Full of twists and turns, a real page turner, while highlighting some of the very real systemic challenges in our world. I couldn't put it down!

A fast-paced crime story. Based in Sydney, a city-slickers family drama. Told through two different perspectives. A good read.

This fast-paced, twisty-turny book was a real page-turner! I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s also set in Sydney, which is always fun to read. Plus, it’s her first book, so .GO GIRL! I can’t wait to see what else she does.

A very strong debut, told from different viewpoints, which I enjoyed. They key characters, Skye Turner and her husband Duncan, and the detective, Mei O`Conner all had their own problems before the disastrous weekend that culminated in the death of one of the guests and the serious illness of a six-year old, Skye's daughter.
The setting, the affluent suburbs in Sydney, and the super rich who live there, all behaving badly which garners a certain train-wreck watching frisson.
A pacy page turner with a I-did-not-see-that-coming ending.

This book had me hooked from the very first page. I loved the smooth, simple writing style and couldn’t put it down. The story was gripping throughout, and while the ending didn’t land as strongly for me as the rest of the book, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the overall experience.

A fantastic read, and I’m looking forward to more from this Rachel!

A murder and poisoning takes place in the home of a wealthy family in NSW. What follows is a tightly written investigation which uncovers skeletons in the cupboard, a few red herrings and lots of tension. Read this in two days!.

This was an awesome debut. Fast-paced, unpredictable, interesting characters, unexpected twists. Can totally see this as a Netflix series. Hope there is a sequel.

It’s definitely a page turner; I was well & trurly hooked and in the moment I loved the story. On reflection I’m not so sure how credible the story is.

This wasn’t for me. I found the writing really lacking in depth, it felt very overly simplified and watered down.
None of the rem was really w l lo lines
