Something magical is brewing in Coventry...

Kinsley Wilson thought she had her life perfectly arranged. She has a new house, thriving businesses, and a loving family. But when her mother's cat Meri suddenly starts talking to her, Kinsley realizes her orderly world is about to be turned upside down.

As forgotten memories and dormant powers begin to awaken, Kinsley finds herself drawn back to her family's ancestral home, Hangman's House, where the walls seem to whisper secrets and the rooms remember her magic better than she does.

But there's no time to adjust to her newfound abilities when tragedy strikes Brew Station, the witch-themed coffee shop next door to Kinsley's donut bakery, Craft Donuts. During a special tasting event, a prominent coffee supplier is found dead, and Kinsley's friend Viv becomes the prime suspect.

With her reawakening magical senses detecting something not quite right about the death, Kinsley must navigate her resurging powers, two talking familiars with attitude problems, and her daughters' own emerging abilities—all while trying to solve a murder before the real killer strikes again.

In Coventry, even the most carefully brewed plans can boil over with unexpected consequences...

Back to the good stuff

This is the Meri, Kinsley, and family stories I love. The last two were awful. Hope the next keeps the new trend.

I'm not very good at writing reviews. Sara Bourgeois had become my favorite author. She has passion and crazy ideas that work in her books. Keeps you guessing until the end.
