple of your orc books before and the two that I read I don’t remember them being this bad with the inconsistencies. So please for your readers and for your own sense of pride, please reread your book and fix the inconsistencies. Picture in your head as you’re reading it and you’ll see the inconsistencies.
Oh my, Feydin (*sigh). I totally loved Feydin and Dazy. This is such a sweet, cozy read. Dazy inherits a manor house in Harmony Glen that come complete with a grumpy Gargoyle. Feydin starts coming back to life when Dazy steps onto the over run property....she's is fated mate! I loved his journey as he tries to woo his fated one and while he and Dazy work to save the Manor. This such a wonderful story with warm characters and storyline. Ava Ross is one of my favorite author for a very good reason, she is an awesome writer who has figured out how to make her characters come to life and how to tell a story in a way that keeps you reading way past bedtime. 5 stars
Dazy has inherited her great aunt's place in Harmony Glen and loves the town and residents. She also has a gargoyle on her roof. Feydin starts waking up when Dazy arrives and he knows she's his fated mate. He wants to help and protect her but also woo her.
Ava is an amazing storyteller and brings her characters to life and as I read, I feel such a part of the story. She writes of small town life, drama, the work involved with fixing up the estate, a bad guy and the growing connection between Dazy and Feydin.
This is another wonderful addition to the multi author Harmony Glen series. Enjoy them all.
Never Been Gargoyled – Ava Ross
First read
My first visit to Harmony Glen and I absolutely love the town already.
This one made me laugh quite a bit, especially the weed whacker scene which was hilarious. The humour throughout the book really worked for me.
Feydin was the perfect MMC — an awkward caregiver type which I always love. Watching him interact with Dazy was really sweet. I also enjoyed the backdrop of the estate inheritance and Dazy’s idea of turning it into a botanical garden, which added a nice layer to the story.
A really fun introduction to Harmony Glen and I’m looking forward to spending more time in this world.
Never Been Gargoyled by Ava Ross is part of the multi author Harmony Glen series which takes place in upstate New York. The stories are standalone but interconnected. As usual, Ava Ross weaves a wonderful story, filled with creativity, warmth, and heart. Both Feydin and Dazy are lovely, each, so kind and with their own special gifts. This fated mate story has some heat, some drama, and a whole lot of fun!
As the town motto states: “Come for the harmony, stay for the happily ever after”. Pick this one up – you won’t be disappointed.
The author has created two wonderful characters in this book. I appreciated the sunny disposition of the female main character (FMC) and her zest for life. I loved the male main character’s (MMC) devotion and care for her. It's no wonder the FMC fell for him. Although there were difficulties that darkened their lives, the way they cling to each other and let their love grow stronger made me appreciate their characters even more. These two truly embody good people, and I enjoyed getting to know them.
Oh my what an incredible read. Ava nailed it again with an amazing story set in Harmony Glen. This little slice of heaven is just the thing that our female lead ( Dazy) needs.
On the other hand, our male lead (Feydin) an incredulous Gargoyle, has his own agenda.
Together they cross many barriers, and as their love grows so does the desperation to preserve his and her very existence. A fight that both endure with patience and compassion. A love story that melts your heart. 💜
Never say Never 🤣
Come to Harmony Glenn and enjoy Ava Ross's Never Been Gargoyled. You'll meet Dazy who has inherited her great aunt's stately slightly ramshackled old mansion surrounded with beautiful overgrown gardens which Dazy plans to renovate into beautiful botanical gardens. Did I mention the estate comes with a huge, grumpy gargoyle whose heart starts beating for Dazy almost immediately and causes him to help her fight her cousin to keep the garden dream alive? Lovely story and romance!
This is another fun addition to this multi-author series and I loved it! Dazy and Feydin were perfect together and I love how he comes to life when she arrives at her inherited manor. He was so sweet and worked hard at wooing her - despite his grumpy nature ;P This is a fated mates romance that's filled with all the cozy, sweet and hot spice I love in a romance. So good and I can't wait to check out more books set in this world!
I'm a Sucker for a Sweet Gargoyle 😋
I absolutely adored this story. Dazy & Feydin are the best! Their romance is sweet & funny. I laughed so much during their story. Ava Ross is truly a masterful storyteller. She has me laughing hysterically, sympathy crying with the main characters & cheering for all the characters of Harmony Glen. Every book by Ava Ross is a grand adventure & leaves me feeling so happy. Read this book. You won't regret it.
The Awakening of a Gargoyle
She wasn't quiet when she arrived having to break in when the key wouldn't work. He had been "stoned" for years waiting for the owner to arrive. She woke something in him when he went to protect the estate. He tried to scare her away, then realized that she was his fated mate. As he helped her restore the beauty of the property, their feelings deepened into love. After some legal issues were concluded, they got their HEA.
Ok, so this story was cute and heartwarming. And, don't get me wrong I loved both Dazy and Feydin. They were so cute together, and they just helped and worked together so well. Now the storyline, well, parts were good and a few other parts I felt it came out of nowhere. It was a cozy and heartfelt story which was enjoyable but just those tiny things I wished could have had more bits to it. And, those bits were rather fast-paced. Bu, otherwise, like I said it was an enjoyable read.
home is challenging
Dazy is one of those characters that I would describe as a defeatist. The attitude just annoyed me because she just couldn’t challenge herself to be more optimistic. I mean she has a gargoyle who is devoted to her. The people of Harmony Glen are rooting for her. What more could she ask for?
Freyden is devoted to Dazy so much that he just does all of these rooms and tries so hard to make her life easier. I honestly felt sorry for him.
Fantastic!
This story has absolutely everything you could want. It has romance of course and it had just the right amount of spice, in my opinion, but it had a great story that has you holding your breath until the very end. Anything I have read by Ava Ross has been wonderful. She is one of my go to authors when I want a great story and no stress and for me that's perfect.
Feydin is a gargoyle who has been “asleep” for several years. Dazy inherits an estate and as soon as she arrives she wakes up Feydin. There is a reason she is able to wake him and their connection is intense. Lots of heat and enough drama to make the story move along. Great read!
Feydin and Dazy's story was amazing. I loved their first meeting. Though when he tried to scare her was hilarious, especially when she dived through the window.
The twist with Helga's daughter was a very nice touch!
I found this book so good, that I struggled with putting it down!
What a fun story
I gave this book 5 shiny stars because I love a grumpy mmc who turns into a cinnamon roll. And all the antsy tension of their court drama. I have enjoyed Ms. Ross's writing very much.
Unputdownable!!
Fantabulous book! Well written story and well developed characters. I love the cluelessness of the gargoyle and the way he overcomes it all! The enemy's trying to take over and the emotional impact is wonderful!
It was very sweet and cozy and I did like it but in the beginning I couldn't feel any chemistry between the two main characters. I understand it was a sunshine\grump story but the MMC didn't give any hint of attraction to the FMC other than he was awakened. He fought so hard against his feelings that I almost got the impression that he actually didn't like her. It was a very slow burn with the added drama of the estate ownership. Again it was a very cozy and sweet monster story and a good pallet cleanser.
