Stealing Bases: A Reverse Age Gap Romance
After finding out that my husband was having an affair a year ago, I filed for divorce and moved from our two-story brick home in Houston to our beach house in Galveston with our teenage son. Tonight is my first time to go out as a single woman again. I’m at a local bar and grill on the beach with my two best friends, but we didn’t come here to do anything other than to let our hair down and catch up.
Then I saw him staring at me from across the room.
He was the definition of a tall, dark, and handsome man. He was also at least ten years younger than me and off-limits due to our age gap. But I didn’t have to worry about it since I wasn’t interested in getting romantically involved with anyone. It was enough for me to have gotten a good look at the finest piece of eye candy I had ever seen.
Before the night ended, he introduced himself and asked me to dance. I resisted him but ultimately gave in to his gentlemanly charm. After two country songs and a wonderful conversation, he and I parted ways. Less than a week later, our paths crossed again. This time, I fully gave in to him. We became lovers but are keeping our relationship a secret due to a conflict of interest that neither of us could escape.
How long would we be able to carry on this charade in public? Between our stolen glances, touches, and kisses, we were sure to be found out and that was the last thing we wanted to happen. Neither of us knew what the future held. For now, though, this blazing passion between the twenty-nine-year-old and me was pure heaven.

This is an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) review. Conventional societal values can influence our choices and actions, and interfere with our beliefs and desires. Audrey, 39, believes her primary responsibility is creating a loving, secure, single-parent home for her 15 year old son after a recent divorce. Adam, 29, and of Hispanic origin, aspired to be a major league baseball player, but his dreams were dashed by circumstanced beyond his control. A random encounter between Audrey & Adam was all it took for their souls to feel the depth of their individual pain and recognize the strength of the love that would heal it. The 10 year age difference between them was all Audrey could see. Adam knew if he could convince Audrey to view their relationship with her heart, the age difference wouldn't matter. The agony of having to steal away into the night to be with each other, and coming up with creative ways to be together in public without drawing attention to themselves was comical and clever. Their fans - Audrey's best friends and her son, and Adam's family - cheered them on in spite of the constraints society tried to put on them, and Audrey & Adam learned they can, and should swing for the fences! Stealing Bases is ¡muy caliente! and took me on an amazing, funny, sexy AF, sad, joyous journey. Gina Magee has a base-clearing, grand slam on her hands with this one!

“A+A = home run! Stealing Bases is an intimate and steamy love story. As Gina explores Audrey and Adam's hidden fantasies, she strikes into the taboo roleplays that are not typically found mainstream in society. Audrey and Adam’s love story is a turnstile of deep and heavy emotions. I could not put this ARC down, as this tore deep feelings within myself. The reverse age gap is a topic that I am all too familiar with: relating to the insecurities that an older woman feels with a younger man. As Audrey feels more comfortable in Adam's acceptance, their passion reaches a new level. I laughed and cried through this exepedition of their intense journey together. Gina pulls you through unique and intense emotions, as you feel it in her writing. This budding indie author expands her creative mind that we easily indelve into. As an avid romance reader, I welcome her unique writing style and recommend this book highly. Five stars as Gina knocked it out of the park.”

Gina has once again taken my heart on a roller coaster ride. Audrey and Adam’s story was beautiful, heartbreaking, and funny in so many ways. Keena and Renee are the best friends anyone should have.
Definitely have Kleenex available. One part had me in tears so much that I ran downstairs to have my husband hug me while I cried (if you’ve read the book, you know what part I’m talking about).
I loved loved loved the crossover from one book to the other.
This book is must read for those who enjoy spicy (lots of peppers for this one), laughing, and a love story that makes you believe in soulmates. The two best friends are the icing on the cake. Thank you, Gina, your words reach the soul of the reader.
