When a young prince living in an Ancient Grecian world is exiled to a prison isle to keep him from assuming the throne, he unintentionally discovers a massive global conspiracy in this science-fiction fantasy mash-up.
Whether drawn from history or imagined in dystopian science fiction, stories rarely speak only of the past or the future—they speak to the present. Tales of history reveal who we were, while sci-fi warns of where we might be headed, both serving as cautionary mirrors. That idea lies at the heart of Outer Lands, the latest from Comixology Originals, which blends past and future in a strikingly original way.
What a surprise ending, loved everything about this book. Please tell me there are going to be more in this series. Love when two totally different times and cultures come together, kind of like alternate history. Don't take my word for it read this book and see what I'm talking about!!
25-57. I borrowed this graphic novel from Amazon Prime. Spectacular artistry. I was not sure if Isabella was in cahoots with her brother in taking over the kingdom. I wasn't sure if she was a bad guy reformed or good all along. This is not my genre. I did enjoy the art. I read this graphic novel to fulfill the Fall challenge.
Of course in the end, the women were the right ones and the best ones all along - the men were all evil and brutish. Classic modern Western work undermining the fabric of society, yay!!
The storyline kept me hooked, especially as I followed the character development to understand who they truly were. It also powerfully demonstrated how placing power in the wrong hands can lead to the breakdown of a government.
