With the Lockwoods circling Calamity City, I can feel the walls closing in on me. Havoc, Vortex, and Caleb all want me to learn to defend myself--but how can I, when I've always been weak, always been fragile?
This relationship we're building won't last. I know it can't. But it could. I want to be their pet, their beautiful boy, their masochist.
I'm going to have to learn to fight.
I have to be strong.
Because the only one who can save me from being the person my family wants?
Is myself.
And I'm the only one who can fight for Caleb, Vortex, and Havoc's love.
I write almost exclusive m/m, but I have a fondness for bisexual protagonists. I enjoy a lot of darker themes, so you'll see a lot of that around here.
When I’m not writing, I’m reading, painting, playing video games, and rescuing cats. I also enjoy learning about languages and other cultures.

Seven finally got the finale (all the men) he deserved 🥰 This was such a great read, the whole trilogy had me in a chokehold!
Following Seven on his journey was tough, I worried so much over him and was rooting for him from page one! I'm so glad he could finally open up to Caleb, Vortex and Havoc.
They all had their moments where the chemistry between them went through the roof and I was 🥵
The whole story had a great character development for all MCs!
But no matter how swoony I can be over a HEA, this was a dark romance, it had high angst (imo) and I would want to stress (as always) to read your trigger warnings!
The authors put a lot of work and thought into these as well, which I'll always appreciate 👍
I love this series. This is the third and final book of this series and I devoured it in a few hours 🙈
There are a lot of heavy topics happening in this book/series and it is not an easy read. Seven is the strongest character I have ever read about. It amazes me how he keeps going, keeps fighting through all of the things he endured. My heart was pounding so hard at some parts of this story, it was no joke 😅
And there were certain characters who I really wished the worst of the worst which rarely happens for me 😳
I might have a tiny crush on Caleb, Vortex and Havoc (yep, all three 🫣) so I totally get Seven. Their relationship really is unique and raw. I loved how they are so patient with Seven and teached him how to communicate.
Loved devouring this book but I’m so sad it's finished now 🤧
3.5⭐️ it was nice. I was honestly here for the angst more than anything. Seven went through so much but he got his hea. I'm just mad about the lost chemistry between Vortex and Havoc. like whyyyyyy. it could be so epic! but alas.
4⭐️ This series was a whirlwind! I have a lot of final thoughts about it after reading book 3, so I’m tagging for spoilers because I want to talk about what happens 😂
First of all, I really enjoyed this series overall. It kind of felt like watching episodes of a TV show rather than reading cohesive books, if that makes sense. The way it goes between scenes is very TV drama like. It was kind of cool!
I also really enjoyed the separate stories of the 4 MCs, and how they intertwined to make the overarching plot. I actually wish we got deeper into Caleb’s character, but was satisfied overall. I really loved the carrying themes of “the house always wins” and “always negotiate from a place of power” in his lessons.
For Seven, I was satisfied with the ending he got, though it did feel like his progress was slow over the first few books, then improved in a rush at the end. He was such a deeply hurt character, and how he evolved into being able to be happy was so nice.
As for Havoc and Vortex, I loved seeing their relationship / friendship develop, and I was also lowkey screaming at them to get together, even just a little. This book stays true to its MMM/m theme. I also loved that their relationships with their families were resolved well. I ended up liking the female characters, and was glad that they got their own resolutions too.
Overall, these three dudes somehow help Seven heal, even though they use very.. unconventional ways. This book (and whole series) has a strange balance between absolutely terrible, heavy topics, and also super spicy scenes. Somehow, it ended up working for me. Though I can absolutely sit here and critique certain details, I don’t really want to. These books were addictive!

The final installment of this trilogy, what an epic story!
Seven tries to tell Caleb what happened to him. It’s tough! I as a reader was shocked by what Seven has been through. It was inhumane! We get closer to all men, they open up more and more. All four have their personal issues. Seven is so indoctrinated by his mother, her voice is constant in his head, he has a lot to overcome.
The chemistry between Seven and his men was off the charts, it was at times painful, but holy moly scorching! The evil characters get what they deserve, thank goodness!. The healing process of Seven was amazingly done, bow to the authors.
This story is bursting at the seams with all the events, I’m not going to spoil, you’ll have to read yourself!! Applause for this trilogy it had everything I wanted and even more!!
This is the third and final book in the Calamity Series following Seven and his men. This book gives Seven, Caleb, Vortex & Havoc the ending they all deserve. Again, like the first two books, there are darker themes involved- human trafficking, abuse and consent being the major ones but these are handled really well. Seven’s story is not a conventional one- he falls for three men and they all fall for him. However it is perfect for him! He needs the sadism that Caleb, his Master, gives him. He needs the roughness that Havoc gives him and he needs the softness that Daddy Vortex gives him. They are a perfect balance and the story is perfect for them!!!
4.5 rounded up for this one This was a good final book in the series. Happy endings for the guys (as well as their loved ones). I’ve enjoyed watching them all grow in their relationships with Seven and each other. In fact, I was a little hopeful that another relationship between them was gonna grow in a different way…but then nothing. What’s up with that???
The final story for these four is everything I wanted. The size stories resolved to fitting and realistic conclusions. Also, I have big feelings for some of those side characters.
The biggest stand out to me and the one with the most character growth was Seven. He literally went through hell and back to get where he ends up. I love him to pieces. While there's some very hard scenes, they show that healing is more powerful than anyone's past.
Also, the spicy scenes. Especially that last one. Chef's kiss.
Absolutely devastated to be leaving these four behind but I couldn’t be happier to see Seven get his happy ending.
The progression of this book and the trilogy as a whole was so perfect and logical. I never found myself bored and I especially never found myself feeling like Seven’s growth through his trauma was overlooked and unrealistic. Seeing his strength develop over time and come out in this third book was so inspiring. The pride I feel right now for a fictional character is unreal.
Besides Seven’s growth I loved getting to see Caleb, Havoc, and Vortex grow as well. They were obviously main characters and a huge part of the story but while it centers around Seven, I’m so glad the authors gave so much depth and plot line to the others. I loved reading about their own families and the ways they became better men as a result of and for Seven and their loved ones.
In the end, this book and this trilogy was powerful and written beautifully. All the topics were handled with so much care and the writing was just completely engaging. The only, and I mean absolute only, complaint I have is that after following these characters and their story for three books, I wish the final conflict came slightly earlier in this third book so that we could get a few extra chapters of Seven and his guys in the aftermath. I know their relationships have been building since book one but I just always love to read more in the “happily ever after”. Aside from that personal preference, this trilogy was 5⭐️ all around!
Gambler's ruin is the third and final book in the series and you can't read it as a standalone. I won't spoil anything in my review. This was a fantastic conclusion to this great series. I loved the ending for all the characters and I really appreciated that the storylines for Havoc's mother and Vortex's sister were also wrapped up. Very satisfying ending. The book had great action and brilliant pacing, I was hooked from the first until the last page. All the characters grew a lot as the series progressed and the chemistry between Seven and his men was excellent. I had the best time reading this series. It was very emotional and well written with some really intense action scenes. I'm going to miss Seven, Caleb, Havoc and Vortex.
When I think about how much this story stressed me out, I was delighted to finally witness Seven feel loved and safe. Because of his past, he'd never known love. It was heartwarming how he realized that his men did love him and that he loved them.
“I wonder what it feels like to be loved.”
I wish the ending had been extended, so I could see them all build a life together and see Seven thrive, though. He certainly deserves it after everything.
This book is absolutely a satisfying conclusion to Seven's story. I nea sable to even be won over on the fact the Seven's men can leave it at only friendship between them for now.
I do think Javi and Sebby will eventually develop their own thing. In the course of this series and the story that needed to be told of Seven finally finding safety, freedom, and love it makes sense that his men are his alone.
A new favorite series of mine. I loved this conclusion. While I think I would’ve loved it even more if the romance involved all four of the men together rather than three of them and Seven, I still loved the characters and the way they all worked together. I would read this series again. It’s a dark mafia romance done right with the worst kind of villains. Action packed and angsty and well written enough to keep me engaged the whole time.
Man, I adore seven. And Caleb. And vortex. And havoc. This was such an amazing story all around. Not at all what I usually read and I still can’t recall how I found the first book, let alone picked it up. But I’m so thankful I did! Sevens story was rough but so beautiful. And though there are three books to this, it’s such a fast read that I could have read all three in a weekend if I found them later on. 10/10, I can’t wait to read again!
It's been too long since I've read such an amazing, engaging trilogy- I'm near speechless 💜💜💜 I love how in depth and complex the characters are and the psychological side of things is SO good and also treated with respect. This was amazing and please do yourself a favor in reading this stunning trilogy! I still can't believe how good this was was!
I had ups and downs with this one. Whichever reason I had difficulties at start, it all changed in the last chapters. It was very hard to put it down and I just couldn't read fast enough. I loved everyone's story but I think Caleb end up being my favorite character. I think all of them were quite good though.
I love this book so much. I love Seven and his men. They're so sweet to him. The ending was satisfying but I still feel like the Lockwoods didn't get punished enough. Going through the healing with Seven makes you feel like you're healing too. I love how things were resolved with Connie, and Havoc's mom, and Caleb's uncle.
So great to see Seven’s happy ending. He deserves it so much! I loved to see his continued development in this book. He started to see his own value, his confidence grew and he finally believed he deserved to be happy and deserved his men! The trust finally solidified.
The story with his family comes to a head in dramatic fashion and was very satisfying. I love a cast of characters and really enjoyed more of Vortex’s sister and adored the side story with Havoc’s mom, so glad that went the way it did and the part Seven played.
Overall this was a great trilogy with a diverse cast of characters, good plot lines and great spice. I enjoyed.
Also, I won’t spoil it but there was a very quick small tease we got in this read that got me all excited only to go nowhere and it was mean! 😆 I was 100% on board! 😂
Really liked the whole nuanced discussion on consent and how complex it actually is. Like the other two books but even more so, this one could have used a last editing round. Still, very nice to have a book with complex characters.
I devoured this intense dark read. This is amazing dark read that I enjoyed reading and is full of spicy scenes. This is amazing series and I loved this book.
