J. Muñoz's Spring Fling is a compelling college sports romance that vividly unfolds the electrifying chaos atmosphere of senior year! Selena Alvarez and Grayson Rhodes meet much like warring storms, filled with years of bitterness from a tragic freshman year meeting that no matter what has truly processed, the novel begins in such a fierce rage that progresses into something far more intriguing when accidental meetings, unspoken tension, and palpable chemistry fail to keep them apart! Selena's toughness as a student athlete and Grayson's carefully guarded tenderness make up a stunning contrast that makes every moment intense, the relationship they have turns out to be thoroughly built on truths of unpredictability, enchantment, and concerns about what awaits them after graduation!

A lot of the chapters within the book radiate the restless spirit spring, when ends and beginnings come together, one of the novel's best points is how carefully planned the emotional journey feels! The fake dating arrangement is a bridge that allows two uncompromising souls to at some point see each other honestly. Selena bringing Grayson home drunk made me so in love with both of them, also she saved some desserts just for him and that was really what I loved about Selena's spirit when he fell inlove but she saw that love and really wanted to devour and give it back to him in the same way and then most importantly she was proudly wearing his jersey and these and many more moments showed fondness long before either character is prepared to accept it, I was just in love with how magnificent details the Author delivers and I was stuck with open mouth devouring every single one of them and really this might be my favourite college sports romance of the Year, J. Muñoz has written such an outstanding debut!

SPRING FLING reveals that love boosts the confidence needed to achieve the goals we have in life. Selena and Grayson come from very different backgrounds, yet they each face life changing decisions about their futures, jobs, and identities, the found family elements was amazing and brought tenderness to the story, I love how the Author has crafted the novel in a very unique construction where every character brings their own brick to build a fascinating and compulsive structure of the novel, the representation of female athletes is empowering, it was delivered in a powerful construction. J. Muñoz's plot is honest, intriguing, and emotionally engaging all the way through, I LOVED the characters so much and I really am so happy to have read such a perfect page-turning romance novel, it has everything I look for in a book, this is a must-read for every Chelsea Curto and Liz Tomforde fan, you shouldn't miss this masterpiece!!!

I was really frustrated that so much of this was in Spanish. I do not speak Spanish and there was no effort to cue me in on what was said. That's ignoring the plot and character issues.

This was such a fun, quick college romance read for me.
I picked up Spring Fling mostly because I was in the mood for a hate-to-love story with some sports vibes, and it definitely delivered on that. The dynamic between Selena and Grayson starts off pretty sharp—they genuinely don’t like each other, and you can feel that tension right away. It made all their interactions way more entertaining.
Selena was easy to root for. I liked that she’s focused, disciplined, and kind of figuring herself out at the same time—especially when it comes to relationships and stepping out of her comfort zone. For me, her character arc felt relatable in that “senior year, everything is changing” kind of way.
Grayson, on the other hand, is very much the classic college bad boy at first, but I appreciated that there’s more going on underneath. As the story goes on, you start to see layers to him beyond the carefree, cocky exterior, and that’s when I really started to warm up to him.
The romance itself leans more on the fun/spicy side, but there’s still a nice emotional thread running through it. I liked how their relationship develops from irritation to something softer—it didn’t feel rushed, but it also kept a steady pace that made it easy to binge.
That said, the story is pretty trope-heavy (hate-to-love, brother’s best friend, college athletes), so if you’re looking for something super unique or plot-driven, this might feel a bit familiar. But honestly, for me, it worked because it knew exactly what it wanted to be—a light, swoony, slightly dramatic college romance.
Overall, I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected. It’s the kind of book I’d recommend if you just want something entertaining, a little steamy, and easy to get through in a couple of sittings.

Here we have Grayson (MMC) who plays baseball and Selena (FMC) who plays soccer as they both attend Tower Lake University. Things start off as they 'hate' each other for what happened freshman year at party and now during senior year, tension starts to pick up between them as they seem to be seeing more of each other around campus. Both of them come from two different backgrounds and have a fair idea of where they'll end up doing after college - or so they thought?!
The more time that they spend with each other, the more they feel comfortable and begin to 'fake-date'. That line is slowly blurred and ends up in flames when Selena has the courage to ask Grayson to be her first time. There's a shift between them and we go from fake-dating to wanting more of each other but nothing official. During spring, feelings slowly started to get involved and they end up dating towards the end of their senior year. Both Selena and Grayson stood up for what they both wanted career wise and together as one.
Now, I did enjoy this book for it being a fake dating, sports romance and brother's best friend. This could just be me-but I did notice a tiny bit of repetition when it came to rewording things throughout the book, and I felt as if the ending was a bit rushed. Like I said could just be me, but overall this was a good read!! Getting to see all the characters in the book especially Jess!!
