Some curses sink. Others rise to the surface...After surviving one murder, I thought I’d earned a break. Instead, I ended up with a secretive mermaid in my bathtub, a haunted shipwreck whispering from the deep, and a ghost in my kitchen who has a tight spectral grip on my heart.
When a local diver washes up dead his flickering spirit begs me to help—but I can barely hear his warnings over the storm brewing inside me. Something ancient is stirring beneath Sleepy Hollow, and it’s not just calling to the cursed. It’s calling to me.
Now I’m caught between two men—one who makes me feel alive, and one who reminds me I’m haunted. The deeper I dig into this magical mystery, the closer I come to unraveling a centuries-old curse, a dangerous truth, and maybe even myself.
Murder, magic, and one very opinionated kitten—just another day for Ivy Hearst! From the award-winning author of Ghost Appeal and Baby Got Ghost, Ghost Interrupted is perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with a supernatural twist and a little heart beneath the haunt.
What does a mermaid, a shipwreck and a haunted cemetery have in common?...Ivy Hearst of course. Ivy is a medium who has recently moved to Sleepy Hollow where she is the caretaker of the local cemetery. Having read the prior books in this series I knew what to expect from this book and it did not disappoint! Ghost Interrupted is another amazing addition to Louisa West's Sleepy Hollow Mysteries. In it Ms. West takes the reader on a wild ride with her trademark non-stop action. Her detailed descriptions create a believable fantasy world that combines reality with fun magical elements at the same time as having a darker undertone. I loved Ghost Interrupted. I really hope we don't have to wait too long for the next book in the series.
Ivy talks to ghosts which works for her job as Sleepy Hollow's cemetery caretaker. In this second book of the series, Ivy is torn between two men. Carter- gorgeous, smiling, great dog and best of all, alive. The other is Jude - gorgeous, brooding former caretaker, and you know, dead. She rescues a woman and she's different and unusual. And now another dead man. It's just a typical day for Ivy, straddling the world's of the living and the dead. I enjoy all of Louisa's books and Ivy is a great character.
Ivy is once again facing mystery with an evil entity attached. The Blom family are in danger and Ivy and her friends are the only ones with the power and the knowledge to deal with it. This is a great read with adventure and great characters.
A strange town with something evil beneath. A young woman who is a witch and can see and speak to ghosts. This is her story about herself and the depths of the town.
I liked the first one in the series, but this one needed a good proofread. Switching from first person to third person, using the wrong words, etc...enough that it distracted from the story.
