Beneath Montana Skies

Rate this book
In the untamed heart of Montana Territory, two souls from different worlds discover that the most breathtaking landscapes are found not only in nature, but in the journey toward each other's hearts.

When ambitious artist Lydia Hayes arrives in Bozeman with her sketchbook and a commission from National Geographic, she's determined to capture the raw beauty of the frontier. What she never expected was Joseph Calloway—a rugged, guarded rancher with a painful past who reluctantly agrees to be her guide. As they journey through Montana's spectacular wilderness, from sweeping valleys to sacred mountains, their initial friction transforms into a profound connection that challenges everything they thought they knew about themselves and their futures.

Amidst encounters with the displaced Blackfoot people, threats from unscrupulous settlers, and the harsh realities of frontier life, Lydia and Joseph discover that sometimes the most accurate portraits are those that capture not just landscapes, but the human heart. When ancestral wisdom from the Blackfoot elders reveals the true nature of their connection, Lydia must decide whether her life's canvas belongs in New York society or beneath Montana's expansive sky.

unusually interesting and heartwarming

An extremely interesting and heartwarming story. I could relate personally to several aspects of it.
However, I deeply appreciate modern conveniences like central heating and sufficient cold weather clothing.

Better and Better

So pleased to have found this delightful author. This book is so different in a good way. I learned so much about Montana. I was drawn to it as I loved the first book by her. She has such wisdom throughout the characters dialog and thought process. Noble and considerate H and strong delightful h. Satisfying scripture references in the best places. Clean read but romance too! You will be happy to make friends in these epic tales. Than you Vivian Belle keep them coming!!!

Loved the imagery of my beautiful Montana. Tried mapping the places described but not quite sure the exact locations. Loved the respect for Native American culture, for the land, and for scriptures. The writing style was not my favorite- uber polite, restating the same things over and over, etc.

Too predictable and sappy for me. Saw it through to the end and enjoyed learning about the Blackfeet tribe.
