I really enjoyed the first 200 pages of this book. I’d rate them 3-4 stars. In my opinion, this should be two different books, both having great potential. I’d really enjoy finding out what happens to the two women in the “now” and final decades of their lives, as they age together as friends; helping each other heal from their past traumas. I’d also be interested in reading a different book, reshaped from the last 150(ish) pages about the fae/witch war. Currently being one book though, for me, the world change was out of place and left me wanting for the original storyline.

I LOVED it, I couldn’t put it down. The story grabbed me right away and kept me hooked, always wondering what would happen next. I loved how each character’s unique arc unfolded—their individual paths really brought the plot to life and kept me invested. It’s a smart, engaging read for anyone who enjoys a good, character-driven story. Can’t wait for the next one in the series!

I got about 35% through and couldn’t continue. I was still waiting for the inciting incident. It wasn’t for me. The writing was beautiful and the characters were super engaging. It was emotional and heartbreaking and I wish I had the energy to continue
