At birth, Junie “Junebug” Russell was destined to be a Savage Saint. No matter how hard she tried to stay out of it, she was next in line to be the vice-president of the Savage Saints after the death of the last vice-president—her mother. Due to the cold case of her mother’s murder, Junie is appointed a bodyguard. Junie’s protest falls on death’s ear as she’s assigned the Conqueror as her bodyguard.
Kairo “Conqueror” Woods didn’t expect to become the bodyguard for Junebug after impressing the members of the Iron Knights. Yet Kairo was there for one thing—revenge. He made up his mind that Junebug was a spoiled, entitled brat.
The more time that is spent between Junie and Kairo, the more secrets are revealed, but will Junie be able to conquer Kairo’s heart, or will all it end with a bleeding heart?
Y'all don't sleep on Ms. Wright, she wrote this masterpiece. Kairo came through and busted down, not one but two dirty motorcycle clubs. His undercover skills were better than the best detective in the precinct. Kairo did what he was asked to do, and that was to protect Junebug. He just protected her to the point he wiggled his way into her heart. She needed to experience the words and actions of a real man because her father was farthest from it. He was just as fake as a three dollar bill. They say, "The truth will set you free," and it did in this case. It released Junebug, Junior, and Kairo. It also bound and put others in their rightful places. Kairo was there to pick up the pieces and live his happily ever after with Junie.
Ladies and gentlemen, this series has been lit 🔥. Do not get weary on any of the installments. Read them all. I highly recommend this one. Kairo "Conqueror" Woods had one job, and he executed it well. He knew his assignment.
At birth, Junie “Junebug” Russell was destined to be a Savage Saint. The time has come for her to take her rightful place as the vice-president of the Savage Saints after the death of the last vice-president—her mother. As a means of protection, Conqueror is assigned as her bodyguard.
Kairo “Conqueror” Woods didnt expect Junie to look as she did once he began his bodyguard assignment. However, his main focus is revenge.
Junie is clearly not happy with her current situation that all changes when things go left. This causes Kairo to increase his protection methods, forcing the top in closer proximity. As time passes, the two get to know one another, causing Kairo to rethink his initial assessment of Junie.
Once the boundaries of their relationship change, secrets are unveiled and things rapidly change for everyone involved.
This was a fast paced novella that didn't include any long and drawn out scenarios or in depth character development, but understanding what it was and taking it at face value, I liked it. It was a quick read that I read in one sitting without any major angst. Junie was kinda hot in the pants and literally went from in love and about to bust it wide open for one man to being so in love and busting it even wider open for the bodyguard in the same week. Again, I say- this was FAST PACED. Kairo was a gentle giant who wasn't raised to be about that life but stepped into it to handle his handle. I liked him as a character. He didn't do too much unnecessary talking or shooting but when he did, he did so with purpose. Overall, the story held my attention, karma came, and the HEA happened. The end.
I really love this book it was romance, sad .Junebug want to be just like her mother and become a vice president of the club but their a a missing piece her mother that was no longer with her and a brother and a father that trying to be their for her . Kairo is the man that comes into her life and make that piece whole again and she’s finds out who really killed her mother and a secret that was revealed about her mother that end up having her father kill her mother in the moment thinking it was her lover not her .10/10 would recommmend you read

Bree, this read right here was full of misplaced hate. To see how much hatred people have just because of a feeling they have. Junie and Kairo both suffered from a tragic situation neither one could control. Both of them fought for what they believed. To see what happens when your living with situations you think are real instead of thinking for yourself will have you in a world of trouble.. Kairo, took on the role of protector and he discovered things about himself he never thought.🤗🤗🤗🤗
This standalone is lit. I cried about how my two babies linked by her daddy killing here mom cause she was sleeping with ol boy uncle and her daddy killed his dad. All the beef that was going on was about them big heads. I’m glad justice came to the both of them cause like they always say what’s fine in the dark come to the light. U did good on the first book that I have read of urs and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting for the next book to read
Whew… each book in this series takes me out 😩 I really felt for Kairo, Junie, and Junior. Losing a parent is hard enough, but losing them over something so senseless? Heartbreaking. Especially Junie and Junior not even knowing the truth about their mom that hurt. And Kairo losing his dad so young… man.
I’m so glad they found their way back to each other. 🥹 I would love a second book, give us the wedding, a baby, and more of Junior’s life outside of the Saints. We need it!
3.75 ⭐️ Here I was thinking, a female VP, let's get it!!
Only for "JuneBug" to be more ditz than brains.
Kairo wasn't lying when he said: "Nepotism was real. There was no way Prez felt Junie could carry the title of VP of a motorcycle club".
I am not entirely sure what Prez intentions were for his daughter other than for her not to end up like her mother 🤷🏾♀️. It's not like he had any respect or high esteem for women.
The emotional switch on these people would give you whiplash!
Family can be too much sometimes. Kairo's Uncle and Junie's daddy ruined their families with the things that they did. Blaming each other when they both were in the wrong. However, I'm happy that Kairo signed on to be Junie's bodyguard. They needed each other more than they knew.
Betrayal is hard, but betrayal from people you love is even harder. It all worked out in the end...Kairo and Junie got their happily ever after.
Kairo found a way to guard Junie in all ways. He found her attitude attractive. He knew that he wouldn't be able to let her go after his assignment. Junie came home to do a deed for her father, but fell for her bodyguard. Kairo made it easy to fall. Once Kairo found out the information that he was looking for, he still couldn't let go of Junie. Their love was true. Awesome read.
This was a good read and I was so happy that June and Kairo got their happily ever after because the way her daddy and his uncle played in their faces was crazy!!!… My heart broke for Junior because although he lost their mother, to learn that you father did it and played in your face the way he did and the disrespect he kept throwing in June face, I’m glad he turned their father in!!!…
This book was full of secrets, animosity and rivalries. Kairo and Junie ended up being stuck in the middle of these 2 rival MCs, but they didn't let that stop them from falling in love despite all of the difficulties. I loved how the author had all of these hidden layers that affected Kairo and Junie in some way. Great job!!
Kapri came to June bugs aid on many occasions. Their friendship was what each needed. Kapri uncovered the secrets that led to each of one of their parents. Junies dad was selfish as well as on an pride trip there was no reason for him to take out that man from his family. In the end they got ease what they deserved.
It’s true hurt people, hurt people ! ! ! Josiah turned everyone’s lives upside down by not confronting his wife and instead trying to sneak her sneaky link and ended up killing her and then going after another innocent man for his screw up ! ! ! At least Kiaro and Junie found true love out of all the deception and destruction ! ! !
The way I loved Junie and Kairo. Their instincts were spot on when they needed to be. Kairo was playing chess when everyone else was playing checkers. When it came down to it hr chose his peace and let justice serve where it may.
Man I knew the father was responsible for her mother’s death and the uncle was responsible for his own brother’s death. Another good BLP motorcycle club book.
For family members parents to treat you and have their trust just to do something so evil behind your back and act like they don’t know what happened is just so hurtful and disgusting and wrong
My first read by Bree Wright and I wasn't disappointed. The story was really good and that twist in the story shocked me . I love a good who done it! You'll be surprised like I was.
Prez and Kario uncle was both wrong for the secrets 🙊 that they kept from their families. Junie to find out what really happened to her mother. Kario really was Junie's protector. I'm glad they got together
I loved the ending. I definitely wasn’t expecting that plot twist with the momma and the uncle. Book was kinda straight to the point and not too much fluff
This was such a interesting story. I could not put it down! Mario and June were attracted bro each other in the begining. They fought it,but love prevailed.
