Amazon 2009-05-04. Dover reprint of a very highly-regarded fundamental text of the field, a 1000-page, two-volume behemoth of Soviet physics. The central case study is radiative transport of a 20KT airburst -- I can't say much more about this than BAD F'N ASS. Hopefully I'll catch a good bit of aerodynamics during the read, a field I've never taken much look at (you're compressing air in both, after all).
A classic text on the theory of shock waves. This has the best explanation of the Mie-Gruneisen equation of state found anywhere. Shows its age in some places but still very relevant
Excellent book that covers shock waves and high temperature hydrodynamic phenomena, as advertised. The authors/editors do a good job of giving physical explanations as well as mathematical exposition.
