Cinderella—call her Ella—has had it with scrubbing floors and dodging her stepmother’s whip. Locked in a chastity belt tighter than a miser’s purse, she’s not waiting for a fairy godmother to save her. When a tax collector with a taste for kink offers a way out, Ella trades her rags for a chance at something a prince who likes his girls bruised and begging. Drake’s no glass-slipper gent—he’s all whip and wicked grin, and Ella’s just right for his royal games.
But this Cinderella’s got a score to settle. With a wedding that’s more lash than lace, she turns the tables on her stepmother and those bratty sisters, serving up a revenge dish too steamy to resist. From dungeon to throne, Ella’s rewriting her tale—one scream, one thrust, one delicious payback at a time. Slip into this fairytale, but leave the slippers behind—it’s too wild to tame!
This retelling of Cinderella is anything but the demur Disney version you grew up with—so consider yourself deliciously warned. While the bones of the original story remain—Ella forced into servitude to her wicked stepmother and cruel stepsisters after her father's death—that’s where the similarities end. This Cinderella isn’t a demure little maid waiting for her Prince charming. Oh no, Ella is a woman with fire in her veins and vengeance on her mind. After enduring years of abuse, including being locked in a chastity belt to "preserve her purity," Ella’s world takes an unexpected turn when her stepmother offers her up to the local tax collector as payment for back taxes. What follows is a wickedly satisfying tale of erotic justice, laced with some light bondage, punishment, and power play. The story’s kinky undertones are as bold as they are intriguing—from Ella discovering pleasure in the sting of the whip once used to punish her, to the prince who just so happens to be looking for a woman with a taste for pain. The climax (no pun intended) builds into a decadent fusion of revenge and kinky rituals that feels like a medieval fever dream—complete with an orgiastic wedding that would make even the Brothers Grimm blush. And that final reckoning? Let’s just say watching the trio who’s been the bane of Ella’s life get exactly what they deserve—in the most literal, up your a$$ way—was beyond satisfying. If you're in the mood for a dark, erotic twist on a fairytale favorite, this unapologetically kinky Cinderella delivers with whip-smart flair and sinful delight. I was expecting this to be darker than it was. Don't get me wrong, this is plenty dark, but I was hoping for more of a Brothers Grimm version of dark than sexually dark.
Cinderella is forced to wear a chastity belt and is treated terribly by her stepmother and stepsisters. The tax collector comes along and takes her as collateral for owed back taxes. She is then taken to the prince, where they get married and get revenge on her abusers. That's a pretty basic summation of the plot, with BDSM thrown in there to replace chemistry.
The ending felt a bit anticlimactic for me because Ella's revenge is built up through the story and then just kind of fizzles at the end. I've only read one other book by this author, but it feels like she really shines when she gets to put her own spin on the classic fairytale. This story didn't have much of a unique twist on it, so I didn't feel as sucked into the story because there wasn't really anything new. It was a good read, but I wish it was a bit more twisted psychologically or was focused a bit more on getting her revenge.
Thank you to BookSirens and Ruthie Clark for the eARC.
Thank you to Book Sirens and the Author for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review of my experience.
This one.. is a fast one. Its short. Its spicy. A palate cleanser for me, of sorts.
Ella (our FMC), has been beaten, brutalised and kept in cruel chastity since her fathers death by her stepmother. Ella is offered an opportunity to escape her plight, by the tax collector. All she would have to do is pique the prince's interest. The prince, Drake, our MMC.
This story has no character development. No world building. In some ways it is a little too fast for its own good. But the premise is strong. I would have liked to have seen this book be fleshed out, because Ella has the potential to be a strong FMC and has the potential to be cunning in her revenge. As it stands, the book hints at a bunch of things and then doesn't actually explain them properly.
For what it is, a short, spicy, dark, erotic read. Its ok. A solid 3.5 stars. I still definitely think that this storyline deserved a longer book with character growth.

Hot, Fierce, and Deliciously Satisfying Cinderella’s Revenge is exactly what the title promises—spicy, bold, and dripping with that sweet, sweet revenge. It’s a steamy twist on a classic tale that doesn’t hold back, giving readers everything from scandalous encounters to well-deserved payback.
The spice level? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Five full flames. It’s hot without being gratuitous, and the steamy scenes are woven beautifully into a plot that’s just as entertaining. Watching the heroine reclaim her power and flip the script on those who wronged her was beyond satisfying. She’s no damsel—she’s dangerous, confident, and gloriously unapologetic.
Why 4 stars? Mostly because I would’ve loved a bit more emotional depth or character development—but honestly, for what it is, this book delivers. Fast-paced, fiery, and fun—a must-read for anyone who loves their fairytales with a sharp edge and a seductive twist.
I do love an erotic fairy tale, and this one gets it DONE. It's the perfect length for erotica: quick, tight, hot, intentional chapters that move the story forward exactly the way you want, without sacrificing excellent quality of writing. Ruthie Clark's story is the real thing. Like most fairy tales, you can't go in wanting a dose of reality. Cinderella is a superwoman-like heroine, wearing her erotic submission with pride and dirty-mouthed appreciation, so while you might not see yourself in her character (unless you are way cooler than me), you will admire her -- and feel deep satisfaction when revenge is served.

With the BDSM trigger warnings the author put on the story, I was reluctant at first to read it, because I am not into BDSM. I don't get it, and I don't like it. That being said, I actually loved this story. It was fantastic! I did not like the brutal treatment meted out to Cinderella, as I believe women are magical creatures to be loved and cherished, but the way Ruthie wrote the story was great. The story was just the right length, the characters were developed well enough for the purposes of the story, and the erotic imagery was totally hot (and some of it was funny too!). It could have been a bit more descriptive, so I have to mark it down a notch, but I still give it a 4.75/5 on my spice scale. Ruthie Clark knows how to write a hot erotic story, and I plan to read everything she's written.

Well now … Ella is a naughty, naughty girl. Lucky for her, she is exactly what Prince Drake is looking for, and Prince Drake is exactly what she needs! Ella gets her revenge, and what a twisted—although surprisingly rewarding for her prey—revenge it is.

Very enjoyable and entertaining read. An adult fairytale.
Drake and Ella. The story is really a Dom looking for his forever Sub. Unbeknowant to Ellas stepmother she was training Ella for the job. Back taxes gave Ella the oporrtunity. And what an appetite she had. The wedding is a public , well lets say tradition. First theres the wedding then revenge. Lashes, claiming and revenge oh my. The after party is..well..a specticel.
This is a tale if not a fairytale. One thats for the adult entertainment. With enthusiastic charecters. Read and enjoy.

For my book friends who like spicy. I just finished Cinderella's Revenge, and this book is hot, hot, hot. The BookTok community would call this smut. I could not put it down. I read it in one sitting. It was a short book, about 50 pages. I don't want to give any spoilers away, but if you like a dark retelling of fairy tales and combine that with 50 Shades of Grey, then by all means, check this one out. I am glad that Ella got her revenge! I received an advance review copy for free, and I'm leaving this review voluntarily.
You will either love this book or hate it. Because it was probably the most wild retelling of cinderella. Honestly it should have been a longer book. The 100 or so pages were definitely not enough.
Get ready for a kingdom that is very open minded, and BDSM friendly. Like seriously their royal wedding including some whipping and public claiming. Trust me i just sat there bewildered and like: do i enjoy this? Yes, yes i do.
Honestly i had way too much fun with this book. Even if i thought it was a bit rushed, but it was fun. Do check your TW first though.
What on earth did I just read!? 60 something pages of “LOLWTF” but that kind of made it fun? This is pure giggle fodder for my next bookclub with the girls. Also, I think I’m on a journey of reading books with shock factor and this one delivered. I think I cringed the whole time, yet…. Couldn’t stop reading? Honestly this one isn’t for the faint of heart. The writing style flips from beautifully descriptive to flippantly blunt. It’s weird and vulgar, yet not the worst thing I’ve ever read. Kudos to the author for letting her freak fly on this one.

This was an Arc I received. It is a very short read. Eight Chapters total I think. I would say it was just okay. With it being so short it's hard to get too involved in the characters or the story. But as for the smut factor it was good. Definitely different from what I expected with the last few scenes. I will give her other stories/books a read to see if I like those.
Heavy sexually driven Brothers Grimm-esk retelling. Read them trigger warnings because this is NOT for everyone and towards the end, some scenes NOT FOR EVERYONE.
Short, fast, dark-esk ‘romance’. The revenge that Ella was fighting for and clinging until just before the end, ended up fizzling out before punishment was dealt in the end. I was waiting for some big revenge plot/ revenge psychological war path, but it was dealt with on a silver platter by the queen and not her. Big Sad.
Some parts were just brilliant - others deeply dark
Make no mistake: the content warnings are not an exaggeration however the writing turns it into a true (very) dark fairytale retelling - definitely for adults only.
Personally, I enjoyed it and am going to look up some of the others in this series!
This isn't the fairytale grandma told you. Cinderella isn't singing sweetly scrubbing floors anymore. This delightfully, dark retelling of the classic tale exposes Ella's most base desires: pain and sex. She'll use them all to snag the Prince and get her revenge.
The Disney girls grew up. We still crave our fairytales, but we want our Prince to come a little differently. 😉
Short but so sweet. I really enjoyed this book and all the spicy scenes. A remake on a classic but not for the feint of heart. This book left me sitting on the edge of my seat panting!! When the damsel plays the game to win I'm here for it. Would highly recommend reading.
I enjoyed the story itself, but it felt quite rushed, definitely could have been a bit longer. Saying that, I really did enjoy the book. Plenty spice to it and doesn't hold back any.
I like the fact it's based on Cinderella, but definitely the naughty version.
Love this spicy quick read. Ella has been treated very badly after the death of her father and I just loved the way she got her revenge! Loved the twist of her step-mother's punishments actually leading to her finding a better life.
This was a short spicy book and it was pretty good for what it was. The plot was good and I liked the spice. There were some really random scenes that made zero sense and added nothing to the story tho
Plz check trigger warning!! If you like Cinderella retelling this is for you. This is a short dark story with some kink and revenge. Ella is locked up by her stepmother and also has a chastity belt. When it’s tax day her stepmother sells her. Derek is the princess looking for a wife.
No real complaints. Wasn’t amazing but I was entertained. They’re good in between books so I’ll probably read the rest of the series. The red riding hood one seems really interesting!
This story had no real plot. I was kind of confused until like 2/3 of the way through. It's just like a big swinger party at the end. The story moved way to quick, but in a very short story that is expected. Would I read more from this author... Probably not.
Never did I think I would need a BDSM Cinderella story but here we are. This definitely isn’t the Cinderella we knew as kids but the one we needed as adults!
