The Academy thought stealing me would break Pack Ironwood. They were wrong. It broke me instead.
Locked in the sterile hell of my past, I can still feel Finn’s blood on my hands. The heart of our pack—gone. And if the pack survived, if they’re out there…they won’t come for me.
Why would they? I destroyed everything.
Now, the Academy wants to own me. Control me. Breed me. But they don’t know what they’ve captured.
They’ve never seen an omega with nothing left to lose.
My heat is coming, violent and inevitable. But it won’t make me soft. It won’t make me pliant. It will tear me apart, unleash something feral—something unstoppable.
And maybe, just maybe…the pack I love will be just as ruthless.
Because Pack Ironwood isn’t whole without me. And I was never meant to be caged.
Knot Part Two is a brutal, emotional conclusion to Hailey’s journey—a reverse harem omegaverse romance where love and fury collide. When an omega pushed too far finally pushes back, the Academy will learn the hard the most dangerous creature isn’t the alpha, but the omega who has lost it all.
HEA guaranteed.
[Includes: captivity, violence, trauma, intense heat scenes, institutional abuse, and a feral omega ready to burn the world down.]
DNF @ 50% - I just couldn't take any more. This duet could have been done in one book that was shorter than either one of them individually. Story had potential but it just kept going and going and.....going
I enjoyed the first half of book one and was discouraged by unnecessarily dumb decisions which led to the cliffhanger. Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off. I was happy to get a Ren's backstory. Finn's anguish in book one was visceral. Without spoilers, I don't think his story received the resolution he deserved. Book 2 focused on detective/mystery solving than the relationships. Tbh I became more interested in pack Hargrove and Vi than anything else. I think maybe book 1 was too long so it made book 2 drag
Everything gets wrapped up but this book fell short of potential for me. Both books suffer from too many repeated phrases and being far longer than they need to be.
Finn did not get the groveling he deserves, not even a little bit. Stone’s personality was bland and lost in this book compared to book one. Ren was the real star in this 🥰. To be quite honest, I think I would’ve liked this more if the FMC wasn’t even in it and it was all MMC’s because all of their personalities, and pack dynamics, were more interesting and had more depth.
Also, this is NOT a plus size omega of any kind. This is not even a slightly chubby omega. This is a “narrow waisted, wide hips” omega. I got very tired of the forced “pig” references because they so clearly did not align with the FMC’s description. That entire portion could be scrapped easily.
I devoured the first book because the plot was somewhat unique, had potential, and the way the trauma history between the Ironwood pack boys was being handled better than most omegaverse books. It just didn’t follow through to this duet conclusion unfortunately.
Would absolutely read more from this author, I assume the Ashgrove and Vi are coming next 🤭
This duet was such a surprise delight to read! I have to admit, the whole pack was driving me crazy especially in part 1 (other than Finn) because of how they were mishandling things not only with Hailey but with Finn and even each other. Ren grew on me a lot in part 2 but there were times even in part 2 where I just wanted to shake him because he kept getting in his head and as a result was being too distant over and over. There were so many twists and turns and I will say, this is one of the most action-packed reads I've read in a long time. If I recall correctly, the first 200 or so pages are action and suspense. It felt almost like reading a fantasy novel. Admittedly, action like that in books is not generally my thing and I do agree this book probably could have had slightly less of it and it still would have been just as amazing. Even so, I did thoroughly enjoy all the ways it all came together and all of it brought Ren more into the fold. He was pretty absent in part 1 so it was great to see so much more of his POV in part 2 and learn his story.
Finn makes this duet a huge winner for me. And his relationship with Hailey. He is my favorite male omega I've ever read and the omega/omega trope is my favorite OV trope so that's saying a lot. All of the angst (and there is enough angst to give any teenager a run for their money) in this duet, all of the action, the spice, the romance and tender moments, the way Hailey came into her own (largely because of Finn but also because of Stone, Jax, and Ren), and the sweet tender every-day moments make this duet truly a favorite read of mine. I love Hailey and her character arc is one I am so proud of because it can be rare to see a FMC develop and grow as much as she did and also not be annoying.
There are about 1200 pages combined between part 1 and 2 and I loved the longer length. In fact, I could have had part 2 be even longer and been even more happy because I wanted so much more of this pack! I would love to see a novella or something giving us a drama-free update on their lives that's based 1-3 years after the end of part 2. If it wasn't obvious by my novel of a review by now, yes I HIGHLY recommend this amazing duet from Tessa Rain! And I cannot wait to read Vi's story next!!!! Just be warned that once you start, you will need to call in work or something because you will not want to stop lol
This is the second book of the Pack Salvation duet, a dark why choose omegaverse where the FMC has escaped six years at a “reform academy.” I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own.
Tropes and themes include: ✨Dark omegaverse ✨Why choose (MMMFM) ✨Heats and knots ✨Mate bonds ✨Two omegas ✨Scent matches ✨Past trauma ✨Hurt/comfort ✨Mental health representation ✨Curvy FMC ✨Established pack ✨”Breathe with me”
The Lovely: I loved this conclusion to the first duet of the series. After a massive cliff of an ending in part one, I was on edge about how that be resolved. And boy was I still on the edge of my seat until it was. I loved how that progressed and how it impacted the FMC’s relationships within the pack. This pack is (still) messy and hurting but their love for each other as they learn to heal is absolutely beautiful.
Also Lovely: I also loved how the focus wasn’t *only* on the FMC’s past trauma but the struggles of the MMCs relating to their pasts as well. I think it was impactful to see one male alpha in particular learn to accept help from the other alphas as well.
Recommendation: That re-read of book one was totally worth it to get re-immersed back in this world with these characters. It sounds like the next duet in this series will focus on an Omega and a pack we meet briefly in this duet and I for one cannot wait. If you like emotionally charged dark Omegaverse with MMCs that would burn the world for the FMC, I think you would like this duet.
I absolutely loved the conclusion to Hailey's and her mates' story. It tied up every loose end I could even think of and ones I didn't consider! The pacing of everything was just right, the action scenes during the rescue was done really well and so proud of how far Hailey has come from where she was in book one! The story kept me gripped, left me satisfied and excited for Vi's and the Ashgroves future book!
Hailey's character development was so well done over this duet and so happy at how strong she has become in the end. Finn's relationship with Jax, Ren and Stone has slowly got repaired once all the truths were out in the air and through the small gestures to repair that divide. Ren's character development is also really well done, you can feel his self guilt over family ties and how it played a part in both of his omegas' past and trauma. Jax's and Stone's willingness to compromise on their protectiveness is definitely a step in the right direction to show they are willing to be what their omegas need and not make the decisions for them without their say anymore.
I can't recommend this duet enough and if you were waiting or on the fence, definitely get it! Excited for Tessa Rain's next work with Vi's story!
I absolutely loved this conclusion to Hailey and Pack Ironwood’s story! There were loose ends addressed that I didn’t even think of!
Hailey has been re-taken by the reform academy, leaving a bleeding Finn behind her. She is convinced that even if Pack Ironwood realize she’s missing, they won’t want her and will blame her for getting Finn hurt. Once Finn wakes up though, Pack Ironwood’s immediate mission is to find Hailey and get her back. They will do whatever it takes to make their pack whole even if it means being cold and ruthless.
This story was an emotional roller coaster! There were so many twists and turns with Hailey’s past. I loved that we got more insight into Ren’s past and the incident that broke the pack apart. It was also really awesome to see how the entire pack could come together to help each other heal. I appreciated that different people had different reactions to the trauma. I felt like it was a good depiction of how the same event can affect people in such varied ways. I can’t wait for the next book in this world!
This duet made me cry, laugh, love the characters, and even heal a small part of myself. The troubles that Hailey went through might not be my personal experience, but these issues are real, and rn some people are living through them. So this duet is not only an omegaverse but a reflection of a f. Up part of this world that is really real.
The emotional healing all the characters went through was not only appropriated, but their traumas and scars were real too. I could identify some insecurities of myself in this book, but the words and reassurance of the alphas and the omegas made me realize that those insecurities in myself were also allowed to heal.
I loved this duet, and I can't wait to read more about Vi and her future Alphas! ♡
So I'm not going to go into great details on the story itself. I have to say that I love authors who are authentic when it comes to how victims of traumatic experiences respond. That they aren't suddenly better just because they found their pack or are free. This duet is the 1st I've read by this author but I'll be looking for more. Was extremely well written as far as characters, storyline, world-building, and spice goes. I know some people shy away from longer books - I am actually someone who prefers them as they allow the author more time to elaborate. Sometimes it's not done well and there is a lot of wasted space. I did not feel that to be the case with this duet at all. I hope there isn't a long wait for the next book as I'm looking forward to it!
The final book in the Knot Unwanted duet finishes the story of Hailey, Jax, Stone, Ren, and Finn, the Ironwood pack. The first ends in a cliffhanger of Hailey being taken by Heath to ready for the alpha that bought her. But with the help of her pack, she is able to make it back to home. This part of the duet focuses on the trafficking aspect of the story versus the individuals. One think I was a little disappointed by was the lack of information about anxiety as it regards PTSD, especially with Jax, but it didn't take much away from the story. We have our happily ever after and the bad guys of course meet their just rewards. Good story.
The MMCs are still the worst harem of all time (besides Finn).
The first book the alpha MMCs had all but rejected her to her face, and in the second no apologies.
For Hailey to be their rare true mate, which are supposed to revered, I did not feel a true connection. Something tells me she was used to recreate the bond between the alphas and Finn.
I felt there was no one-on-one connect with her and the alphas.
They say they would "burn the world down" for her but to tell her they "love her" nope.
She gets kidnapped and traumatized, Finn gets a herb garden. But they do get a nest to all share.
I still see her as the second fiddle to Finns story. I don't know why it is classed as a reverse harem.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
There is a fine line between too much spice and just the right amount. This is too much.
At the end of every chapter (almost) past the 50% mark, it’s spice🤦♀️
Everyone said the first book seemed repetitive, but I thought this one seemed repetitive. Yes, there are parts that picked up and had my attention. However, I found myself skimming 90% of the time.
It’s a solid conclusion and I’m (for once) satisfied with the ending.
I wish there was more contention with the MMCs. I feel like there was too many and we only followed/really knew Ren and Finn
I like the author’s writing style and the storyline. I wanted to give this book 5 stars, I just can’t. For me, it dragged. Too much inner monologue that was repetitive. Halfway through the book, should have been where the book ended but the author stretched it out. The spice was even repetitive and that should not happen when there are that many partners. The characters were not really as developed. Like, what did they really do for work besides own gyms? They acted like they owned a security company and people treated them like they did. I was more interested in Vi and her mates book, to be honest.
Let me say REN surprised me in this book he has now become my fav along with fin but wow what a way to break through and finally start being the Alpha he was always ment to be, Hailey also found herself she’s not that helpless broken omega anymore she has found herself and is ready to fight back, the growth of this pack was everyyyyything. I can’t wait for Vi story and I so feel like the Ashgrave pack is hers but can’t wait to see.
It amazes me that this is only Tessa’s second book.
I loved everything about this duet. The character evolution was so through. There was a great balance of action and “action” (if you know what I mean.)
It tied up all of the loose ends in a thoughtful and unforced way. There was no ridiculous ending or plot line what made me roll my eyes.
Overall an amazing ending to a great duet. Very very well done.
Another book stuffed with action and a plot line to boot! I really loved this conclusion and watching how things progressed and everything wasn’t quickly fixed and wrapped up in a bow but took time and growth. Sometimes you find longer books that seem to overly stretch stories but this is not one of those. Each page is thought out and really delivers without the story feeling like it is being dragged.
I was so excited to see this Arc in my email. I really wanted to know what happened!! this was a really good read! the pack was still really sweet with the omegas given everything that happened to them but this book had a lot darker moments than the first one. I really enjoyed watching all of the characters grow and adjust to everything that happened. I highly recommend it!
I LOVED THIS DUET! The cliffhanger ending in part one left me in a tizzy, but holy guacamole did I inhale part two! I love the strength and resilience of this pack. If you haven't read part one, I 10000% recommend it. It does have some dark themes, so check your TWs if you have anything you might struggle with. Otherwise, get to reading!
I read both books in two days.! The first a love story that brought people who were lost together. The second one was the one that made you think what kinds of love there are sweet, caring, protective and safe. The love was shared by all, into the one that saved the them all
I loved every minute of this duet! Hailey has a heartbreaking yet warming story all at the same time. I loved watching her grow from the meek, scared omega to one that has taken back her life and isn't scared to take up for herself and the ones she loves.
Absolutely incredible duet, dark, delicious, raw and beautiful.
When you find yourself broken and unwanted, a chance of freedom that you take and find a pack that is also broken. Your the missing piece and through the bad guys and the nightmares, they build a family from the bottom up. A journey that hasn’t been easy but what a journey it’s been.
I can’t believe it’s over. This two-part series was worth everything and more. I knew that other couple was going to be next, and I cannot wait! I’m seriously hoping that fiery girl with the purple hair pulls a move like the FMC did here—we love strong female leads who fight for their happiness. A must-read series!!!
I have no words to express how this series captured my interest. Strong characters, emotional situations, great pacing and the list goes on. From start to finish this book is five stars! The spice was nice too BUT the spicy scenes fit into the story and enhanced it. Loved it! I hope we get to read something about Vi, the lost omega.
This has been a terrible read for me. I left it alone for weeks only to try again and still put it back down. I should have dnf but don’t like to. Especially with the ridiculous third act. I almost never say this but there was way too sex thrown in. I scanned through large chunks of this book, especially after the 50% mark.
I fell so in love with this pack. Every single one of them is amazing. The journey that they all had to go through to end up where they are is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I love the ending about the glimpse into the next set. Only one thing that I might have missed. Did they rebond with F? I really hope so.
The book was good, but it felt stretched throughout the story, like adding fillers so the book is long enough? I don't know if I'm making myself clear, I mean, filling scenes with spicy content just for the sake of adding pages, also spicy scenes where it felt odd... Like... I'm going with some trauma so I need sex...
This picks up right where book one left off. The first half of the book is intense! Hailey and Finn are just perfect together. I appreciated how everyone’s trauma and fears were addressed, including new fears that pop up due to events within the plot. Looking forward to Vi's story.
4.5 Honestly a great OM duet! It was long but honestly I preferred it that way because it gave enough time for relationships and trust to build. This had like all the OM tropes that I love so it really checked a lot of boxes for me.
MMMMF Hurt/comfort Two omegas 🥰 Scent matches Angst
Loved the twists and turns of the story. The strength that becomes apparent in each character. How the pack matures and becomes a whole family, in every sense of the word. Looking forward to your next book.
