After a heartbreaking betrayal that shattered his faith in love, Syncere swore off relationships. He built his life around hard work and self-preservation, determined never to feel vulnerable again. But everything changes when he crosses paths with Isis, a beautiful and strong woman trapped in a toxic relationship. Her partner, a cruel and abusive man, treats her like an afterthought, seeing her only as someone to control and belittle.
As their worlds collide, Syncere is drawn to Isis, sensing her pain beneath the surface. His initial resistance to love slowly crumbles as he becomes her source of strength and support, offering her a way out of the darkness. But saving Isis from her broken relationship is just the beginning. Together, they must confront their pasts, face their fears, and redefine what it means to truly love and trust again.
Will Syncere and Isis overcome the ghosts of their pasts and find the love they’ve both been searching for? Or will their scars keep them from embracing the future they’ve both longed for?
Omg omg this second season is lit. My boys and ma dukes was having a hard time after loosing li bro. I'm glad Syn met Isis met each other and had love for his nephew Tyler. I'm glad he made the right choice and brought the baby home to the family cause that is his blood. My babies became a team and git their family. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
I am still saddened by the way Josiah tortured and killed Samir ! ! ! Dream was trifling in the role she played in Samir’s demise ! ! ! I can feel Syn, Saint and Faith emotions jumping off the pages with the loss of Samir ! ! ! I needed Isis to boss up on Brandon ! ! !
Syncere was still mourning Symir's death, as well as Saint. Getting to know Isis and taking up time with Tyler helped him in so many ways. Saint had Mel to help him get through his struggles. The both of them were their mom's crutch. Although Syn was struggling, work still called. Brandon had to go! The family found peace and happiness. Great read.
I am enjoying this series. I do wish it tied the people together a bit more. Other than that, Synnnnnn... spoiler alert... Wiping out an entire bloodline... well, except... what about the ones who may grow to figure things out 🤔. Action, love and Gotti!! Looking forward to see what their changes are going to be.
This story felt so true to the heart and just an emotional extension of Season 1! I loved it, teared up a little because I could feel their pain. But more importantly, the love they shared as a family! You killed this Ree!
I loved this book. I’m happy Syn got his happily ever after and I’m glad he decided to adopt Tyler because that baby was innocent and he needed the love of a family his blood family. They have a guardian angel in Samir.
These books are getting better every day. I am happy that Gotti is finally revealing himself to certain individuals. I still can't believe he is a baker also. I am so happy that Isis and Syncere adopted Tyler. He deserves to be with his family.
It started out slow but then you lit the flames how Brandon mama come to isis job talking about paying for his funeral I fell over lol the nerve I’m glad syn let himself love again
Finally Syn let go of his past. Isis should of been got rid of that loser Brandon. I'm happy Syn adopted Tyler and introduced him to the family. What is about to change in the Gotti house?
I am so glad Syncere was able to get a second chance at love. He deserved it, and Isis was the perfect mate for him. It was also beautiful to see the family healing and things like that.
I like the story and I'm happy Syncere got his HEA but I'm still mad that you killed Samir!!! I need you to find a way to bring him back to life for real!!!
