Finder’s Keepers is a romantic, sweet, and emotional debut novel by Nicole Lenz. It was easy to read in some ways, but it pulled on my heartstrings throughout the story.

I loved the romance between Gavin and Bailey, but my favorite aspect of this was seeing the strength Bailey demonstrated and watching her get a second chance at love, as well as finding a haven for her and her daughter. I rooted for her so much.

There were many great secondary characters, and the small town in which this book took place had so much charm. It had a few nail-biting moments, but the end left a big smile on my face!

Setting aside some repetitions, it was a nice and emotional read.
Although the romance bloomed a little late in the story, it held my interest and the secondary characters were great.

I can’t believe this is a debut novel! Nicole Lenz did such an incredible job bringing this story to life—I could vividly picture the small Texas town and the characters. The vibes were perfect. I read and listened to this one, and the narrator, Rachel Dane, was fantastic. There were definitely moments where the FMC frustrated me, but it all came together by the end. Such a great read and audiobook experience!

This story gently touches your emotions through its tender and heartfelt narrative. The book beautifully portrays fresh starts alongside quiet resilience and the gradual process of rebuilding trust. It unfolds in Pine Grove's charming town atmosphere while featuring memorable characters alongside a gentle romance and a welcoming community vibe that invites you to settle in for the duration.

The characters’ inner journeys demonstrate remarkable emotional depth and care. This book explores the themes of resilience, safety and the critical role of human connection without becoming preachy. It demonstrates that healing power can emerge from unexpected sources and individuals.

Small-town fiction enthusiasts who enjoy stories with emotional depth and hopeful warmth will find this book ideal. The story makes a lasting impression that endures well beyond the last page.

I was one of the lucky ones who got to experience this debut novel from one of my beloved booktok creators before it was out in the wild. I knew that this book was going to be good but I was blown away by how this book took over my mind for the few days I was reading.

Nicole did an amazing job at writing this book and keeping even a slow reader like me hooked on this captivating raw and emotional love story with a sprinkle of suspense!
Bailey has finally escaped a physically and mentally abusive marriage with her daughter Sophie. After some not so pleasant places to stay with your child while on the run, the girls end up stopping for breakfast and meeting Ms. Lucy. If you are from a small town you will instantly find comfort in Ms. Lucy. She is kind as can be but definitely has a story to tell behind those kind eyes and sweet smile as she knows exactly what Bailey and Sophie need.
Bailey and Sophie find some peace in the comforts of small town Pine Grove, Texas. They were starting to have what seemed like a start to a new life, maybe even a do over at finding out what love really feels like. Bailey finds herself questioning the intentions of Mr. Sunshine veterinarian, (that’s scarred of the funniest animal) Gavin Mitchell who seems to be doing all the right things…but are all men the same? Is he just another Matt?
But not all happy endings can last forever right.. one huge problem leads to the shadow man coming back into Bailey and Sophie’s life.
Nicole tore me apart and put me back together but not after she MADE ME CRY!!!

This book was beautiful written.
This book will hold your attention.
This author will not disappoint you!

This was a very emotional yet beautiful story, both heartbreaking yet heartwarming. The author managed to pull so many emotions out of me through her writing, that I was left questioning how this could possibly be a debut novel.

This story follows Bailey who packs up her daughter Sophie in the middle of the night to run away from her abusive husband. Not knowing where they are going to go and with very little money, Bailey is determined to make a better life for her and her daughter. Along the journey they stop at a little restaurant in Pine Grove, Texas where they meet their waitress, Lucille. Lucille is a widowed yet spirited woman who sees the unspoken words in Bailey's eyes and decides to open up her home to Bailey and Sophie. Bailey struggles with accepting help because in her eyes she views it as a sign of weakness or that "she isn't good enough" to do it on her own. As Bailey begins to set down a foundation in walks Gavin Mitchell, the town's veterinarian, determined to break down all of her walls by being patient and showing her that she can trust again. Soon as things are going the way Bailey never thought they could, she starts feeling that it is too good to be true and that her past will come to ruin it all.

What to Expect
💜Small Town Romance
💜Slow Burn
💜Found Family
💜Single Mom
💜Friends to Lovers
💜Romantic Suspense
💜He Falls First

I will say this book does have triggers: DA and PTSD. However, I loved how the author focused on the internal scars that domestic abuse can leave behind. You see what someone with PTSD can go through: the constant feeling that you are not safe, that you need to run, that you are being watched. How you continue to blame yourself or see yourself as inadequate. The author did an amazing job with Bailey's personal growth and how she had to overcome all these barriers and scars. It doesn't happen overnight and even when everything is good, and things are looking up those thoughts are still in the back of your mind. The author handled these topics with care yet made them raw and realistic. I loved all the characters and loved the found family aspect in this small town.

This book was emotional.

Bailey, running was never something she had planned but being a mother changed that and for her little girl she ran, to give her comfort and to ensure that they both stopped living in fear.

The ups and downs, fears, taking steps to live a new life and enjoy the little moments was written perfectly.

Add in the support of a community and a man who loves you. 👌🏻

Gavin! This hero was so supportive and loving ♥️

Those last few chapters 💔

...the one thing I wished for was a little time jump. As everything happened within a 4 week period. A little time jump before going into a new relationship but also highlighting the important aspects would have been great.

But overall, an emotional and well written book!

ARC Review: Finders Keepers by Nicole Lenz
Trigger Warning: This book contains themes of domestic violence and its lasting effects.

Finders Keepers by Nicole Lenz is a deeply emotional and powerful story of survival, healing, and hope. It follows Bailey, a woman trapped in a cycle of abuse at the hands of her alcoholic husband. One harrowing night, she makes the courageous decision to flee with her young daughter, Sophie, leaving behind everything they’ve known in search of safety.

Their journey leads them to a small town in Texas, where a chance encounter with a kind-hearted waitress named Lucille becomes the first step toward rebuilding their lives. Lucille offers them a safe haven, and with the support of the town’s tight-knit community, Bailey begins to find a sense of belonging. But her past trauma lingers—manifesting in severe PTSD, trust issues, and the constant fear of being found.

As Bailey tries to settle into her new life, she meets Gavin, the local vet, who quickly becomes a steady presence for both her and Sophie. Gavin is everything her ex wasn’t—gentle, dependable, and unwavering in his affection. But Bailey’s journey to trust and self-worth is far from easy. The question looms: can she allow herself to accept the love and safety she so desperately deserves?

Nicole Lenz doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities of domestic abuse. She captures the internal scars it leaves behind—the self-doubt, the hyper-vigilance, the urge to disappear. It’s a raw, authentic portrayal of trauma, but also of resilience and the strength it takes to rebuild a life.

This book broke my heart and mended it, sometimes all within the same chapter. Bailey’s story is one of pain, but also of quiet triumph. I truly loved it, and I’ll be thinking about these characters for a long time.

First I would just like to say how refreshing it was to read this book. This was one of the most well written, well thought out books I have read in a long time. This book is real and relatable and as long as you check the trigger warnings first, one you should put in your hands ASAP.

Bailey has taken her young daughter and made a run from her husband. She ends up in a small town where a complete stranger takes her in and her life starts to begin again. She shares small bits and pieces of her life and we end up getting her entire backstory. I did appreciate the author doing flashbacks of things that happened with her and her husband, it really helped to put things into perspective.

This book also has it all...spice, romance, some mystery, and definitely some suspense. I was kept on my toes for most of it, just waiting to see what would happen. I don't want to reveal too much, I want you to go out and read it! For what it's worth, no character annoyed me in the slightest, I just wanted more and more!

Finders Keepers might be Nicole Lenz’s debut novel, but she absolutely nailed it! The characters feel real, the emotions hit deep, and the story flows beautifully—with just the right touch of spice to heat things up.

Bailey is on the run with her daughter, escaping an abusive marriage and searching for a fresh start. They land in Pine Grove, Texas, where the small-town charm and warm-hearted locals offer a glimmer of hope. But after years of emotional trauma, Bailey struggles to believe she deserves any of it. Enter Gavin—the town’s kind (and undeniably swoony) veterinarian—who stirs up feelings she’s not sure she’s ready for. As she starts to imagine a new life, the fear of her past crashing back down still lingers.

Bailey’s journey is raw and relatable, and I rooted for her every step of the way. Little Sophie is pure sunshine, and Ms. Lucy stole my heart with her feisty, no-nonsense love. This book delivers heart, healing, and hope in all the best ways.

"I know you're brave enough to leave, and that's not nothing."

I'm always in the mood for a romantic suspense that can really hold my attention, and Finders Keepers did precisely that. The story centers on Bailey and her five year old daughter, Sophie. The pair flee an abusive household and find themselves in a small Texas town filled with an entire cast of characters who are more than willing to help.

And Gavin. Dr. Gavin Mitchell is also in this small town, but we'll get to him in a minute.

I have to commend the author for her ability to craft heartfelt and powerful connections between her characters. And I'm not solely referring to the relationship between Bailey and her love interest when I say this. Each friendship Bailey builds as she finds her way to freedom is wholly unique. From the ineffable wisdom of Ms. Lucy to the quiet stability of Molly & Mary Beth, the side characters in Finders Keepers truly shine.

Another phenomenal relationship portrayed is that of Bailey and her daughter. It's perfection. As a mother, some moments within the story will punch you directly in the gut. (A good punch, I promise)

Now, let's talk about Dr. Mitchell. *giggles uncontrollably* Gavin Mitchell is the absolute calm in Bailey's storm. He can read all her signals and knows when to give her space (while providing constant support), but also when to push her to accept what's happening between them. Oh, and he's a hot vet. Who doesn't want that?

Thank you for putting him in gray sweatpants (I think) twice. Very nice. I clapped like a seal with excitement whenever he showed up on page in them.

I did this on audiobook, and as always, Rachel Dane is an absolute gem. Her ability to bring depth to the characters she portrays blows my mind each time I listen to her. She truly knows how to bring a story to life with just her voice. And as the type of audiobook reader who 'talks back' to the characters, you can imagine how much I shouted and screamed during that ending! My heart was racing,

All in all, this was a fantastic book, and I look forward to reading more from Nicole Lenz.
Like, maybe... a Ms. Lucy origin book? A short story? A novella? Please?

Fans of small-town fiction seeking narratives with emotional richness and uplifting warmth will discover this book perfect for them. The narrative leaves an enduring impact that remains long after the final page.

Nicole Lenz's first romantic suspense left me full of emotions. I swore, wept, yelled, rallied for some attractive cowboys, and felt mad and furious for the FMC. By approximately 65% into this book, I couldn't stop reading; I needed to find out what would unfold next.

Our FMC Bailey is fleeing an abusive marriage; she packed up her 4-year-old and rushed out of Oklahoma. She encounters Ms. Lucy, who glances at her in that Texas diner and declares, "You're moving into my guest house, and that’s final." She encounters her extremely patient, kind, and understanding new friend Gavin, the veterinarian of the town, who is incredibly sweet to Bailey and Sophia!

I appreciated how this book highlighted the healing roles of the partner and children in a domestic abuse relationship. Bailey is quite a resilient individual. Although Bailey sensed weakness or believed she was letting her daughter down, she was continually acting in Sophia's best interest. Constantly prioritizing her and engaging in the challenging process of moving forward, evolving, and demonstrating a healthy relationship to Sophia. Whether it’s with family, friends, or a significant other. Gavin, the local veterinarian, feels an attraction to the new arrivals in town, Bailey and Sophia. He demonstrates remarkable understanding and patience regarding these two. Never pressuring Bailey or her daughter Sophia into doing anything that makes them uneasy. He demonstrates to them that not every man is aggressive. He sincerely loves them as they deserve to be loved.
I greatly respect Bailey’s bravery in escaping the harmful, toxic situation she and her daughter were trapped in. Not everyone has that opportunity—but she discovered the courage to achieve it. Ms. Lucy captured my heart the instant Bailey and Sophie encountered her—everyone should have someone like that supporting them. Gavin's gentle nature and his deep understanding of Bailey and Sophie truly touched my heart. He reliably supports Bailey, serving as her pillar in an authentic and heartfelt manner. I never anticipated this book would be so suspenseful, yet it thoroughly captivated me.

I absolutely highly recommend this book! This is about Bailey who is on the run with her 4 year old daughter Sophie from her abusive husband. She ends up in a small town where she meets Ms. Lucy. Ms. Lucy is the grandma that everyone needs in their life.
This book talks about DV a lot. Bailey is so scared and triggered a lot. The anxiety representation is perfect.
This is definitely an amazing story. Beautifully written!! If you love found family, small town, second chance, trauma you need to read this!!

A solid 4.25 Stars!

This was a phenomenally written debut romance from author Nicole Lenz! I had the pleasure of listening to the audio narrated by Rachel Dane who wove the voices of each character seamlessly in and out of the story without breaking the scene.

Everyone needs a Ms. Lucy in their lives and let me just tell you - everyone should have a Gavin in their lives as well!

I thought this was going to end up being a closed door romance but there was a little bit of spice sprinkled in (not too much, but just the right amount for this type of book).

There are a few triggers so make sure to check those: I don’t ever check triggers and don’t know if they were listed but I could see where a few things that happen in this book could need some advanced warning.

Gavin, Bailey and Sophie are wonderful.
The strength that Bailey shows, picking up her life, her daughter and moving to the unknown take so much courage. With someone looking out for her, she finds herself in Pine Grove, where she finds a mother/grandma figure in Ms. Lucy, friendships, unconditional kindness and a man with so much patience and understanding, that no amount of pulling/pushing away will stop him from being there in any way they need for Bailey and Sophie.
The accuracy with which the trauma and fear was written… chilling; the incident, frightening.
Found family in this picturesque town, with its little festivals, quaint shops on Main Street the and the handsome vet.
Nicole wrote a debut novel that doesn’t read like a debut novel .
I’ve been following Nicole on TikTok for a while. and had the pleasure of meeting her for the first time last year at a signing. There she talked a little bit about things that were going her way. I’ve been following and paying attention ever since and watching her succeed over and over.
I had no doubt that this story was going to be beautiful and it is. Finders Keepers warmed my heart. It made me smile, cry, chilled me to the bone and made me want more.
Nicole, I can’t wait to see what you do next, it’s gonna be great!

Finders Keepers is Nicole's first book, and I was excited to read it. It's been on my radar for a while because I love romantic suspense and she did a great job. When I first started it, I was unsure if I would enjoy it as much as I normally would because it was not dual point of view, but that ended up not making a difference to me. The book was really good!

Bailey recently escaped a physically abusive relationship. She and her daughter, Sophie, fled in the middle of the night, finding themselves in a small town in Texas. An older lady, sensed they needed help and offered them a place to live, helped Bailey find a job, and immersed them into a found family Bailey didn't realize she needed.

Bailey soon meets the town veterinarian who is charming and kind; but Bailey isn't so sure she can trust herself to determine if he is truly that. Gavin is great with Sophie and so patient with Bailey. The more time he spends with them, he begins filling the cracks left behind by her past relationship.

Gavin was such a great MMC, he instantly sensed he needed to approach with caution and seemed to know exactly what he needed to do to give Bailey peace and space to process what she needed. Bailey was strong even when she did not feel like it. The way their relationship progressed seemed realistic and it was not just insta-love like some romance novels. Nicole was thoughtful about the pace of their relationship, and I am glad she was.

I also enjoyed the romantic suspense part of the book. We knew who the "bad guy" was but the suspense leading up to was great.

I did receive this book as an ARC but this in no way altered my opinion of the book. It was well written and had me hooked from the beginning. Thank you to The Author Agency and Nicole Lenz for an ARC copy of Finders Keepers.

Nicole Lenz’s debut novel, Finders Keepers, is an emotionally resonant, slow-burn romance that sneaks up on you in all the best ways. Set in a small town, the story follows Bailey—a single mom doing everything she can to build a better life for her daughter, Sophie. When fate leads them to Lucille, a sharp, big-hearted widow with a touch of sass, Bailey gets more than just a roof over her head. She finds a second chance at hope—and maybe even love.

The real magic of this book lies in its characters. Bailey is strong but wounded, determined but guarded. Her connection with the love interest (no spoilers!) builds with delicious tension and tenderness, never rushing the moment. And Lucille might just be my favorite character in the entire book—wise, witty, and the kind of woman who hands you a glass of sweet tea and a reality check at the same time.

What surprised me most about Finders Keepers was its depth. Yes, it has small-town charm, laugh-out-loud banter, and the kind of romantic tension that keeps you up way too late—but it also tackles grief, resilience, and what it means to start over. Lenz handles heavy themes with care and authenticity, making this more than just a love story. It’s about healing, chosen family, and letting yourself be loved even when you don’t feel worthy of it.

If you love heartfelt romance with a strong emotional core, layered characters, and a story that leaves you both smiling and teary-eyed, Finders Keepers is a must-read. Nicole Lenz is definitely an author to watch. This debut is the beginning of something big.

This ARC was provided by the author via The Author Agency.

Finders Keepers is a romantic suspense debut novel by Nicole Lenz and I really enjoyed the read. For those sensitive to domestic violence please read any warnings beforehand.

In a world of duel POVs, this one is told solely from Bailey’s and I think that was a smart choice. Staying in her mind lets the reader see the stream of consciousness that comes with the fear, anxiety, and confusion of an abusive relationship. Toss in the fact that Bailey is a mom and the author has a perfect combination of suspense and desperation.

I also feel that it may have been somewhat of a hindrance to the story. It felt in some scenes that the story wasn’t moving forward and I had a difficult time connecting with the MMC and the side characters. Gavin almost feels like an afterthought until after the halfway mark. This is Bailey and Sophie’s story, of course, but I wanted that emotional spark with Gavin.

I was so excited to read this book and I’m so glad that I got the chance! Nicole Lenz has crafted an excellent telling of what it’s like to live in the shadow of abuse. Writing a four year old navigating these situations and emotions isn’t easy and she nailed it completely. The inner turmoil that Bailey works through is believable and real. The fear gripping her decisions and words comes through clearly. That’s why I gave this debut four stars and recommend you give it a read.

Oh my heart — Finders Keepers is one of those rare reads that wraps around you like a warm blanket, then promptly steals it to tug you through every emotion imaginable. I laughed, I cried, I swooned (multiple times), and I finished the book feeling like I’d just been hugged by the universe.

Bailey’s journey is the soul of this story — raw, real, and deeply inspiring. Watching her learn to trust again, to open her heart, to believe in love after so much pain? It’s the kind of character arc that sticks with you long after the last page.

And Gavin… sigh. WHO says the nice guy can’t be sexy, dominant, and completely magnetic? Gavin is the proof. He’s the kind of man who brings strength through softness, who shows up, stands up, and makes you believe that kindness is the real power move.

Sophie is the cherry on top — full of life and love and all the mischief that makes a story shine. And let’s not forget Ms. Lucille! Everyone needs a Ms. Lucille in their lives. Sass, wisdom, heart — she’s the beating pulse of found family magic.

This book isn’t about the family you’re born into — it’s about the family you find, and the trust and love you build along the way. Nicole Lenz nailed it from start to finish. I’m already itching to reread it with a cup of tea and a big box of tissues. 💛

If you love emotional journeys, heart-melting romance, and characters that feel like old friends, Finders Keepers belongs on your shelf — and in your heart

Do yourself a favor and read the book.

✨✨✨✨✨This book is absolutely amazing. I’ve never felt more seen in a book as I did in this one. Bailey, a young mom, finally decides enough is enough and chooses herself and her daughter. The raw emotions and sweet little lines are heartwarming.

“I love you more than all the butterflies in the world.”

Sophie, Bailey’s daughter, is the cutest and sweetest little girl. The bond she forms with Ms. Lucy is the relationship we all want for our kids with a grandma. Ms. Lucy is by far one of my favorite side characters. She holds so much wisdom and town secrets.

“You’re doing amazing, honey. One step at a time.” I nod, grateful for her understanding. “One step at a time,” I remind myself.

Then we have Gavin, oh, sweet, perfect Gavin. He is so patient with Bailey and proves he is there for her through thick and thin. The way he stepped up and never backed down, never gave up on her, and always had her back.

“What if we have a beautiful day celebrating you?” He finishes for me. “What if Sophie gets to see her mom smile and laugh? What if you get to feel, even for just a few hours, like you don’t have to look over your shoulder?”

This story is incredibly powerful, and I will definitely be rereading it. Bailey’s journey to happiness will likely be something I think about daily. I loved following her on her path to self-discovery and empowerment. It’s truly a beautiful story.

Bailey flees from her husband with their young daughter Sophie and finds herself in a small Texas town where she’s immediately taken under the wing of Ms Lucy. She’s offered a home, a job and a chance to restart her life. Then she meets Gavin, the local vet who just wants to take care of her and Sophie and treat them the way they should always have been treated. But Bailey finds it hard to move on from her traumatic past. Will her husband find her? And will she learn to love and trust again?

Ok wow. This book is seriously heavy so don’t go into it lightly. It’s not just a small town romance, it’s about fleeing from abuse, dealing with trauma and learning how to be ok again. I liked the fact the book didn’t sugarcoat it things. It was graphic without being too much. You could feel Bailey’s fear, her panic, the way she was at war with herself. And hearing her exes voice in her head, putting her down, was so realistic I had to stop and breathe a few times. Overall it was an amazing book, an important story and healing in so many ways

This is such an emotional rollercoaster!
You will absolutely go through all the feels and you will feel them like you’re there in the middle of it all.

This story follows Bailey and her 4 year old daughter Sophie and the journey of finding themselves again after leaving her abusive husband in the middle of the night.
And let me tell you…
The journey there are on is rough, bumpy, full of tears but also joy, happiness, love and family.
Found family will forever be one of my favorite tropes and in this book it’s just written to perfection.
I really loved following their journey and watching how Sophie started of being chained to her mother, incredible shy and have no trust in strangers. To see how she works through this is incredible, that little girl is so much stronger than she needs to be in her age. I’m amazed by that girl.

& Bailey?!?! That woman is STRONG! So incredibly strong!
She’s been living in hell for years and finally found the courage to leave that in itself takes more courage than most people ever have to find throughout their entire lives.
But watching her settle down in a new place surrounded by strangers and slowly becoming more comfortable and trusting. How she’s slowly learning to accept help and believe in the good in people again is beautiful.

& Gavin?! This man is the greenest of greenest flags.
That might be the most patient man ever written!
He’s just got this way of seeing and understanding Bailey & Sophie’s needs without them saying anything at all.

Finders Keepers follows Bailey, a mom escaping her abusive husband and father of her child. After driving for what seems like forever she just so happens to stop in at a small town diner. Thankfully that's when everything changes.

This book perfectly captures the feeling of leaving Bailey's situation. The constant looking over your shoulder, the constant flashbacks and hearing their voice in your head at every turn. The fear of letting someone new in, let alone to even think of find happiness afterwards.

While reading I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. For Gavin and all of his perfectness to turn out to be the opposite. Just like Bailey was waiting for it as well. But Nicole makes him the perfect gentleman and everything that Bailey needs. He is kind and caring and patient, on top of extremely protective of her and her little girl. Which that alone says alot about his character.

I was left yelling at the pages during the last 20%. While the ending is exactly what you want, the ride to get there is definitely one that's long and bumpy and field with plenty of blind curves. I loved every minute of it.

Congratulations to Nicole on her Debut novel!!
If you are looking for a wholesome romance with a little suspense, then you are in the right place.

Bailey has finally gotten the courage to stand up to her ex and leave town. She has her daughter in tow and they are heading to find a life that is safe and secure. She wants her daughter to know what a relationship is supposed to be like because she is finally getting to the age where she is understanding. When Bailey ends up in a quaint little diner in a small town she meets the most amazing, supportive, grandma figure, who promptly takes her and her daughter under her wing.

Bailey has her guard up, rightfully so, but when she finally lets the walls come down there is a whole town waiting for her with open arms. With some helpful meddling, Bailey opens her heart to the local town veterinarian. He falls first and fast and works hard to prove to her that relationships are meant to be cherished. He is always putting her and her daughter first, you can't help but fall in love with his character. After a suspenseful twist Bailey finally gets her happy ever after.

Thank you to Nicole for allowing me to ARC read her debut novel!

This one is for all my romantic suspense lovers!

Finders Keepers is a he falls first, found family, friends to lovers, single mom, forced proximity, reverse grumpy x sunshine, romantic suspense between Bailey and Gavin.

Bailey is running with her young daughter from her abusive ex, and she’s understandably extremely cautious and distrustful of people when they arrive in this small town. I loved how they’re embraced with open and loving arms by so many people, and they’re able to find healing, love, and safety with their new family.

Gavin is such a sweetheart. He recognizes that Bailey needs time to heal and learn to trust again, and he gives her that time she needs, while also finding ways to make her and her daughter feel safe and happy again. I loved that he just has endless kindness that he freely gives out, and I think so many readers will really love him.

Thank you so much to @authornicolelenz and @theauthor.agency for this beautiful arc!
