They left her alone with a feral alpha. What did they expect?
Ondine's contract with Jake Meier and his two alphas, Sebastian and Shadow, is broken. After being subjected to an unwanted scent test by local gangster Lee Man-ho, Ondine fell into a devastating bond sickness. While being treated, Ondine found her scent match, Shadow's half-brother Freddie, and bonded him. With the contract broken and Ondine bonded to another alpha, the Meier Pack has no claim on the omega. Afraid of losing her, Jake Meier is on the hunt for her crush, Arnie, a beta, to blackmail him into bonding with the Meier pack, ensuring Ondine would choose his pack even though she had a scent match.

OH WOW! I absolutely devoured this duet and it left me wanting SO MUCH MORE in the Cash City Omegaverse. I LOVED the level of heat and angst so much! The action of this book picks up SO fast and I had such a hard time putting it down to pay any sort of attention to real life.
❤️This duet brings multiple character arcs that show development and growth. There were a couple of characters that I really disliked in the beginning (idiot sandwiches) but by the end between their personal growth and the developments in the relationships around them I ended up loving every member of the pack and the personal flair (& balance) they bring to the group.
Characters were well-fleshed out, their arcs were executed well, and the plot was so gripping. There were external conflicts and internal conflicts which really kept everything moving along and incredibly engaging!
This duet may become a new favorite for me, I adored the vibes and the plot and the pacing so much! It was a perfect combination that I will enjoy rereading SO MUCH!
The Vibes 💙Hot and Angsty with a super satisfying conclusion❤️
Full of action and romance and amazing character growth. This book, like the rest of the series, is a whirlwind of a ride and will keep you turning pages until you're finished and will leave you craving for more
I really like this second part of this packs story. I enjoyed it even more than the first part. I feel like the cast and story really started to come together in this part.
The diverse cast of pack members had a lot of growth and even the psychos became a little more centered while still being super intense. I liked that Ondine really came into her own as the center of this really odd pack. She was following her instincts and made no apologies for it. I admired this especially since I didn't specifically relate to her personally even though I really enjoyed her character revelation. Oh and her confrontation with her shit parents was great!
Full transparency: I didn't actually read the first book, I just read the ending. I've been wary lately of the grovel in books because so few are worth the read when they require grovel and don't deliver. So I read the ending of the last book then took peeks at the beginning of this and just never stopped reading lol.
To be clear: There isn't any grovel in this book. But since I only read the ending of the first book, I didn't mind. It wasn't anything that required grovel imo. I gathered that one of them ignored her earlier in that book and she suffered for it. Another was obsessive and invasive and crossed lines. I know some reviews mentioned dubcon. I'm sure more happened, but in this book I liked them all and the way they came together as a pack.
FYI: The author's name on Kindle is Shasta de Leon.
Even with several errors this duet was exciting to read. I was so invested for Ondine (cool name) to get her pack & a better life. The packs obsession with her, the drama with Man-ho (really?), her beta crush, feral Freddie, creepy Boone & her Symphony interview all stressing her out. Everyone's growth were so interesting from each character or as a pack/family. Highly recommend.
I was so happy to see Ondine overcome her painful past & find the love she deserves from 5 men who cherish her. I also really enjoyed Jake’s character arc. He started out as an arrogant narcissist but his redeeming qualities really came thru in Part 2. I enjoyed seeing the men willingly relinquishing control to allow Ondine to take her rightful place to run the pack. 👑

I really enjoyed the concept in these two books. The characters are interesting and there are some crazy twists! I’m left intrigued by what comes next, I want more on her and Sebastian, more about Freddie and the feral alphas, more about the omega clinics and government corruption. I want more about their life together, like do they have kids?!
Couldn’t finish it, devoured the first book but this book fell flat for me personally, especially after what happened right at the end of the last book. Didnt make sense to me, had alot of potential though for a duet
I mean...we all knew Boone was going to be the bad guy, right? It was just a matter of WHEN and HOW it was going to play out.
I loved that this second book had more MM content. I was a little confused as to WHY Ondine was so possessive over Sebastian and not the others? Weird.

I'm pretty sure the writing improved -- or I got used to it. I really enjoyed this chaotic and crazy pack. It was a good time and a fast read. I will read more from this author.
