Devil's Boneyard MC #13

Azrael (Devil's Boneyard MC 13): A Dixie Reapers Bad Boys Romance

Sometimes, to find yourself, you have to get lost in the shadows. Are you ready to embrace the darkness?

My mother vanished without a trace, and no one seems willing to help. Except for one enigmatic figure whispered about in hushed the Angel of Death, Azrael, a guardian of justice who ensures bad men meet their fate. I set out to find him. I didn't count on finding him to be the sexiest man I'd ever met, or falling for him. In his arms, I find an unexpected sanctuary. I should be terrified of his violent world, but he offers me safety and ignites a passion I've never felt before.

I live in the shadows, doing whatever I must to protect those who have lost all hope. It's no place for a woman. Then I met Zara. Her fierce spirit and unwavering courage break down my walls. I'll stop at nothing to bring her mother home, even if it means I leave a trail of bodies in my wake. For Zara, I'd do anything, even walk through hell itself. I never wanted to fall in love... but now that I have, I'll do anything to keep my new family safe. I'm the monster who hunts other monsters, the one who defends those who can't protect themselves. Now I need to make sure that darkness doesn't touch those I love, or die trying.

Lose yourself in a world where love conquers fear, and courage fights against the darkness.

Be advised, Azrael is intended for readers 18+ due to adult situations, violence, and bad language. There’s no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a guaranteed HEA.

Azrael is a gripping, emotionally charged romance set against a backdrop of shadowy justice and high-stakes danger as the Devils Boneyard MC do what they do best! At its heart, it’s a story of two souls finding strength—and unexpected love—in each other’s arms.

Zara’s quest to uncover the truth behind her mother’s mysterious disappearance leads her deep into a world few dare to enter. She’s heard whispers of Azrael—the legendary Angel of Death. He’s a dark, cryptic figure who delivers retribution where the system fails. But what begins as a desperate search for answers turns into something far more intense when Zara finds herself drawn to the man behind the myth.

Azrael, who serves his own brand of justice, is a protector, a punisher, and now—for the first time—a man in love. His connection with Zara is electric, and their chemistry practically scorches the page. As the story unfolds, we see not only thrilling action but also two people learning to trust, heal, and fight for something real.

The pacing is sharp, the stakes feel authentic, and the emotional depth is well-balanced with gritty action. Harley Wylde highlights cultural specifics with care and detail that makes the story unique. The writing is immersive, pulling you into a world where morality isn’t black and white—but love is the light that cuts through the dark.
Azrael is a one sitting read….you won’t want to put it down!

Azrael is the 13th installment in the Devils Boneyard MC series, and once again, Harley Wylde delivers a beautifully crafted story. Her world-building is chef’s kiss — immersive, gritty, and addictive.

We meet Zara when Azrael helps her out of a tough situation. She’s been searching for the Angel of Death — aka Azrael — because her mother has gone missing and no one else seems to care. Zara is a compelling mix of sweet and strong. She’s kind-hearted and grounded, but don’t mistake that for weakness — when something feels off about her mother’s disappearance, she refuses to let it go, no matter how many doors are slammed in her face. That determination puts her in the path of the Devils Boneyard MC, and from the moment she and Azrael meet, there’s an undeniable connection.

Azrael is direct and honest, something Zara truly values. While he has a dark past, he’s a man of principle, and his values really shine through as their slow-burn romance unfolds. But their connection isn't simple — the only way the club can fully protect her is if she becomes Azrael’s old lady, and Zara isn't keen on being labeled anyone’s property. She wants protection, not possession — and that struggle adds another rich layer to their dynamic.

This book is an awesome mix of action (and I mean lots of action), smoldering chemistry, and heartfelt moments. I didn’t want it to end!

Zara is looking for the Angel of Death and happens upon him by accident. She needs his help to find her mother. Azrael aka Samir is the Devil’s Boneyard shadow. He makes things right when women and children are involved. Hearing her story, he has to help but there are rules with all the MCs. Zara is safe and his old lady. This is going overseas. Tracking down her mother is going to be tough. I love that we are pulling out all the stops to get Mazida back. Stripes is calling in Anatoly for this one. We are going to Tel Aviv for this one. Our guys are not on home turf and this is going to get messy. Azrael did what he had to do to get Zara’s mother back. I have to say we see the dark side of him and boy is he a fighter. You know that this isn’t going to be clean and we are going to have another enemy from a far going to cause chaos for the Devil’s Boneyard. I ended up crying and cheering for them. I’m always afraid we will lose one of the brothers too soon. A happy ending well fought, even for Gator. I am glad that Charming realized that they needed to make more alliances with the other MCs. YEAH! That means we will see more cross overs. We still have an issue with Marco Delgado. That matter hasn’t been cleaned up yet. He is the President of the Minions.

I’m rereading the Devil’s Boneyard series and I had never read this one before. I’m impressed. Azrael is the epitome of mysterious, dark, and dangerous. In other words, sex on legs.
Zara’s mother was taken, so Zara goes to the man known as the Angel of Death for help. Of course, the MC won’t let her stay with Azrael unless he claims her, so… but it’s okay because Instalove.
Not all of this book is romance. In fact, much of the book is the story of Azrael and some other club members rescuing Zara’s mom in Tel Aviv, and the things Azrael must do for a crime lord in order to get the woman’s location. A change of pace, but I liked it.
I also liked the multicultural aspects of the novel. The heroine’s mother as well as the hero’s mother, originated in the Middle East and the cultures are respected and included in various aspects of the story.
Heat- explicit
Bechdel test- passed
Safety? Y
Triggers- violence including Unaliving, torture, kidnapping, and general mayhem.
Tropes- damsel in distress, multicultural, Instalove, family ties, hero origin story.

Azrael has quite a reputation, but it isn't until he meets Zara that he realizes that his reputation isn't limited to just the MC.

Zara comes looking for Azrael after her mother has been kidnapped. She knows he is the only one who can get her mom back. Zara tracks down where he lives and comes to his town, but has no idea how she will find or meet Azrael. This is when fate intercedes via a very dangerous event and it brings Zara and Azrael face to face.

However, the meeting between these two people sets off a chain of events that will have you turning pages to see where it all goes. Will things end with rescuing Zara's mom alive or will the entire situation fall apart. Will Azrael have to go it alone or will his MC brothers have his back?

I enjoyed reading this book, the story of Zara, Azrael, the MC, and how one fateful incident can trigger violent, out-of-control, chaos.

Azrael and Zara were a wonderful mix of strength and soft, powerful and peaceful. Zara strikes out on her own to find her mother when the authorities don't seem to be interested. She knows her mom wouldn't just up and disappear. So she searches out the fabled Angel of Death who champions women and children in danger. Azrael, she quickly discovers, is more than she hoped for. Their connection was instant. Her spine of steel and her bravery are what captured his attention. He wasn't expecting to ever bring another innocent woman into his life. But Zara is too mesmerizing for him to let go. Gritty and dark with flashes of light, their story unfolds with heat and heart. So good!

I'm not sure where to start with Azrael and Zara's story. It's a very emotionally charged story and it seems as if I could feel it all so personally. Azrael has led a dark life and Zara is the light he never thought he’d find. She fulfills him in a way he didn't think possible but she does the same for her. These two are complete and utter perfection for each other. It was also great to visit with the older Boneyard characters. Makes me want to do a re-read now. Azrael is a great addition to the Devil's Boneyard family and definitely a must read!

Azrael and Zara story is about love, loss and the life changing power of second chances. It is filled with nonstop action along with twists and turns that kept my heart in an uproar. Zara goes looking for the Angel of Death and gets a whole lot more in the bargain. He has been a loner until he comes across Zara, who opens his heart and changes him in ways he never saw coming. This captivating story has dynamic characters that will have you fastening your seatbelts for one unforgettable ride.
I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

Loved it - like I knew I would. Action packed as usual and plenty of bad/good boys to keep me happy.
Harley Wylde just knows how to make me cry, laugh, sigh and have me waiting impatiently for each installment of her MC Series - no matter which one it is. Most I read in one sitting (according to how my mind is at the time of reading) as I did with this one. Didn't want it to end - now waiting impatiently for the next chapter of whichever MC is going to cross over to my E-Reader.

Thank you Ms Wylde for a very enjoyable evening. Now I'm going to have go reread all about the Devil's Boneyard 😂

I loved Azrael and Zara's story. It was such an emotional story. Zara's mother disappeared and she has been told about the "Angel of Death" and goes searching for him. Azrael takes on the task and along the way Zara works her way through the darkness that surrounds him. They had such great chemistry and I liked watching their relationship develop.
I enjoyed the action, as I always do, but also loved the drama and the surprises that popped up throughout the story.

Azrael and Zara

An emotionally charged, heart pounding, adrenaline fueled nonstop roller coaster ride that left me breathless. Azrael and Zara had an unusual meeting that led them on an unexpected journey neither of them expected but their destination was well deserved. This book felt different from the other Devil’s Boneyard stories, I cannot express how much I enjoyed this story.

What a ride

This was different to the authors other books. To me it was much deeper and intense and I really liked it. Azrael is an enforcer for the MC and one day he meets someone who is going to change his life. What follows then is a really good action packed story that captures your attention as it navigates Azrael and Sara's romance.
No spoilers though from me, just read it

The one hit me right in the heart..,

This book and these characters hold a strength that doesn't require loud noises and big voices, they rumble within the walls of your chest and in the movement of shadows.
Azreal and Zara's journey and story is special, in a way that seems too big for words. I was drawn in right from the first pages.
I am a huge fan of all of Harley Wylde's books and each MC holds their own unique place in my heart.
Keep them coming please 💚🖤

Azrael & Zara. The story touches on some darker situations, and reminded me of earlier books in the series before other MC brothers found their old ladies/other halves. An action packed spicy love story with a HEA.

Azrael has become my favorite Harley hero! I absolutely love him. I love everything he stands for, he sees Zara and doesn’t try to sugarcoat or gloss over everything. He gives her information straight and lets her digest it on her own terms. Zara also recognizes the dark in Azrael and accepts it. She wants to be the soft space for him to land when he’s done doing what he was born to do. She also thought through her feelings and actions. She didn’t go off half cocked and let Azrael do what he does best. My only complaint is I wish we saw more interactions between Azrael and Zara. This book focused more on Azrael and getting Zara’s mom back but I would’ve liked to see more interactions between Zara and Azrael and watched their relationship develop a little more.
