Whispers of Water, Book Two
Elara, a military deserter and elementalist, has two goals: uncover the truth about her father’s disappearance and bring down the ruthless Leader Suprema. One might offer closure, but the other will change the life of millions of people for the better.
Torn between her healer’s heart and a lethal mission, Elara must decide how far she’s willing to go—and which lines she refuses to cross.

Book 2 continues with Elara aiding the resistance to overthrow the Leader Suprema. The suspense builds as she has to go undercover. I loved her competency of using water to protect and to destroy. There are some real creepy people and she has to do things she does not like to complete her mission. The ending was crazy. I can’t give spoilers but I was screaming inside my head as things don’t go smoothly. I am not surprised what Elara decides to do on the last page. Yep, there’s a hook for the next book. I hope there is a next book. The story would have been perfect if she could give Momo a big hug and scratch behind the ears. She needed a hug.

This book held my attention the whole time, and left me wanting more (even wanting to go back and read the first book)! The characters tugged at my heart strings. I felt immersed throughout the entire story! I loved the fact that healing and crystals was involved; it drew me in and made the storyline more believable. I honestly couldn’t put it down, and stayed up later than usual just to get all the chapters in so I could see how the heist ended. Make sure to add this to your TBR!

I was hoping that in this book a lot more lore would be explored; who are the first men, what kind of powers are there exactly, etc.
Instead it is only the story set in this world. And I think it's a fine story, but personally I would've enjoyed it better with more world building. I was slightly surprised by the ending of the book, but I think it was well done and I liked it.

Elara finds the Resistance she has been searching for, it's not quite what she imagined. A fantastic follow up to Whispers of Water Book One. Beautifully written, great world building and a real roller coaster of emotions. Definitely one of my favourite books this year.
