ARC Review – Three Pucks and a Baby by Katie Ashley - 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Katie Ashley scores with Three Pucks and a Baby, a spicy, swoony, and heartwarming hockey romance that delivers laughs, love, and all the feels.
What starts as a superstitious pre-game ritual for college hockey stars Grayson and Theo—a threesome to boost their chances on the ice—turns into something much more when they invite university librarian Vivian into their lives. One night turns into four bodies tangled in sheets when Theo’s roommate Bennett walks in... and Vivian, ready to finally live a little, invites him to join. What none of them expect is the lasting impression they’ll leave on each other—or the surprise that follows.
Vivian doesn’t do casual, and she walks away, determined not to catch feelings. But a positive pregnancy test changes everything. Her return throws the guys off-balance—especially Theo, whose reaction is harsh and emotionally charged. He lashes out with some deeply hurtful words, and while he does eventually apologize, the resolution felt a bit too quick and tidy for the level of damage done. While the four begin building a life together, I did wish some of the emotional growth—particularly between Theo and Bennett, and Theo’s journey toward accountability—was more fully explored rather than left to happen off-page or during time jumps.
It’s messy, it’s sweet, it’s sexy—but above all, it’s about love in all its complicated, beautiful forms. Whether you come for the hockey or the heat, you’ll stay for the heart.
Overall, I enjoyed the ride and would read more from Katie in the future.
