It was a nice read about a marriage of convenience turning into something special. There were a couple of villains to boo. I doubt the heroine got her scar from her illness, but the hero is kind enough to see beyond that anyway. Having the older sister marry before the younger puts a lot of pressure on the eldest.
Julianna is not as lovely as her younger sister, never has dances, until…she seeks isolation on a balcony but someone is already there in the shadows. She has one suitor who doesn’t love her; and Lord Horatio who thinks of her daily. But someone else is lurking In the shadows to do evil after she marries.
There is a worm in the apple hiding until the very end. Scars vs abuse that two really nice people overcome together. Many good characters need more to do.
