Siobhan, Carter, and Jake throw a town picnic, and officially announce their father’s death to everyone, and make it know they are the ones in charge. Nathan and Brody are up to no good as Nathan takes Chloe away for the weekend. While Chloe survives their brutality, Siobhan sets one hell of an example with them. She shows them all, she’s not playing around, she means business. Those who thought she was just a little lost girl, that daddy broke, quickly learn she’s out for revenge. The first Fantasy Getaway takes place. Will this be the solution they hoped it would be? Siobhan learns that having power comes with a price, and that price means you aren’t always the one in control.
The seventh book in the Living in Weedleton series starts out with a sweet picnic. Just kidding, it’s sort of a coming out party to show the town that it’s not being run by daddy dearest anymore. Siobhan and the clan have big plans. The revenge plots are taking shape and the spice is intense. If you are one that wants your pearls to choke you, this is the series for you!!.

After years of surviving the worst her father could do, Siobhan Romano doesn’t just bury him—she replaces him. As the new head of the Romano family, she’s done being used, controlled, or silenced. But stepping into power means taking on the enemies he left behind, the trauma he caused, and the darkness she’s learned to live with. Siobhan and the people closest to her—broken, bonded, and not afraid to spill blood— have to navigate a world of dominance, revenge, loyalty, trauma, trust, and love that doesn’t always look like love. Her circle is made up of broken survivors—each carrying their own pasts, each finding strength through dominance, submission, and the blurred lines between intimacy and power. As buried truths come to light and revenge is dealt without apology, Siobhan fights to build something better from the wreckage. But healing doesn’t come easy when violence feels familiar, and desire is tangled up in control. A dark, raw, emotionally intense, unflinching erotic-horror romance about what happens when survival turns into leadership, pain becomes power, and reclaiming your life—on your own terms. While there are many intense and disturbing moments, its heart lies in the emotional complexity of its characters—how they survive, how they love, how they rage, and how they try to heal in a world where the rules are rewritten by those who’ve been broken by them. Take heed if you do have triggers - the "Living In Weedleton" series is Dark, with a capital D. Too many triggers to list them all, but throughout the series there will be non-con/dub-con, CNC, dark sexual content (BDSM, rough sex, degradation, kink, fetishes), power imbalances, violence, unaliving, vengeful actions, and more.
This book wastes no time showing Siobhan is not here to play nice. The picnic might look wholesome on the surface, but it’s basically a power announcement with side orders of intimidation and revenge. I liked how the pacing snapped between softer moments and pure chaos without feeling disjointed. Nathan and Brody’s stunt was disgusting, but watching Siobhan deal with it was one of the most satisfying parts. The writing leans into the grit without drowning every page in misery. There’s still tension brewing under every scene, making it clear this “control” thing is temporary at best. I’m hooked on how this series balances violence, heat, and character growth without sanding off the rough edges.
I thought this book was well written and I couldn't put it down and Heather Renee did it again and I can't wait to read more. This is the seventh book in this series. I recommend this book.

Now they show them who's in control and running this empire. I'm invested in Siobhan's journey and this crazy town. Finally, they get to announce Tony's death. Siobhan once again has to lay down the law and make an example out of two. More intense twists ahead.
Book seven in the Living In Weedleton series Devoured this book! What a ride! I live a revenge plot! Siobhan and the ones closest to her are trying to build something better than what was left them. Love this series!
