I was lucky enough o receive and ARC for this work. Stephanie Hansen continues to blow me away with her creativity and imagination. This is an excellent and very fulfilling conclusion to the series, all of her usual twist and turns but she doesn't leave you hanging. The characters from Replaced Parts continue to shine in Omitted Pieces and there were wonderful new characters added to the cast. My favorite being a giant size Parrot fashionista. I'm trying not to spoil it, so just trust me when I say there is angst and action and just awesome fun for everyone.

Omitted Pieces nicely wraps up the story began in Replaced Parts. The narrative is told from Sierra’s, Vienna’s and Al’s perspectives, interwoven into a complex plot with lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing until the end. I’m a fan of action, and there was plenty to be had- pursuits through jungles, infiltrating secret facilities, telepathic battles, family betrayal, a futuristic car race- all threaded with humor, teamwork, friendship, and romance. Extra points for the floating cities, found-family theme, cute robots, and gigantic talking parrots. Definitely has Lost in Space and Avatar vibes. Entertaining, creative, and heartwarming, this sci-fi tale has something for everyone!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book in the series. I would highly recommend you read the first one (Replaced Parts) before reading this.

Without spoiling things, let’s just say that the conclusion was *poof* mind-blowing. The story follows three main characters (Sierra, Vienna, Al) and it’s easy enough to follow. The elements in this were so much more than the first. More mystery, secrets, consequences. At first, it feels like it’s just slowly moving along but as the pages flipped, they flipped faster and faster. There were a few moments where my jaw hung. And since this is the second book to the series, it wraps up the story quite well. It was just so much more than the first, and I’m here for it.

I enjoyed how Hansen talked about technology and wasn’t afraid to mention the bad side of it. The writing was nice and refreshing and the plot was just as well as the first. I also liked how she was able to grab us readers and make us feel like we were there living in the year 2164. I like science so the aspect of futuristic science attracts my attention. This satisfied that attraction. Again, this is a really good YA sci-fi book, and I would so tell everyone to read this, if they’ve read the first.

I received an advance review copy, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

A captivating novel
“Omitted Pieces” is the second book in the duology called “Transformed Nexus” written by Stephanie Hansen. It's a captivating sci-fi tale with lots of suspense moments. This Time Sierra needs to save her mother who was taken as a prisoner of another planet. Sierra must reunite some friends to achieve her goal. Will she be able to do that?
It's an action-packed story with a dynamic and brave character. The way the story is told is engaging and it was as if I was immersed in those strange territories. That was thanks to the author's writing style, which I think is great. All in all, if you want to travel through different places and experience new adventures, this is the ideal story. I recommend it.

Being the second book in the Transformed Nexus series, "Omitted Pieces: A Young Adult Sci-Fi Novel" is a story without waste. The author, Stephanie Hansen, shines once again and delights us with this story. Set in the year 2164, this story explores new territory and old with dangerous compassion.

Regarding the plot of the book, I found it very good; it also has a fair mix of description and dialogue. The characters are very well drawn and described, and best of all, the story has unexpected twists and turns that make the reader unable to stop reading.

I certainly recommend this captivating read.

Omitted Pieces is the electrifying second instalment in the series Transformed Nexus and the conclusion to the story of Sierra, the fascinating protagonist. In this new book, she will have to face again great challenges to save her mother who is being held prisoner in the mysterious and dangerous planet Scepter.

The plot and worldbuilding are terrific here and the setting is also a critical part of the way the characters live and interact. The author lets both plot and characterization unfold slowly but steadily, captivating and thrilling readers. It is quite pleasant to read how characters connect and relate, especially given that they must overcome emotional and physical obstacles.

One of my favorite things about this book is the realness of it all; the setting, the emotions, the dialogues, the narration and everything in between made me feel just in the middle of the action.
Set in 2164, this young-adult fiction is so captivating and imaginative that I finished it in the first seat. The writing style, pacing and plot are all superb. The characterization was a bit subtle, but I ended up feeling like these were multidimensional and interesting people with distinct strengths and flaws.
To sum up, I would like to add that I not only enjoyed this book, but I’m also so grateful to have found it that I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Omitted Pieces is one of the best achievements in teen and young adult science fiction. Hanser is a wonder, and it feels so good having this book in my life. He has been able to go on with a saga that has proven to be promising right from the very beginning. My imagination has drifted many times during the 33 chapters. Its cover is way too realistic and the narrative gets dynamic and conversational.
All these things make me think that, I do not exaggerate, this is one of the best speculative fiction currently being written. It is packed with a unique energy that seems to come off the pages!

Embarking on the second leg of Stephanie Hansen's Transformed Nexus journey in "Omitted Pieces" is a rollercoaster ride through an interstellar adventure that doesn't pull punches. Sierra, our tenacious protagonist, finds herself on an alien planet, Scepter, wrestling with the added weight of her mother's abduction by the sinister Cromwell.

As Hansen deftly guides us through this new realm, her descriptive prowess remains a standout feature. This is the second and final book in the Transformed Nexus duology. I would definitely recommend that these be read as a full set in order as they do follow on directly, without recap and the characters are not re-presented again.

Having just finished reading book 1 - Replaced Parts - it was easy to dive straight back into this dystopian world with our main character Sierra and continue the story where we left off.

In this book we follow the story via different characters pov's and so this could definitely get confusing if you haven't met these people before.
I liked that we got to follow the story from the different pov's this time as it gave us more depth to the storyline and allowed us to see more of what was happening wider within the world.

I found this an interesting read, especially as it's not set too far into the future and it wasn't too outlandish to believe that maybe some of this could happen within our lifetimes.

A great conclusion to this duology - a nice easy read and a great introduction to this genre for the YA audience.

What an interesting book for those who enjoy a little bit of suspense and action! The plot was a bit scary at times, but nothing too terrifying to keep the book away. The author has written the characters with enough depth for the readers to feel like they really know the people in the book. The setting and description used by the author made me feel like I was a part of the book and it helped me visualise the place and characters. It made the book feel more real than I expected. I'd definitely suggest it for readers who want a fun but easy read for the weekend. If you're looking to read something that makes you jump out of your seat a few times, then read this! I must say that it also shows a lot of personal growth and conflict in the characters too.

An awesome sci-fi novel.

This is the second installment of Transformed Nexus, a fascinating sci-fi series written by Stephanie Hansen. The novel includes various worlds, evil rulers and it is developed in the future.
I liked how the author blends sci-fi with a good portion of action and ingenuity. We will see Sierra, the main character, face many different challenges and adventures to save her mother from the hands of Cromwell.
The first book was really good and this sequel is even better. It is fast-paced, intense and attractive. I enjoyed it not only because the plot is entertaining but also because each character occupies a key place in the story and everything closes perfectly. It is a must read to sci-fi lovers!

Omitted Pieces by Stephanie Hansen is the second installment in the Transformed Nexus Book series—a youth science fiction series that began with Replaced Parts, which followed Vienna on her quest across the galaxy, and all the corruption she’s encountered along the way. In this book she is aided by her boyfriend, Al, and her clone, Sierra. The characters are planets apart, however, and the story is told through their alternating points of views.
I love the complexity of the characters’ emotions—the author is skilled in writing dialogue and reflection in general. And although sometimes a happy ending can feel forced or abrupt, but the fast pace and tension of the rest of the book made the ending a relief!

Omitted Pieces is a young adult sci-fi read that is packed full of action while focusing on some internal character struggles and highlighting the conflict that the characters face. Because this is the second installment, I think it would be beneficial for readers to start with the first as to not miss any crucial information that may be necessary to understand these characters to the fullest. Sienna’s character is one with a great amount of drive and dedication to do what she can to save her mother. Her dedication to her family is impressive and her courage far surpasses that of the average young adult. You can see the internal growth in this story and I’m pleased to recommend it to YA sci-fi readers.

I have been reading several books written by Stephanie Hansen and each time, I always end up impressed because she can always come up with unique, sophisticated plot in every story. Omitted Pieces, the second and final book of the duology Transformed Nexus, is one of them. I enjoyed how we get to be carried off towards the future, and this time, the year 2164, and discover interesting possibilities when it comes to technology and what other things human could come up. I have seen the main character Sierra developed into a stronger, more relatable character. Her determination and will awed me and made me root for her all throughout the book. This duology closure concluded by unforgettable twist and events that amazed me. A very well-done series!

Omitted Pieces is an exhilarating conclusion to the Transformed Nexus duology that takes readers on a wild journey to the year 2164. In this futuristic world, the World Government has established communication with Planet Scepter, a place without any rules, which makes it the perfect spot for Cromwell to hold Sierra's mother hostage. To save her, Sierra will have to navigate the dangerous and unfamiliar world of Planet Scepter, making new friends along the way. Meanwhile, on Vortex, Al has shut down the old facility and tries to make it to Scepter, while others who made it to Earth are also in danger. This book expertly explores new territory and old, weaving together danger, compassion, and suspense to create a thrilling conclusion to the series.

Amazing

“Omitted pieces” by Stephanie Hansen is a science fiction novel for young adults. It takes place in the future, in the year 2164, and the planet earth is no longer isolated from the other planets. The world government is now in contact with planet sceptre. The main character in this case is called Sierra who wakes up in a new body and is on a mission to save her mother. I totally admire her character for the strength and the willingness to go through with whatever she has set her mind to.
If you like science fiction, I can only recommend reading this book. It will definitely not disappoint you and the pages will flow by.

“Omitted Pieces” is a great and nice second installment that fulfilled all my expectations. I really liked the first book and I didn’t hesitate to purchase this one. I wasn’t wrong; the Transformed Nexus series is fascinating!
I loved the complex spider web that the author created making it very difficult to trust any information we were given. This is clearly one of the main reasons that the book is impossible to put down!
The plot is a bit complicated to follow; as the story is developed in the future I found it a little hard to keep up with the action but this didn't stop me because the book is highly addictive.

Omitted Pieces by Stephanie Hansen is an intense sci-fi adventure with action packed theme. Continued from the previous book, we see Vienna is on a mission to save her mother from the malicious Cornwell. The trio Vienna, Sierra and AI have one common goal and to achieve it they must jump through hoops of many dangers and deep trouble. The author has done a commendable job on the series. The storyline, development of the characters and the fascinating setting of sci-fi engagement kept me glued to the end. The action, adventure and the coming together of the twist and turns grow into a fantastic end. This is a must read for every sci-fi lover to enjoy a dynamic experience.

This is one of those books that starts right on the action, a Sci-Fi novel that kept me hooked until the end!

Omitted Pieces is the second book of the series, written by Stephanie Hansen. In this delivery, I notice different resources the author uses that made the plot even more interesting than in book #1, because the story develops in an unexpected and critical way.

The novel continues the story of Vienna, who is determined to save her family from the hands of Cromwell, while her own clon Sierra is setting up alliances to help her fulfill her mission.

I recommend this reading for lovers of the Sci-Fi gender since takes futurism to the next level.

This book is destined for readers who enjoy a good futuristic Sci-Fi novel, as it checks every box in that category. In the 22nd century, space travel and world domination are just another day in the office.

Taking down Cromwell is not an easy task, so Sierra (Vienna's clone) will have to get help from new friends in order to save her family and maintain planetary peace.

In this second and final delivery, Stephanie Hansen puts together all the pieces of the puzzle, making this novel mind-blowing and keeping the reader interested until the end.

Definitely recommended for people looking for a reading that transports them to a new reality, a relaxed but, at the same time, intense story

Final book

It's 2164 and Sierra is now attempting to rescue her father from Cromwell. AL is still on earth and working to complete his mission. Establishing contact with planet specter was finally achieved and now earth must decide how it will initiate their control over this new planet. This is the exciting conclusion to the duology. I read the first book and really wanted to see the ending. The author did a fine job in finishing out most of the plotlines and continued to make her characters evolve and adapt to the new situations. This was a great conclusion and had a satisfying ending. I would pick up other books by this author as I enjoyed her writing style.

Very original twists make this a hard read to predict and one to keep the reader on the edge of their seat until the very last page.

Sierra is no longer herself, but she's not complaining since she should be dead. Dealing with a new body isn't her top problem as she's already on a new mission to save her mother...and that on a planet she knows basically nothing about. But she's not the only one facing the impossible. Al might have shut down the facility, but that's only the first step in the battle. Both as well as their friends have a long and very dangerous path ahead of them if they want to save life as they know it.

This book does take off where the first one ended - so it's not a stand-alone. The beginning already holds a very unique take on Sierra, and she finds herself in the middle of a new problem with very new circumstances. To say that there is always something happening in these pages is an understatement. The plot is well-woven and allows the intrigue and secrets to take the reader down unexpected paths. Action and tension abound, and not only for Sierra as this one is told from multiple points of view.

And there's heart. Sierra and isn't only determined to, now, save her mother, but she needs to find her friends. A building romance adds warm moments, and humor also marks dialogue and interactions at just the right time. Add original characters with unique personalities, and it's a read to enjoy. I received a complimentary copy and enjoyed the fast-paced, exciting tale.
