If it wasn't for Charlie's and Olivia's personality, I would have liked this a lot better. Charlie was extremely misogynistic. It wasn't because of what his ex did that upset. That wasn't on him. It was his reaction to Liv and the demands his father and her father made. She was the best for the job, yet he couldn't see past the fact that she was a woman. She was smart, driven, and best for the job. I loved Liv at first. She was everything her father raised her to be and more. It wasn't until she started making assumptions instead of talking to Charlie. Even more so when Scarlett entered the picture. How do you believe someone who is manipulative and a liar over the person you supposedly love? That bothered me. Instead of taking her sisters, father's, and mother's advice to talk to Charlie for the truth, she thought she knew better. I can't stand FMC that act like that.

Thirty-nine year old Charlie Anderson clears the shelves of every product his ranch provided to an unethical merchant and makes it home to have lunch with his extended family where his dad tells him that they have a meeting with Walker Marketing to discuss the transition to his daughter as their senior advisor. His hackles are raised when he finds out that she is only in her late twenties, far too young to have much experience and certainly not enough to handle their huge holdings.
When Olivia, her sister London, and their bestie Lacey arrive at the Honky Tonks after work, Charlie, his brothers, and best friend are headed there as well. And wouldn’t you know it, their first dance is filled with enough electricity to light up the entire city, eclipsed only by the kisses they shared back at his ranch. But because neither gave a last name or contact info, both were gobsmacked when they come face to face at the marketing meeting and further surprised when their fathers agree that Olivia will spend three days at the ranch to develop the new marketing strategy for introducing consumers to their working ranch.
The plan begins flawlessly as the public responds positively, and at the same time, Olivia and Charlie become more enamored of each other personally and sexually to the point that the entire family thinks she will become one of them. That is, until Todd and Scarlett, their exes, try to derail their budding romance. While Charlie immediately takes care of smashing Todd’s bid at winning back Olivia, Scarlett is a snake in a woman’s body who will stop at nothing to be tied to the man she still covets.
This story is a winner and a great start to the Sister Pact series! It is outstandingly well written and filled with everything readers could want in a heartfelt romance, including yummy passion. Ali Parker once again demonstrates why she has so many followers as she crafts this delightful tale of two people from different yet tangential backgrounds who begin their association purely professionally and conclude with oh so much more. Ride, literally and metaphorically, along with Olivia and Charlie’s journey from Texas to New York to HEA, accompanied by a large secondary cast of wonderful characters of family, friends, and community. Such a great read!

Olivia is leaving the Big Apple to head to Texas...and you know what they say about Texas...everything is bigger in Texas...Olivia is taking over her father's marketing firm, and one of her sisters and a close friend are all making the move. Olivia is set to meet with one of their biggest accounts a few days after they move and get settled. Deciding to get the lay of the land, they head out to a local bar or in this case a honky tonk, where Olivia ends up roping herself a hot cowboy and...they were right everything is bigger and better in Texas....When Olivia shows up for her meeting at the Ranch with her Father on Monday, she meets the owner, who brings in his son, who is also set to take over the family ranch...and lo and behold, that son is none other than her cowboy. They both act like they don't know one another. Charlie let's his feelings known that he isn't excited to work with a woman...they butt heads over marketing decisions - Charlie is adamant that he wants to keep his family's privacy. Liv does her best to work with him and let him see that she is serious about her job and protecting the ranch while promoting it. Soon, their chemistry can't be contained, and as Liv proves, she is more than just a rich city girl. This is the first book in a new Trilogy called The Sister Pact but can be read as a standalone. Olivia’s father is the owner of a major advertising firm with headquarters in NYC. He is thinking about retiring and is training her to take over. In preparation for this, he sent her and her sister to run their original and largest branch in Texas. Wow, things heat up when she meets the eldest son of their largest client. Both have sworn off relationships but that doesn’t keep the sparks from flying. Wow, this is a great story that will grab your attention right at the beginning and you won’t be able to put it down. Overflowing with emotion, drama and turmoil from Charlie’s manipulative ex. Misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions add to the angst. His brothers and her sisters were cute secondary characters who I feel we’ll see a lot more up in upcoming books. The push pull between Olivia and Charlie will have you pulling for them. It won’t take you long to fall in love with the cowboy and the city girl. An amazing story that only whets your appetite for the next book. An HEA and no cliffhanger for this book I read a free arc via the author and I voluntarily chose to write a review.

Charlie and Olivia come from two different worlds. Olivia is a high-powered marketing executive from New York City, and is transferred to the Houston office to take over the business from her father. There is no nepotism here, she and her sisters work hard for their company. Charlie is a rancher, who is also a billionaire, but that's not really as relevant to the story. Charlie runs his family's ranch, which is actually a giant corporation of many different farms. Charlie and Olivia's fathers go way back, and Olivia's firm does the marketing for the ranch. Sparks fly when Olivia takes over the account from her dad. Charlie doesn't think that the city girl can handle the job, but Olivia soon shows him that she doesn't back down from a challenge.
I think that this was an enjoyable story. There's obviously a happy ending, but it doesn't come easy. I was pleased that this was an atypical billionaire story - they both had their own money, so it wasn't part of the equation for their relationship. There were some bumps along the way - overheard conversations, misguided ex-girlfriend - not quite realistic but still entertaining.
Overall, I still loved the story, and found myself cheering for these two when the going got rough.

h my, this is such a GREAT Story!!! Olivia Walker (New Yorker big wig Marketing) and her sister meet Charlie Anderson (Big Time Cowboy) and his brothers at a bar in Texas. They end the night at Charlie's family's ranch for food, music and a good time and there were plenty of sparks between the two of them.
Charlie had no idea that Olivia was the daughter of the president of the firm who does the marketing for all the family's ranches and is getting ready to take over the company. Olivia had no idea that Charlie was the son of his father's best friend who owned all the ranches. When the two get together for the first of many meetings, they pretend not to know each other. What follows is ups and downs, tosses and turns and some of the hottest moments between these two that you just never want it to end. You will fall in love with these two and their siblings and parents. I can't wait to see where Ali takes us all on this new venture. This is a page turner and you will love, love, love this book.

They all leave and spend the night together for a good time on a big ranch. Then they meet at his ranch where Olivia was already and they didn’t know who each other was. They’re surprised to say the least. But, neither one is looking for a relationship due their own pasts. Neither one of them thinks the other doesn’t stand a chance with the other. This is her first big client handed down from her father who is retiring. She’s got fresh new ideas, but how will that go over with everyone? This story is built on unsureness by them both, but they have strong personalities, too. They are so drawn together they end up just living in the present, but for how long? The steam and intensity between them is almost too much. I loved every word on every page of this book. I’m sure you will, too.

Latest book by Ali Parker. This is currently a standalone book, but given both the main characters have single friends and siblings I can see scope for this to be the first in a series.
This book starts with City girl Olivia throwing her cheating ex-boyfriends belonging in the river before moving from New York to Texas to take up a new role in the family business. She is not looking for romance, but does meet some interesting cowboys on her first night out in Texas with her friends.
Charlie is the eldest of five brothers who all live and work on their family ranch. He has had his heart broken in the past by a woman doing some work for his family, meaning he is reluctant to work with business women again and finds it hard to open his heart again.
This is their story, it’s a full length tale detailing their ups and downs, which I received as an ARC and thoroughly enjoyed, I do hope this is the first in a new series.

I loved these two, just slightly more than they drove me mental. With lots of City Mouse versus Country Mouse energy, a bit of an age gap and some heavy previous relationship baggage from their pasts, Liv and Charlie had me hooked on their story from the moment it opened. The things that came between them nearly had me teaching my reader how to fly, and the last one genuinely had me questioning our leading lady’s good sense. But they had an incredible supporting cast around them capable of talking them both back in off their respective ledges. I'm desperately hoping that the author’s going to bring us back to the Anderson spread in the future so that we can see what it’ll take to find Happy Ever Afters for Charlie’s brothers, too.

You'll just love this meet-cute!
I loved this story from the get-go!
I definitely believe in insta-lust, and that's exactly what seems to have happened between Liv and Charlie.
But Liv has sworn off relationships, and Charlie has sworn of "marketing" women!
But, Charlie's family's business is one of Liv's family's largest clients.
Now she has to spend time on the ranch, with Charlie as her guide!
What exactly is that guidance going to look like.

Olivia's father is training her to take over Walker Marketing. Charlie's father told him that they have a meeting with Walker Marketing. When he heard Olivia's age he didn't think that she will be able to handle their huge holdings. Olivia her sister and bestie was at the Honky Tonks when Charlie, his brother and best friend was their also and Olivia and Charlie was instantly attracted to each other and shared a kiss. They saw each other again at the meeting and their fathers agreed that Olivia will spend some time on the ranch to develop the new marketing strategy. The more time they spent together the closer they got until their exes were back. Will they be able to overcome this obstacles and get a happy ending. This is a fantastic must read story.

Loved how these two people form very different lifestyles, backgrounds, and up brings come together. It is amazing how healing from hurt can be the common thread between the two. A family with daughters are drawn yo a range family with only sons. The characters are fantastic because I watched how they gradually opened their minds and hearts to the possibilities of giving like (love) a chance😁😁. This book is full of brotherly high jinks and caring concern. Don't leave the women out because they are just as much each others ride or die support.

Sparks fly between Charlie and Olivia when her father sends her to Texas to meet with their biggest client. Their first encounter has emotions running high and the banter flowing. Olivia is a woman that doesn't back down and calls Charlie out leading to feelings blossoming and ex's coming in to wreak havoc. This story had me all caught up in the drama and cheering on the main characters to get their chance for happiness. It is a wonderful story that is descriptive, has great characters that drew me in and had me turning the pages to see how it all comes together in the end.

City and Cowboy
From the very beginning I loved the family dynamics of both of the main characters Charlie and Olivia.
Olivia was so close to her parents and sisters as was Charlie with his parents and his many brothers.
From their first interaction the two were smitten with each other and over the story they just kept getting closer.
Along the way they had some bumpy roads to navigate and a person set on breaking them up.
A great storyline and such loveable characters. A pleasure to read.
I’d love to continue the series of Olivia’s sister’s journey to love.
I’d also like reading stories about Charlie’s best friend Dallas as well as all of Charlie’s brothers.

Charlie and Olivia’s story has them meeting when her dad retires and she takes over the big Walker Marketing. Charlie thinks she’s too young to take on his family’s Ranch. But they meet at the bar with their family and friends unbeknownst to each other. They share a dance and kisses but no last names given. When they see each other at the meeting and she’s to stay there for a few days to get the feel for their marketing tech they become involved. But their ex’s decide to try to sabotage them and the ex’s will get theirs. A good start to this series (I am hoping the brothers and sister and friends get their own book)

Charlie and Liv are kismet at its best, with butting heads all the way. 100% Recommended!
What a phenomenal read of city vs country, NYC vs TX Olivia is city all the way and of course Charlie the Texas cowboy is country all the way! They also have something in common, each are the oldest sibling and the one chosen to take over when their Dads retire. These two have a pull neither of them knows what to do with. Never saw two people with such evil ex's that have crushed their trust as much as these two! Thank you Ali for this sensual romance of two people that needed love in their lives!

I considered giving this book four stars because of its length, but ultimately decided it deserved five. The detailed storytelling made the book feel well-rounded and gave me the chance to really connect with the main characters. Their chemistry was strong and believable, which made them feel real. What did frustrate me, though, was Liv’s tendency to run whenever she misunderstood something. First, it was the conversation she overheard with Dallas, and then again after Scarlett made comments about Charlie. Instead of talking to Charlie and getting the truth, she believed his ex—someone she already knew was manipulative and dishonest. Overall, I enjoyed this book!

This is the first book in the Sister Pack series, and let me tell you, this book doesn't disappoint us readers either, and I am so excited for the more to come. Olivia Walker and two of her sisters are headed to Houston to take over her father's company, but when she meets Charlie Anderson will sparks fly between them or will his ex to destroy them? i absolutely loved this book and couldn't get enough of them and was so engrossed in the story. you will definitely fall in love with liv and charlie

Great start to this new trilogy by Ms. Parker! She brings a cast of strong characters centering on Olivia and Charlie and takes you into their lives with chemistry and steam and kept me turning the pages with the intense storyline and watching the sparks fly between them. I loved watching them work through their issues and finding their HEA. It's well written with descriptive scenes , moves fluidly and is a fantastic read. I'm looking forward to the next book.

Quite enjoyable. This story stars Charlie and Olivia. Olivia’s father retires from his company Walker Marketing and Olivia takes over. Charlie thinks she’s not old enough. There’s a get together with their family’s and neither knows each other. They have a dance and a bit of cuddling but they don’t share last names so they have no idea who each other is to the other. Once the secret is out thry try to carry on but little do they know, their ex’s do what they can to sabotage their relationship. s is the first book to a new series and it’s looks like it will be a good one.

This is the first book in this new series of interconnected standalones, and it's delicious. Liv and Charlie are such layered characters, you need every one of those pages to understand them. Ms. Parker does a fantastic job of showing and not just telling, so I felt the angst, their passions, their pull toward each other. There was also great love and respect for family on display. I loved every moment on every page. It was a bumpy ride, and they had to invest to get their HEA. It was hot and so worth it! Maybe we'll get Lacey's story next?

She is taking over the family marketing business and he his a grumpy rancher who thinks she can't do the job. When her plan starts working and they start getting closer and a few flies strat getting stuck in the ointment, Charlie will help Olivia get rid of her annoying ex but his ex is more of a problem . Their HEA will be that much sweeter in the end. A great beginning to a brand new series that I am sure will be loads of fun!

This is a story to dig in and enjoy. I loved Charlie and Olivia. They start off warming my heart with time together and growing that connection in a short time. The bit of a twist definitely throws them off their game a bit but they come back strong! The time together, the tension with that pull that just can't be denied. They are strong charcaters, and I loved the friends and family around them and how close those relationships are. This is a great start to a new series and I'm looking forward to more!

meh, a bit of a slog
It was work getting through this book. I was hopeful something would happen eventually. It’s a slow burn with little heat but lots of smoke. Plenty of descriptions of locations, rooms, buildings, vistas, work obligations, what people are wearing, oh…and a bit of character interaction via dialogue. Plot seems a bit loose to me. Characters are insta love hot but bide their time. After a few hookups it’s “the one”. However our MFC (who is written as tough and savvy) is wholly taken in by a known manipulative witch after her man. Really?

Olivia's father owns a NYC marketing firm with its biggest branch in Houston. He is retiring and turning the company over to her, his eldest of three daughters, and she is moving to Houston. She meets Charlie, a billionaire cowboy, who is their biggest client. Charlie is the oldest of five brothers and immediately calls dibs on Olivia before he even knows who she is. The story unfolds with bouts of lust and misunderstandings. It's a great book that everyone should enjoy.

This book is amazing. It keeps you on the edge of your seat as you follow the story of Olivia and Charlie. The difference between city and country. Can they work together? Love how strong of a main female character that Olivia is. I love how the story seemed so real that this could actually happen in real life. I recommend this book to everybody you won't be disappointed at all. I can't wait for book two of the series hopefully more sexy cowboys in it.

This is a beautiful story, told so well that you feel you’re on the ranch, seeing everything through the authors eyes. The families, parents, sisters, the ranch, their business, all are fascinating and I can’t wait to read the follow-up books on Olivia’s sisters .. and maybe Charlie’s brothers too!!! They’re definitely all interesting personalities. This is another 5star winner from Ms Parker!
