In the quiet moments of her life, Sarah’s world is upended by one phone call—a call that shatters everything she thought she understood. Haunted by memories she can’t escape and questions she’s not ready to answer, Sarah leaves behind the life she once knew, heading into the unknown in search of something she can’t quite name. What she finds is Jayden—a man carrying his own unseen scars and a quiet determination to move forward despite them.

Their connection begins as a fragile thread, born from shared silences and the unspoken understanding of what it means to carry pain. As Sarah and Jayden navigate the winding roads of Maine's rocky coastline and pine-covered hills, they confront the weight of their pasts and the possibility of something new. Jayden’s quiet strength offers Sarah a sense of steadiness, while her vulnerability challenges him to confront the walls he’s built around his own heart.

Together, they explore the questions that linger in the quiet spaces of their How do you find hope after loss? What does it mean to truly let someone in? And how do you embrace the unknown, trusting that the path ahead can still lead to something meaningful?

As the seasons change and their bond deepens, Sarah and Jayden begin to uncover the transformative power of forgiveness—both for others and for themselves. Through unexpected moments of grace and the beauty of human connection, they learn that healing isn’t about erasing the past, but about finding the courage to move forward, one step at a time.

Set against the rugged beauty of Maine’s coastline, The Roads Between Us is a heartfelt exploration of love, loss, and resilience. This moving story reminds readers that even the most uncertain journeys can lead to hope, and that sometimes, the roads we least expect are the ones that bring us home.

For a first time author (and dear friend) I loved the book. The dialogue and character development was insightful and so intentional. There were excellent tie-ins from the beginning of the book to the end that made it come together nicely. A perfect read for a cozy night!
