Meet your new favorite book boyfriend: BO CALLAWAY! 🏈🔥
The Walker University Stallions are back, and their star quarterback, Bo, is THE definition of a cinnamon roll hero with a filthy mouth. I absolutely devoured his story with Chelsea! Bo is the hero who falls first and HARD. His words and actions are pure, golden and utterly swoonworthy. The patience and respect he shows Chelsea provides an emotional depth we don't see in enough MMCs.
Is it getting hot in here or is it just this book?🌶️🌶️🌶️ The chemistry between Bo and Chelsea is nothing short of sizzling hot. That spice is spicy! The library scene.... I mean have mercy! Beyond the heat though, I loved watching Chelsea find her sassy confidence and growth. This couple’s maturity had me rooting for them from the start, much deserving of their HEA.
With every book, this series just keeps getting better and better. While yes, you can read this as a standalone (it's the 4th book), I'd HIGHLY recommend starting from the beginning. Each one of these stories packs so much heart, swoon, and spice! Ava Sutton knows how to write the best book boyfriends!

The understated prodigy who has endured suffering and still manages to walk with dignity, Chelsea Sullivan, is the match for golden-boy quarterback Bo Callaway, under each approach and every silent thought, what gets started as tutoring sessions progresses into something extremely electrifying, the Author Ava Sutton develops tension in a slow, controlled, yet utterly absorbing process, you immerse yourself in this book, heart first and every neuron of your brain next!

The alignment of flavour and heat, tenderness and fire, is what makes Silent Count so extraordinary!!! Bo is an uncommon hero who is calm, courteous, and yet totally ruined by the woman in front of him, he has the spirit of "he falls first and hard MMC" and it is heart-wrenching and magnificent to see him fall in love with Chelsea, although the spice is uncompromisingly delicious spicy, it never interferes with the emotional heart plot, piece by piece Ava Sutton delivers such an intelligent and heartshattering story that I devoured in one sitting, it really was an unputodownable spicy read that gets you right into the edges of your seat, and like a magnet won't let you put the book down for not even one second!

Chelsea's path reaches a different emotion, Ava Sutton gives her the kind of development that seems victorious and genuine, considering the fact that she has been silenced by pain and shaped by survival, her power is vibrant but invincible, and her growth is really inspiring, reading her unveil herself evokes an impression of suspense, will she allow herself to believe in painless love? And it's heartbreakingly gorgeous when she does!!! I cried and sobbed multiple times, every tender sentence and line she and Bo exchange is filled with healing and made my eyes watery every time, this book was packed with really strong emotions that only Ava could shatter your whole heart from these powerful lines!

Basically, I’m a sucker for a safe, insta-love, non-manwhore, if he wanted to, he would, probably a little unhinged, take charge, alpha male. I like my FMCs to be strong, stand up for themselves, not be a pushover, but not annoyingly independent/rejecting of help. Nothing annoys me more than a FMC that inserts herself into something a literal “professional” does, thinking she can do better.
I read for joy, vibes, and emotional safety. If you’re here for chaos and pain… we might not be reading the same book 😌📚 I also tend not to rework the summary into reviews because chances are you’ve already read it to get to the book review part of the show.
First, I've not read this entire series. I did read Silas' book first, so it was cute to see Silas' interest in Brooke budding at this point since this book takes place before (along side?) his.
I loved Bo. He was absolutely precious and sweet. I low-key loved that they didn't just hook up immediatly, but old school made out. More of that! So often they jump into sex so soon. It was kind of refreshing. He has a lot of pressure with school, grades, being the QB, his family etc.
Chelsea does not come from a charmed life, like Bo, so she is super guarded and doesn't give him her full story right away. Basically he finds out from his dad, who is sort of manipulating the information, and is rightfully hurt. He's been all in with her and she clearly has not.
Overall, I enjoyed their story, their growth and closeness. I appreciated them talking through emotions rather than being annoying.
Totally worth the read, it was an easy one.

I always love going back to Walker University! Bo has always intrigued me so I was so excited about his story and JUST WOW he and Chelsea are everything, I love them so much!
Chelsea ia a total bad ass, okay!? Pre law, smart as a whip, funny, kind, a great sister and friend but she's guarded and honestly rightfully so. Life was not kind to her in the moments it needed to be the most, with the kind of parents she had who wouldn't build up walls.
Bo is such a dream boat in my eyes, and a common theme with Ava's guys is they're all gentlemen and you can tell they were raised right and Bo is no exception. He's so thoughtful and honest and an amazing team leader and completely swoon worthy!
These two together had me giggling and kicking my feet! Their chemistry is insane, the banter flows so easily and it's almost like they've always been together. Bo is exactly the type of man Chelsea deserves because she didn't have to break down any walls for him, she simply created a space where only Bo could walk through and literally ONLY Bo. Watching them evolve and grow in love was actually so precious. But also in the bedroom or the bathroom or the library or....well the spice is SPICY!!
I can't wait until I'm back at Walker U!

Chelsea had an incredibly traumatic childhood (check TW before reading) and trust easily and isn't really looking for a relationship/love, but the pull between her and Bo is just too strong to resist. The chemistry between Bo and Chelsea is absolutely sizzling, like melt your kindle, library spice (ifkyk), but the patience and respect that Bo showed Chelsea was so beautiful. This was definitely a case of 'he falls first and hard' and Bo's words and actions definitely back that up. I loved Chelsea's growth throughout the book and her sassy-ness and confidence was so amazing. Silent Count is the fourth book in the Walker University Stallions series and can be read as a standalone. It is an opposites attract, found family, college football romance. One that has some pretty heavy topics discussed inside, so please consider that before jumping right into Bo and Chelsea's story.
This is my first read of Ava Sutton's and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed her writing style. I was instantly drawn into Bo and Chelsea's story, to the point that I finished their story in less than 24 hours. Chelsea had an extremely traumatic childhood and as a result struggles with her ability to trust when it comes to relationships. That is until she begins to tutor a certain cinnamon roll quaterback. Bo is geniune, kind and patient just the person who Chelsea needs in her life to help her realize she is not defined by her past.
If you are in the mood for a story that takes the FMC on a healing journey, Silent Count is definitely the one to read. I found Chelsea to be incredibly courageous and I enjoyed reading her character growth from the beginning of the story to the end. In my opinion, it has a cohesive coherent storyline, that has me looking forward to continuing the series.

The problem for me? Insta-love. Period.
I jumped into this book without knowing there would be insta-love vibes between the main characters and y'all knew how much I hated that trope. There was no friendship establishment for the couple as they had been kinda friends already before getting more alone time together due to the tutor thingy. I gotta say the prologue totally got me hooked as I wanted to find out how that tragic event affected our female main character later in life or what happened when her "boyfriend" found out, but with the slow pace of the story filled with lots of redundant descriptions, I simply lost interest. I didn't think I made it to the grand revelation of that moment I'd been waiting for and the rest of the book was just...blurry for me.
I wish I could enjoy this one more because it got great potential from what I read and from all those raving reviews on Goodreads, but sadly, at the end of the day, this book just missed the mark for me.

This is my first book by Ava and I can’t wait to read more by her now!
Bo Callaway is literal dream boat and Chelsea Sullivan is such a strong and beautiful FMC. The two of them are in the same friend group, but when Chelsea becomes Bo’s tutor they realize that they have a mutual attraction and even though they shouldn’t they starting seeing one another.
This book is a perfect representation of young love and finding your soul mate in college, building a future and working toward those plans together. Bo is so damn sweet and considerate and when he knows Chelsea’s past is a sore subject for her, he gives her the time she needs to open up to him.
Ava’s writing sucks you right in and I really enjoyed her style.

This was swoon central for me. I was kicking my feet giggling. Bo freaking Calloway gave me a permanent smile the entire time I was reading this book! I absolutely adored Chelsea!
I love this world Ava has created over at Walker University. She knows how to write a sweet & spicy man and Bo Calloway is the swooniest of all. I fell in love with him and was kicking my feet the entire time I was reading. Chelsea Sullivan is a sassy strong willed FMC that has trauma from her childhood (check your triggers). Their chemistry is off the charts and with the forced proximity of her being his tutor and moving in temporarily, Bo shoots his shot. He definitely falls first and hard and we love to see it!!!
The friend group in this series is top tier and one of my favorite things. If you haven’t started this series, this is your sign to take that leap.

This is the fourth book in this impressive series, and this is Bo and Chelsea’s story.
Bo is the golden boy, and star quarterback, who is focused on an NFL draft, while Chelsea is quiet, resilient, and funny. Bo is struggling with psych class, and Chelsea is assigned to become his tutor.
This is a well written, slow burn, easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, trauma, tension, forbidden relationship, opposites attract, forced proximity, trust, challenges, secrets, revelation, humour, witty banter, healing, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is a well written, slow burn, easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, trauma, tension, forbidden relationship, opposites attract, forced proximity, trust, challenges, secrets, revelation, humour, witty banter, healing, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Who doesn’t love a football romance. This was so good. It had one of my favorite tropes which is forbidden romance. I couldn’t put this book down.

This book goes from 1 tutor session to Bo asking her out, and openly flirting with her. I enjoyed how easily these two just fit together, and once they started it never stopped. Well, until the 3rd act when Bo's father tells him about Chelsea's past and telling him to not date her, again for like the 4th time. This hurt Chelsea when she found out right after meeting Bo's family for the first time, and caused her to run even though Bo stood up to his dad over her.

To be honest I didn't think anything could beat Archie's book, Zone Protection, but Silas's book, Lockdown Corner, really surpassed Archie's and blew this whole series out the park. Really becoming my favorite book. Silas' story will really shock you on the kind of man he is. I need a date for the audiobook!!!
This series can all be read as standalones, but if you want the full experience, I recommend reading them all in order. Because every single character in this series is on or mentioned in every single book. Making this series a true found family.

I was super tempted by the cover of this book to read this one. So, of course that I signed up for an early copy and the author and Wordsmith Publicity were awesome enough to accept me for it. Thank you!
Bo was a football player who just had a bad period and failed a quizz. That's why he was forced by the circumstances to get a tutor to help him pass it. The coincidence made it for that person to be one girl who caught Bo's eye, but he didn't have the courage to make a move on her. This time, their close proximity let them know each other better and realized how much tension was between them. But our girl, Chelsea, had a traumatic past, one which made it hard for her to trust people and let them in her life more than she allowed then to. Can they make things work though?
Ok, so this book had so many different emotions incorporated, which I really liked. The beginning was heartbreaking and I felt so sorry for Chelsea and her little sister. They really didn't have the easiest childhood but they fought so hard to become their best in what they wanted to achieve. The connection to Bo was something which Chelsea was missing from her life and that might have been something that little something which could change her perception on her life and her own persona. Bo was such a sweetheart and also a super goofy guy. He was exactly what Chelsea needed and I loved how he fought for her even when things were tough. Of course, there were also some steamy scenes with these two which heated up the atmosphere and which had shown how strong their bound was and the level of confidence they had in each other.
This was such a nice read, loving that mix of angst, uncertainty, love, fun and good times. The past was hard and hurtful for Chelsea, but the present offered her so much more when she decided to give happiness a chance and surrounded herself with people who cared about her and understood and accepted her darkest secrets.

Since Chelsea entered the friend group a year ago she and Bo have been silently attracted to one another. But when Bo needs tutoring and is assigned to Chelsea, he can no long stay quiet about his feelings, just hoping she feels the same!
Chelsea had such a beautiful character arc and I loved her so much! Her growth, determination and strength were wonderful. She had so much hurt and trauma from her past to overcome-to let herself find happiness and Ava did a great job showcasing this.
Bo is top tier, he fell hard and fast and was beyond sweet, patient and supportive-but boy did he have a spicy side too. He may be reserved and fully focused on football and school, but when it came to Chelsea he never held back. Exactly what she needed!
Bo definitely leaves a big impression (in more ways than one).
The romance these two have is fantastic.This man is so gone, and it is the swooniest! I loved seeing Chelsea fall in love, you can’t help but root for her happiness. Their playful friendship, insane chemistry and deep connection is equal parts sweet and hot! I could not get enough of them. I flew through this book.
There is so much love between Bo and Chelsea and you can feel it with each chapter, but Chelsea still has her fears and although she opens up to Bo, she is still holding things back. My heart hurt for them both as navigated obstacles placed in their way.

✨ARC REVIEW✨ 4⭐️ This is definitely one of my favorite new sports romance series!! Bo is the star quarterback with dreams of going pro. His dreams are just within reach this year but his psych class may just stand in the way of him playing. Coach assigns him a tutor who just so happens to be the one girl he can’t get out of his mind…Chelsea Sullivan. Chelsea is paving her own path to law school. She wants to be a voice for those kids who aren’t as lucky as her to find family willing to take her in. Chelsea and Bo are in the same circle and end up in the same spot all the time. The lingering glances turn into outright stares and the hidden feelings aren’t so hidden anymore. Chelsea is hesitant to reveal her past to anyone. Meanwhile Bo is determined to get past her walls. Can they jump this hurdle or will too many things keep them from making it work?

This series is full of green flag guys and Bo is no exception. He is so good to Chelsea and I just love how honest and open he is about wanting her. They are so fun together! Chelsea’s childhood is holding her back but the way that Bo is slow and willing to go at her pace of opening up is just so heartwarming. Also the way he sticks up for her to his family…UGH I LOVE HIM. Chelsea’s aunt is so much fun and I adore the relationship they all have especially after everything her and her sister went through. I love all the characters from prior books and the found family vibes are just immaculate! You definitely need to add this series to your tbr!!

Ava seriously NEVER disappoints!! She writes the BEST book boyfriends that are as sweet as they are spicy! Bo Callaway has my whole heart!
Bo is the starting quarterback for the Stallions and has a little bitty crush on Chelsea! He ends up needing a tutor for a class to stay eligible to play football, and to his surprise he is paired up with Chelsea. Chelsea does not trust easily due to her childhood trauma but Bo was too charming to resist...
Bo and Chelsea were so perfect for each other! They balanced each other out so well and I loved how supportive they were of each other's dreams. They had such a cute and sweet connection and their flirty banter was adorable! Chelsea's story completely broke my heart! She was such a strong FMC and her character growth was so incredible. Bo knew she was holding back but I appreciated how patient he was for her to open up to him at her own pace. He was so gone for her and I loved how considerate he was of her feelings at all times! He was seriously the best!! I also love how Ava writes the football side of her stories. She makes you feel like you are attending this games in real time and I love that! If you love college sports romance with swoon worthy MMC's I highly recommend you give this series a try! So so worth it!

I felt so many emotions with this book. I bawled at the end. It hit me way too close to home. This might not be emotional everyone but it was for me.
I am like Chelsea’s aunt Laura. I am raising my nephew because his parents were unable to raise him.
Chelsea has lived a rough past. One that she wants to leave there and not ever talk about. Her past has lead her to want to be a lawyer and advocate for children coming from a similar background as herself. School and her future has been her main focus.
Bo needs a tutor and Chelsea is who gets assigned to him. While their words have already been blended together, they are put together even more now.
I loved their conversations, their maturity, and how Bo showed her what a relationship can truly be. Which was exactly what she needed.

3.5 ⭐️ (possible spoilers ahead)
The very first chapter was heavy. It was a flashback of h when she was a child. 😭 My heart broke for her. In spite of what she’s been through, she’s a very strong character.
H is a total green flag. I wasn’t a fan of his dad, tho.
The smex scenes had spice. I’d consider them more on the mild side but I tend to read a lot of dark romances.
Why I did not rate this higher:
If I had one critique for the author; it’s the minuscule details that are so repetitive. For an example (this is NOT from the book, just gives you an idea)
“I went to the coffee pot to fix coffee. The coffee was so hot so I waited a minute to drink it. I enjoyed my coffee, then I rinsed my coffee cup out. I put the coffee cup into the dishwasher. I walked out of the room to go brush my teeth”
Another example: at one point the H went to set stuff down in his room. There was like 5 paragraphs in details on his every step and movement. NONE OF IT WAS IMPORTANT!
There are soooooo many paragraphs like that in this book. There are paragraphs about preparing/eating food. It’s one thing to say we cooked or had a light snack. It’s another when you spend 4 paragraphs on snack foods. There were times that it felt just useless filler. When it starts to do that, all I can picture is some monotone robotic voice in my head reading from a play script.

I have been waiting for Bo Calloway’s story since book 1, and Ava delivered exactly what I wanted. She left me perfectly satisfied. I smiled the whole time while reading this.
Bo and Chelsea are apart of the same friend group. They have secretly been attracted to each other. Chelsea ends up becoming Bo’s tutor. Bo saw this as his opening to get to know Chelsea without any interruptions. They immediately match up perfectly, even though they come from two totally different worlds.
Silent Count is the epitome of young love. Ava wrote the building of this relationship perfectly. I loved everything about it. From the late-night get-to-know-you chats to bringing her coffee order, we’re all so sweet. It just reminds you of the time you found young love. Bo knew Chelsea’s past was a sore subject, and he just sat back and gave her the space and time to open up. Bo exceeded my expectations and loved everything about their story.

Another great Football/College Romance from Ava. Bo was such a charming and grounded character. He was sweet without being boring. He was focused without being cold. He had a good head on his shoulders so I am glad he was able to get his HEA. His father, on the other hand, was hard for me to like, but I understood why he acted the way he did, even though it was not right. Selfish more so.
I really appreciated was how Bo stood his ground for his relationship with Chelsea. He knew what he wanted and had and did not let his dad's comments, or her past, derail what he felt. He was genuine in all he did.
Chelsea's emotional development was another highlight for me. Watching her open up slowly and learn to trust and give herself to another. I think she finally got her closure she needed from the trauma she experienced helped as well.
My only small wish was that maybe there was a little more....rebuttal or conflict with Bo's dad after he finally decided to stay with Chelsea but I feel in the Epilogue we get some closure on that.

There’s no doubt in my mind I have become a fan girl that gushes over Ava Suttons sports romance books. Each read just sucks me in and I swear I’ve read Silent Count 5/6 times by now.
Bo and Chelsea are top tier characters. They feed off of each other and I think they feel the pull from the moment they met. When Bo needs tutoring to stay eligible to play football he’s just lucky the girl he’s been secretly crushing on is his tutor. He makes it his mission to no only get his grade up but to make Chelsea his… she has a haunted past that no one knows about. Can Bo “Columbus” Calloway convince her to let him all the way in??
Let me tell yall.. if anyone can do it- it’s Bo because he is setting the bar HIGGGHHHHHH!!!
I told Ava and I will shout it from the roof tops. This book hits on a hard subject most people are blind to.. minors who survive childhood trauma aren’t talked about enough. There are real emotions that you struggle with and this was one of the main reasons I loved the book so much. The topic was treated with care and understanding.
