Ethan and Eva hookup one night at a nightclub only to find out later on that Ethan is Eva's new boss. Both determined to put their hookup behind them, they continue on as if nothing happened. With their undeniable chemistry, that wasn't going to last long because soon they are sending secret messages to each other and hiding out in strange closets. Some drama comes up from Ethan's past that throws a wrench in things and Eva needs to figure how how she wants to deal with it.

If you're a fan of action in the first chapter and the ‘he takes care of her when she's sick’ subtrope, this one's for you! I loved the difference and family Eva had around her they were great side characters. I also loved how Ethan could see into Eva's office from his office. It built up a lot of tension between the two of them. The drama in this book that wasn't super easy to figure out, which I enjoyed. That usually isn't the case for me! Yet another great book from Samantha!

THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love action early on with spice and chemistry that doesn't fizzle out by the end.

✔ I absolutely love their first meet.
✔ I really felt bad for Ethan in a few places. He was a playboy but there were times it felt he was being used.
✔ I absolutely melted when Ethan took care of Eva. absolute awwww worthy moment.
✔ I liked Eva too. Confident and caring.
✔ I liked their chemistry and the way the story circulated around the other aspects of their lives too.

✔ Though I felt something was missing, I just can't pin-point what it was.

Samantha Baca has written a sweet fairytale about Garrett and Eva. They find themselves inside the same bar and something pulls to them from across the bar for a reason for drunken pleasure on a Friday night. Eva never expects to see this man again. Then weeks later on her first day at her new job she smells that man’s wicked cologne. Hears his tinkle of a laugh just out of reach for us mere short mortals. And his full of effervescence and light that he sounded like he might shoot rainbows out his ass. And. Eva. Is. Mortified!

But Not Ethan Parker. He was so put together, even when he wasn’t. And what I don’t realize is Ethan Parker IS carrying the weight of the world (well the whole company) on his shoulders without anyone to talk to. He instead turns to Eva for much more than comfort. It’s what he has always wanted but never dreamed of and isn’t even sure how to go about doing with destroying Eva or himself.

Breaking All The Rules is a sweet romance that you’re sure to love whether you’re already familiar with Samantha Baca’s work or not.

Eva was finally getting her life back after ending her relationship with her ex fiance after catching him with his secretary. Although starting her new job shouldn't feel the way it does when her new boss walks in and it's none other than the un-named one night encounter she had a few weeks ago. Ethan knew as soon as he saw her, but how can she be the new hire. This story covers quite a few subjects all compassionately and shows how things can easily be misinterpreted. The two main characters both have insecurities which cloud their minds and Eva is constantly in her own head over thinking everything. Samantha has written a compelling story that just keeps you reading and hoping for a good outcome. But not everything is as it seems and you just need to believe in the truth winning. This is a steamy read and with a few funny characters that I hope we may get to meet in other books

The beginning of this book is absolute fire! As in spicy hot. As in we get spice in the first chapter!!

Ethan and Eva are drawn together like magnets; from the first time they lay eyes on each other to realizing they will be working together and cannot possibly cross that line. But the magnetism pulls them together…a lot…and it’s hawt!

Ethan is such a cinnamon roll - he’s rigid, all business, and driven but also figures out how to work from home in order to take care of Eva while she’s sick, or pulls lawyer connections for her sister.

Eva is a talented, confident lawyer, but her confidence doesn’t shine through to her personal life due to a messy break up. But her chemistry with Ethan is electric and drives her through all the bumps they encounter.

Breaking All The Rules is a standalone re-work (Cocky Counsel) that I binged in one sitting. When the author says there is 🍆 in the first chapter, this absolutely came in hot! Eva is nursing a bad breakup and starting a new job with a prestigious law firm. She drinks her courage and has a ONS with a sexy suit at a club. And yes, she does see him again… as her BOSS at her new job. Ethan and Eva fail miserably at keeping things professional in the workplace. Throw in some family drama, a sexual harassment suit, some fantastically funny chat banter, and more spice than Guy Fieri wields and this story is a guaranteed winner! I absolutely loved it! I mean, the seven dwarves of erotica??? I'm definitely here for that party.

The spice in this book had me sweating! These two were ravenous and the sneaking around had my heart racing! I loved how they helped each other through their personal trials and tribulations. A few bumps in the road couldn’t keep them from being together. Thank you for this ARC!

Samantha Baca again manages to immediately suck me into her story. Where I'm completely hooked and I can't look away. I loved Ethan and Eva as a couple so much. This couple had such great chemistry and an equally deep emotional connection. I loved getting to know these characters. They are well developed, I cared so much for both of them, and they’re so freaking good together!

I loved everything about this book. It made me smile and swoon, and I fell in mad love with these characters and their story.

This story showcases all the things not to do in the workplace. Things are very steamy when Eva and Ethan first meet. Discovering that they are boss and employee certainly makes things interesting. While I really enjoyed the fun banter between many of the characters, the uncontrollable insta-smexy time that happened repeatedly almost detracted from story for me. I did like the family values theme and seeing justice done eventually however.

Eva & Ethan's story was a fast paced full of steamy can't keep their hands off each other, boss/employee full of twists and turns that kept me wondering if things WOULD ever work out for these two!! I was totally captivated by their story, the plot was so interesting, I thought I knew where Samantha was going with the story line… then bam… hit with a twist… and I was either floored or speechless!! Great writing and characters were entertaining..kept me reading to get that ending… and YES still surprised by that!! 🤣

A wonderfully well written romance read that features main characters Ethan and Eva. I loved their meeting and well, their meeting. Met in a bar where they have an incredible one-night stand only to find that Ethan is Eva's new boss. Awkward for sure but they are still drawn to each other in real and powerful ways. I loved this captivating and smooth flowing romance read that is well written and well balanced. A great read and I can't wait for more from Baca!

This was such a creative book that I am hoping will allow for more books to come with side characters getting a story. I absolutely loved watching how the characters attempted to act professional and fight their feelings. There is always something so appealing about chemistry between two characters that makes it impossible for them to fight their feelings. This is a an office romance that makes your feelings go haywire. I have read it twice already and know I will read it again in the future.

The main characters Eva and Ethan were fire. I loved reading their story. I mean I just did't know what I was going to get till I got to that point in the book. The emotions, the comedy, the banter, all of it just really brings the storyline to life. I just love the connection that these characters share too. A superb well-written page turner. And an engaging read. I couldn't get enough of this amazing story. Absolutely recommend this.

Ethan and Eva are both lawyers and have a quick steamy encounter in a bar and 2 weeks later she finds out Ethan is her new boss! Yikes. They have an attraction, but try to keep a professional work environment. He is also dealing with a workplace sexual harassment suit so needs to be by the book and not risk another.

This was a fun read and you become invested in the main characters and the surrounding characters/storylines were just as interesting as the romance.

what a really good read! i love the complicatedness of ethan's persona. he was a really good character to get to know. i like that everything was about discovering one's self and figuring out how to show that to the people who deserve it. it's very hard to open up when you feel like you should be that strong independent man. and to be the woman who gets to open up this side of you, it's heartwarming. great read!

Remarkably Fun

The chemistry between Ethan and Eva was remarkable as well as on fire. Their one night together, outstanding. However, life has a way of bringing them back to each other, even if it supposed to be professional. I loved the interactions and banter between these two and could not get enough of it. This was a fun and entertaining read.

This was a great romance! Eva and Ethan blow off some steam together only to discover that he is her boss a few weeks later. LOL talk about office shenanigans. They tried to resist the pull but there was no use. They ended finding an everlasting love.

This felt so pointless and repetitive. The almost nonexistent chemistry fizzled out by the end and I literally have no other words to describe how disappointed I am with this book. I believe the book could've been built better, like at least give the lawsuit some power, or even make it feel like actual forbidden romance.

Breaking all the Rules is a story of hot hookups, bad ideas and twisted women. Whilst the main storyline is a great the side plots are what makes it awesome.

Eva and Ethan start out with a literal bang, and I am so here for it. Flash forward a few weeks, and Eva discovers Ethan is her new boss, and things are about to become more complicated. Unable to stay away from each other, complications arise when coworkers start to take notice. A self-proclaimed bachelor, Ethan isn't interested in a relationship with Eva, and she isn't interested in being someone's secret. Throw in a few lawsuits at their firm, and you get a juicy little office romance. Lots of spice and a fast pace, I was hooked from the start.
