Inheriting Evergreen
Kristy Miller inherits the bulk of her aunt's multi-million-dollar estate, including her mountain home, Evergreen, a renovated one-hundred-year-old mansion. Kristy soon discovers that Aunt Leslie kept a few secrets from her family, not the least of which is how she earned her fortune. Another of her aunt's secrets leads Kristy to the charming but stubborn Drew Stone. Each of Drew's young sons received a large inheritance from Aunt Leslie. Mr. Stone refuses the inheritance, claiming to have no connection to Kristy's aunt. The third secret might be the biggest one of Is Evergreen haunted by the ghosts of its original owners?

Cozy quick read
This novella is a great blend of mystery, paranormal, and romance. It is the kind of book to be read in a comfy chair, next to a fireplace, on a lazy weekend. I hope the author will write a sequel.

One of the things that emerged as a result of the ever-growing Speculative Fiction market, is a tendency toward heavy paranormal events. A Fantasy novel will certainly be filled with magic from beginning to end. A ghost story will have you looking behind your shoulder every minute.
This book manages to suggest paranormal activity. At the end, one can still make a case of the characters seeing things. This is a fresh take on the genre, and I loved it.
The family dynamics were dramatic without becoming overwhelming. I don’t know if this is a spoiler or not, but I liked the response from the publisher. Having our main character suddenly become a best selling author without experience, in addition to what she is doing is exactly what I expected. I therefore liked the more realistic take on this.
While this was not a page turner, it was a short and comfortable read. This is the kind of book you take on a three to four hours flight.
The resolution was perfect. Again, it was not what I expected. Ghost stories usually end with the reveal of a horrific murder, etc. I won’t say how it ended, but I liked the ending.
I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series, and maybe even more books from this author.

Sweet story
Relatable characters, excellent plot, well written and a bit of paranormal. Loved it and can't wait to read the next.

This was a charming cozy read, knocked it out in a day and enjoyed every minute of it. Maybe a little predictable, but very enjoyable.

"Captivating"
I spent an afternoon in the garden reading this novella and although the sun disappeared behind the clouds, I was still pleasantly warm.
'Inheriting Evergreen' is that kind of story.
L.K.Campbell is an accomplished cook, who mixes good measures of mystery and suspense with a hint of ghostly goings' on. When you sit down to this little feast I think you will feel warm inside too. Go on; have a taste.
