Christian De Vil ruined my life. I intend to demolish his.
Six months of meticulous planning led me right into the lion’s den. My the charming and powerful third son of the De Vil Dynasty. Oh, he plays a good game, but I know what lurks beneath his dangerously smooth exterior. A killer. The man responsible for my parents' deaths.
My strategy is get close, uncover the truth, and expose him for the liar he is. But when his father announces he’s about to choose a bride, my window for revenge slams shut.
Unless I become the perfect choice.
To Christian, it’s a marriage of convenience. To me, it’s a way in, a chance to gather my evidence and disappear before he realizes the woman sharing his bed is plotting his downfall. This family doesn’t forgive betrayal—they bury it. One slip and I’ll lose my chance at justice and join my parents in their grave.
Except the closer I get, the more secrets I uncover. With each touch, each lingering look, the lines between vengeance and desire blur.
Christian isn't the monster I thought he was. And if I'm not careful, I'll betray my family, my mission, and my heart by falling for the man I've sworn to destroy.
Tracie Delaney writes billionaire romance where the men fall hard and the women make them work for it. Even though she has more than 35 novels published across many different series, Tracie still considers herself a reader first and foremost and loves fangirling over her favorite authors.
At night she likes to curl up on the sofa with her two furbabies, Murphy & Cooper, and binge-watch shows on Netflix. There may be wine involved.
OK, we need to talk about that ending, holy crap IM SO SCARED FOR THE NEXT BOOK
I was a little skeptical to read this one, after not liking book 2, BUT I actually really liked this one!
I loved their chemistry, but I feel like they didn't really get many cute moments until near the end -fmc's constant uncertainty of whether or not she should tell him her secret got annoying after a while -didn't care for the insta lust -i feel like some parts were a little rushed, especially since this book technically takes place over a few months.. but didn't really feel like it ( if that makes sense)
Besides its shortcomings, this is my favourite book in the series so far, and I can't wait for book 4!!
rtc!!

Thank you for the ARC, Tracie! _________________________________ The Devil's Pawn | Review The Devil's Torment | Review The Devil's Deceit | Review
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the plot however I did not feel the connection between Christian and Grace. I wanted them to have more moments together.
I couldn’t possibly believe the “Devil’s Deceit” would follow “The Devil’s Torment” in becoming my 5* read this year, because we all know Victoria is my girl, but Grace was amazing!
Grace and Christian were incredible together, their chemistry was perfect, and Grace is a really good FMC hero! She wants revenge on the person she believes is responsible for the death of her parents: Christian De Vil.
Christian lives tormented by the death of a couple who had worked for him, he only knows they left two offspring but never saw them, so he has no idea Grace is her daughter. When Grace and Christian met, their banter was really good. Grace knows how to get under his skin, she’s genuine, and he can feel how good she makes him feel. Christian, on the other hand, is nothing like Grace was expecting him to be. He’s kind, soft with her and disarms all her walls.
Christian is the third De Vil brother, and he tries his best to live up to his brother’s expectations of him. He tries to make sure his family doesn’t him as the lesser brother, and I have to admit I really enjoyed him. Nicholas and Victoria were my couple from the beginning, I could sense their story was going to be incredible, but Christian and Grace were so open and honest about their relationship and expectations from the start.
Grace knows that De Vils do not divorce and even that way, she goes on with their plan because she wants to find out what happened to her parents. I don’t want to say that she sacrifices herself because she is aware of everything she does, but she has a plan for everything and she accepts every consequence of her actions. Grace doesn’t expect things to be solved as per miracle, she goes and fights and makes up plans to survive and live with what little she has. She calls out Christian a lot for being out of depth with reality, because he is, and he likes her for that. She calls him out without being rude but because he has no idea how hard life is for some people, and I loved that Christian had no issue with being with Grace to help her with money. Money to him is nothing, but having Grace in his arms means everything.
The “Devil’s Deceit” is all the feelings, and it will make you root for Grace throughout the book. You cannot help but feel like she deserves the world for everything she has been through. Christian will be the perfect book boyfriend, he adores Grace, and it’s lovely how jealous he gets when she reminds him of his marriage of convenience being just that! The banter between brothers is also getting really good. I loved that we got to see Vic and Imogen once again, especially Vic, she kept that fire, and it’s always a delight to see her again. I really want to read Tobia’s book. That epilogue was insane and an amazing way to hook your readers to the next book!
Grace is heartbroken, drowning in grief and full of anger. She believes that Christian De Vil has to do with the death of her parents. She is enraged that the De Vil family always gets away with everything because they are powerful. She will do anything she can to make them pay so she starts to form a plan. Her sights are set on Christian who she believes is solely responsible and decides to get close to him. She wants to uncover the truth and then confront and expose him. However, Christian needs to get married, and she sees this as an opportunity to gain access to his secrets. Once she’s married, she will have all the resources she needs to find out what really happened. However, she is starting to feel something for Christian and it’s confusing her and making her feel guilty. Will she continue with her plan or will she give into her feelings?
Christian De Vil has always had the weight of the world on his shoulders. He doesn’t think he’s as smart enough or brilliant enough as his siblings so the collapse of his building is really taking a toll on him. He’s consumed with guilt, even though he’s not at fault because two lives were claimed. He wishes he could do something to make it better, but he keeps pretending everything’s okay. The night he meets Grace, he is instantly attracted to her and wants to pursue her. He know his time will come when he hast to get married and it’s perfect for him when Grace is the one chosen. He can’t believe how lucky he is and believes she’s the perfect woman. What will happen when he finds out he’s been played?
Tracie Delaney kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt bad for Grace. She was battling with her conscience about whether she should tell Christian. They had amazing chemistry, so it was harder for her to hate him. I also felt bad for Christian. The way he was feeling and the guilt that was eating at him even though it wasn’t his fault. Their banter was hilarious and their scenes were really spicy. This story was filled with action, heat, drama, and shocking twists. The cliffhanger that leads us into the next De Vil’s brother left me shocked. I can’t wait.
Just started reading it today, and I already dislike the fact that the author stated that she thought no one would like Grace. Why write a character in a romance that you think readers will dislike? And I don't care about what the ARC reviews say, because the reviewers have an incentive to lie. All you've done by putting that note in is make me want to see how bad Grace actually is.
I started skimming after 22% and stopped at 78%. And yes, Grace is definitely a stupid person. Her uncle and her brother are basically telling her that revenge is more important than her life. Even her "best friend" is telling Grace that once she is exposed or exposes Christian, she will have to be on the run. So of course Grace will think she has to do what is expected of her. What I don't understand is why she never thought if this is truly what her parents would want for their daughter.
Where I did lose all respect for Grace is when she finds documents indicating there was a change in the evidence but doesn't bother to read all of it. Did her parents even raise her to think for herself? All I can imagine is if your parents were good, loving, and supportive, any of their children would know that their parents would want them safe and happy over being avenged.
And you cannot tell me that Grace's family created a background so thorough that a billionaire could not uncover it but they couldn't hack into a computer or phone (of not just the family but also the investigating authority). Or that if a company can literally get away with murder, why would you not be at least fearful for your own life and that of your family. Furthermore, tell me why wrongful death is not an option. Also explain why a billionaire would risk his own reputation and company to protect two people. Forget even being rich; no one would do that for strangers.
Why do I, as the reader, have to do the thinking for these idiots?
I was on edge the whole time!!! Grace is a boss! So brave! Christian just won the top brother spot. I couldn’t love him more! He gives her the perfect nickname and I’m here for it!
Please read books 1 & 2 before this one. I promise it makes the story so much better.
Christian feels like two deaths are on his hands. The two people who died when the building he was in charge of crumbled. Through investigation it was found that the two people were skimming off the top and using materials that weren’t right which caused the collapse. He still feels responsible because he thinks he should have caught their scheme. He has the report doctored so their adult kids won’t find out. This however puts a target on his back by their family because they think he covered up his actions.
Grace has been feed venom by her uncle and she thinks the plan they hatched is right. She has surgery to slightly modify her features so she can infiltrate the De Vil family and find the truth. She wants Christian exposed and charged. Grace manages to catch his eye and they work out an arrangement. I’ll stop there so you can take the adventure but it’s crazy good. I was so worried Grace would get caught the whole time.
The De Vil family is great. I still love Vicky the most but I’ll be darned if Christian hasn’t moved to the top brother stop.
Now let’s talk about book 4 because we can tell from the last chapter it’s going to be Tobias’s book and what a start!! Cannot wait to see how that plays out.
Tracie Delaney’s third installment in the De Vil Dynasty series hooked me from the first chapter. This time we follow Christian De Vil, the architect brother of the powerful De Vil family. A dynasty built on wealth, prestige, and impossible expectations. When one of Christian’s buildings collapses, killing the two lead members of his project, it destroys both his confidence and reputation. What he doesn’t know is that Grace, the daughter of those victims is coming for him. Grieving and furious, she reinvents herself 🎭 new look, new name, new mission with the sole purpose to infiltrate his world and expose him. But the man she meets isn’t who she expected. Christian is thoughtful, generous, and quietly broken. The chemistry between them is magnetic 🔥 full of tension, longing, and those emotional beats that make you hold your breath. And the arranged marriage twist? Totally unexpected. Grace sees it as her chance to uncover the truth, while Christian sees it as a win-win in performing his duty and maybe a chance for something real. The ending was a rollercoaster of emotions. When secrets and betrayals finally come out, both our main characters are shattered. What hit me the most was the healing, Christian opening up to his family, Grace finding peace and the two of them learning to forgive and love despite everything. This book had me crying, holding my breath, and completely entranced. Tracie Delaney delivered a story full of passion, heartbreak, and redemption.
Back with the De Vil family and Christian the third son of the dynasty. As 3rd in line Christian feels a failure, compared with his brothers and his input to the family business lacking. He has covered up a tragedy he feels was his mistake to avoid giving his father reason to see his failings. Grace, grief stricken by her parents death she blames Christian and along with her own brother determines to find the truth. So begins a dance of deceit, a new identity, a marriage of convenience that suits both Grace and Christian, truth and lies that get so wound up in each other the final goal becomes less and less visible. As our couple spend more time with each other and the reasons they got married become less important, they both need to find the courage to admit they both have hidden agendas before it all blows up in their faces. Add to the mix an Uncle being hunted by the Family and a relative of Grace who decides they are tired of waiting for the truth and we have an explosive story that may well destroy them all. As always Tracie has given us characters that are so easy to dislike, for awhile at least, a woman who on the face of it is weak but has a backbone of steel and a story that has plenty of twists and turns keeping you trapped within the pages right up to the end. Another epic read from our girl, go and grab the De Vil series and meet the rest of the family as well.
The Devils Dynasty is the third book in the De Vil Dynasty series. It can be read as a standalone but I think it follows better if you read the others first. This book features Christian De Vil and Grace. He is another De Vil brother and he's an architect. One of his buildings collapses killing 2 workers who happen to be Grace's parents but Christian doesn't know that. They are both affected by this, Christian's confidence drops and is trying to keep it all secret so he doesn't disappoint his family. Grace wants revenge against Christian for her parents. She changes her name and has surgery so she won't be recognised and makes a play for Christian to reel him in to make him pay. The only trouble is while trying to infiltrate his world and trying to expose him she falls for him and doesn't believe he is responsible for her parents death but her uncle and brother keep pushing her to carry on.
The chemistry between theses two is full on energy. I loved these characters, watching Grace struggle between wanting him and wanting revenge was heartbreaking. Also seeing Christian consumed with guilt, even though he’s not at fault and thinking he's not up to the same standards as his family was also heartbreaking. Their banter was funny and together they heal each other. This story is full of passion, heartbreak, drama and twists. It’s a fantastic read and that cliffhanger leading into book 4 wow. Can't wait for the next book.
I finished reading it and devoured it. I love the storyline. It's the third installment in the De Vil Empire, and it's about Christian. He's just as soft on the woman he ultimately loves as his two brothers, Alexander and Nicholas. Grace takes very unusual paths to learn how her parents died. Her elaborate plan, with help from her friend, her brother, and her uncle, encounters obstacles when emotions suddenly come into play. The typical characteristics of a good storyline, such as emotions, suspense, banter, smut, and plot, lead to a great read. I deducted half a star because I would have liked to have seen more interactions between Grace and Christian. The reference to Book 4 (Tobias) is breathtaking. As for the overarching plot, I now think Alice is responsible for the kidnapping of Alexander and his sister and the murder of their mother. I think she already knew George before. (Just my personal opinion, no spoiler...) HEA No cheating or sharing ⭐️ 4.5/5 🌶 3/5
This book concentrates on Christian De Vil and I loved it. Christian is hiding a secret about the building collapse and is determined that his family never finds out what really happened. Feeling a failure he finds himself attracted to Lady Grace Ambrose and the feeling is mutual. But Grace isn't who she says she is. She wants to find the evidence that Christian is responsible for the death of her parents when the building collapsed and has disguised herself, but as she spends more time with Christian her feelings for him grow stronger leaving her feeling conflicted. Secrets, though, have a way of coming out and they have consequences for both Christian and Grace. If they want their HEA, truth, forgiveness and love, may just get them what they really want, each other. A beautiful story where the emotions and feelings of both of them shine through each page. I love this family and their dynamics and despite everything they are there for each other. I can't wait for the next in the series after reading the ending of this book, it looks explosive.
To preface, I have adored this series from the beginning, and that feeling hasn’t changed. I still wholeheartedly love the De Vil siblings and their partners. Tracie has created something uniquely captivating and magnetic in this world of power, love, and passion. There’s something endlessly fascinating about this family who are richer than royalty; each sibling finding themselves in an arranged marriage with someone they would have never imagined falling for. I have loved Alexander’s and Nicholas’s stories, and I was genuinely excited for Christian’s book. I was eager to see how Grace, with her plan for revenge and her determination to destroy the man she blamed for her parents’ deaths, would become entangled in the De Vil web.
This setup held so much potential, and I was incredibly curious to see how it would all unfold. Of all the De Vil couples, Grace and Christian had the strongest foundation for a true enemies-to-lovers dynamic; perhaps even more than Nicholas and Victoria. Yet, despite that, I found it difficult to connect with Grace. She felt very conflicted, which made sense given her circumstances, but her internal struggle sometimes overshadowed the development of herself, as she was so easily impacted either by her brother and uncle, or her friend even.
Christian himself was quite different from his brothers. His approach to Grace felt more instantaneous, and very instantaneous lust. I really don’t know why, but I had struggled to feel the same spark between them that I had with the previous couples. Their chemistry felt a little restrained, as if something was missing.
Also, to bear in Grace went to rather extreme lengths by altering her appearance to secure her place as the chosen bride. Despite understanding her motivations, I still found their romance somewhat underwhelming, especially considering how emotionally charged their setup could have been. Her thirst for revenge on Christian and his family just almost felt secondary and was like put on a back burner.
From a plot perspective, I did question how such a powerful and influential family failed to uncover Grace’s deception sooner. Given their resources, and the extent Nicholas went to in his own story to uncover the truth about his wife who had supposedly died in a car explosion; it felt slightly implausible that Grace could evade their scrutiny so easily and for as long as she did.
That said, Tracie’s talent for weaving intrigue and suspense remains one of my favorite aspects of her writing, and this book was no exception. The tension, secrets, and revelations kept me engaged, even if I had a feeling something was amiss early on. When the truth was finally revealed, I wasn’t entirely surprised, but I still enjoyed the journey.
Overall, while Grace and Christian’s romance wasn’t my favorite of the series, I still found this an engaging and well-written addition to a world I’ve come to love. Tracie’s storytelling remains immersive, and I cannot wait to see what comes next for the De Vil family.
Pre-read October 2025: today is ARC day, and I just know, I’m going to inhale this as I have with the others, Christian and Grace I am coming for youuu!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Christian De Vil is the third brother in the De Vil family and he’s an architect. One of his buildings collapses and killing to members and it destroys his confidence. He is keeping this secret away from his family. His father holds a masked ball and he meets Grace. Grace’s parents have died and with the help of her Uncle and brother, they exact their revenge. They blame Christian and Grace captures Christian’s heart. She’s had plastic surgery to change her appearance but Christian has no idea who she is. Getting herself closer and closer to Christian, they both decide to get married. Christian’s family has a habit of arranged marriages and he wants to make his choice himself. The chemistry starts to build between the two. Grace still wants to know what happened to her parents but her heart is getting in the way.
Loved this book and I cannot wait for Tobias’s story.
Wow the third instalment from the series and was the brother I was most looking forward to, the glimpses of Christian in previous books just I don’t know made me want more … this book did not disappoint!
Christian and Grace’s story is amazing the banter between them is absolutely brilliant and had me with tears in my eyes more than once from laughter and emotion, both hide a secret, neither wants to hurt the other a new depth is seen to what we think is a superficial playboy at the start.
No spoilers but pieces of puzzles are put into place and some excellent cameos from characters in Tracie’s other worlds
10/10 this is another excellent book from Tracie each one in the series getting better and better
The Devil's Deceit is book 3 in The De Vil Dynasty series. This one is Christian and Grace's story. This story is one big rollercoaster of a ride! Grace and her family are seeking answers and she believes she'll get those answers from Christian De Vil. Nothing is as it seems and as the chain of events begin to unravel even more comes to light. This story is compelling and consuming and these characters are fantastic. I love Christian and Grace together. Let's not forget Arron and Juliet. Everyone needs a brother like Arron and a friend like Juliet. The Devil's Deceit is absolutely a must read!
Love Tracie Delaney writing and this series especially. Next one up is Christian.
Wow. This story has you changing your mind as to who is in the wrong. Or right.
Both Christian DeVil and Grace Taylor have secrets that they are hiding which once revealed can change their realities forever.
Grace wants to find out who was responsible for her parents death.
Christian is hiding the truth behind the collapse of his building that killed 2 people.
When they meet they are hiding their true self and present a version of themselves that still draws them to one another. Will this still be the case when all is revealed?
Another great read in this series, I really enjoyed it. No matter how far you’re determined to go to get revenge. Be careful what you wish for, as not all things are as they seem.
Just because your family appears to have it all doesn’t make it so. Christian is a prime example of how appearances can be deceptive, and this story does a good job of highlighting how one’s perceptions can take control of your life. The same as it has for Grace, though her motivators are ruled by grief. It’s a De Vil Dynasty story, and well worth adding to your TBR library.
I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Christian and Grace Billionnaire Marriage of convenience Hidden identity > revenge
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥🔥🔥
This book kept me enticed from the very beginning. I was constantly in turmoil. The pain and struggle Grace felt and was facing to find the truth. Christian being brought to his knees by the traitor in Grace. I kept wondering how is he going to find out!?
I may have liked to have some more small moments between them to really glue these two together before the truth came out. The call between these two and «Run» being his last words. Holy hell! Loved it!
Bonuses The sister-in-laws that bring reason Juliet is the friend of all friends The absolute pureness of Christian 🥰
The third instalment of the De Vil family and what a captivating book this was, this was my favourite couple so far. Christian feels like his family would be disappointed in him for what happened with the collapse of the building that killed two people so keeps it secret from everyone. Grace is out to solve why her parents died in the (so called, in her mind) accident anyway she can so organises with her brother to stage a meet hoping to catch his attention and get close.
This story was gripping as Grace wanted Christian to be a horrible self centred male but he was anything but and the more they spent together, she was having serious doubts about everything she thought she knew. I loved this couple it was a slow burn romance but the chemistry between them was hot!
We need to talk about that ending, WTH holy smokes i need to know what is going off with that cliff hanger, can't wait for Tobias's book now with how this book ended. 4.5 stars.
Tracie Delaney’s third De Vil Dynasty book had me hooked from page one. Christian De Vil’s world falls apart after a tragedy destroys his career, but Grace—the daughter of the victims—is out for revenge. She reinvents herself to take him down, only to find he’s not the man she expected.
Their chemistry is electric, the tension intense, and the arranged marriage twist? Brilliant. When the truth finally surfaces, it’s heartbreak, healing, and redemption all in one.
A powerful story about love, loss, and forgiveness.
4 ✨ The drama! I was clutching my kindle with white knuckles for half this book. It has such a different vibe than the others and I devoured it. Christian was sexy, and flirty, and just so likable - then enter Miss bombshell espionage herself, Grace. The stakes were at an all time high in this story which just gave it this sizzle that I loved. Tracie Delaney also has a gift, she writes brothers as individual people, which was refreshing and makes each story unique. I’ll be running, not waking, when the Tobias’s story releases.
Grace’s is seeking answers after the death of her parents and she believes the only one capable of giving her that is Christian DeVil. Christian is suffering with self doubt and a secret that he feels he can’t share with anyone. This book is full of twists and turns and is real must read.
Of course the other brothers make appearances along with our favourite guard of destiny!
The end sets us up for Tobias story and I literally can’t wait!
Oh where to start with Grace and Christian? Christian bribing high officials to cover up his mistakes and to keep it from his family Grace trying to find the truth about her parents death and getting revenge When revenge and cover ups turn into something more you get The Devils Deceit. Another amazing book in The De Vils Series and from the last chapter Tobias’ story is going to be just as amazing
Christian and Grace had a sizzling chemistry that Christian especially tried to fight! Watching his struggles was entertaining for sure! The stalker storyline was gripping and I had no idea of who it could be- I guess wrong!
The family dynamic in this series is great and I’m totally invested in them all! I can’t wait do Tobias’s story next!
A great romantic suspense with plenty of heat, suspense and family drama! Brilliant read.
What would i do for my family ? absolutely everything. Now what would i do if i believed someone killed not just my mum but my dad god help them.
Your probably thinking why I've made the above statement well that is what Grace our main character is going through she believes that Christian De Vil is responsible and she will get her answers no matter the cost.
Enter a moment of brilliant timing his dad is after a marriage of convivence now to convince him she is perfect.
it shows how conflicting the journey is for Grace and the chemistry between these two just so on fire. it took me on a journey. i Loved this series and i can't wait for the next one.
It’s not always a good thing to have relatives as both Grace and Christian discover in this delightful but slightly twisted romance when Grace tries to find the truth of her parents deaths and the secrets Christian is hiding. Absolutely loved Christian and Grace. Thoroughly enjoy this series and look forward to Tobias’s story.
Loved this one! Christian is refreshingly different from his brothers, and it completely shakes up the usual series formula. With sibling series, I often find myself spotting a plot template, but Tracie Delaney totally switched things up this time, and I was absolutely here for it. Christian's fall was first, fast, and hard, and honestly? That's the kind of romance I live for.
Oooooh the De Vil siblings are back. As always it’s full of twists and a love story.
Christian De Vil and Grace are the couple finding love this time. He needs a wife and she needs revenge against him. It reads a touch slow so make yourself keep reading. It will be worth it.
But, be advised, like the other books in this series….you’ll be left with a bit of a cliffhanger and wanting more.
Arc-Reader: I love this book. It was amazing because of the author's writing style and the incredible couple. I love how it was simple for them to fall in love and it wasn't the heart-shattering struggle but the heart-warming one. I can't wait to read Tobias' book and Tracie continue with your master pieces I can't wait to read them 🩶.
💭 No matter how you spin it there were some things Grace was doing that were a bit over the top. There were a few moments I caught myself skimming, but I’m glad I went back because I really enjoyed Christian. Yes, he’s in the mafia… but his morally gray nature came with the way it’s mixed with this dash of adoration and softness towards Grace. I was here for it.
