In a Nutshell: A historical fiction with elements of romance, time travel, familial rivalry, royal intrigue, and Christian faith. Outstanding in plotting, historical research, and character development. The sixth book of the fabulous Timeless series. Works as a standalone, but better not read in isolation. Much recommended!

Plot Preview:
2025 has been a jinxed year for most of the running series on my TBR. Whatever series books I have read this year have failed to live up to their earlier standard. There had been only one exception: ‘Every Hour Until Then’, which is Book Five of the Timeless series and released in May this year. I am thrilled beyond words that Book Six also lives up to the Timeless standard.
Six books of a series with a similar base concept: the main character occupies multiple timelines simultaneously through a mysterious phenomenon called time-crossing. One might think that the books would start getting monotonous and predictable by now. But trust me, not a single book in this series has felt like the ones that came before. Every time, the latest book catches me by surprise at a few of its twisty inclusions. This is no exception.
Bookish Yays:
⌚ The concept. I always begin my Yays for a Timeless book with this point, because I never stop feeling astounded at the brilliance of the concept of timecrossing and how it is utilised in these plots. I didn’t anticipate the sheer number of timecrossers this time - wowza!
⌚ The novelty. Getting a male POV for the first time was a pleasant change. The author conveys the pressures faced by men convincingly without turning the characters into emotionless robots. (Isn't it odd how so many women can write men convincingly, but most men can't write women convincingly!? Perhaps women are, as widely claimed, tough to decode. 😅) I also liked the USA-UK medley.
⌚ The delightful smorgasbord of genres, covering historical, royal, romance, drama, timeslip, and Christian. And all this without the plot feeling cluttered in any way whatsoever!
⌚ The characters. Charles and Andrew in both timelines, Evelyn from 1883 and Cecily from 1563 – four compelling young adults struggling to do the best of their circumstances. Unexpectedly, I liked Andrew better than Charles, but that’s also because Charles was portrayed in a more realistic way, with flaws and all, so he was a bit tougher to like at times. His character was the most layered.
⌚ The plotting – as intricate and masterful as always. I love how the two young men’s lives mirrored each other’s without meaning to.
⌚ The two time periods. For once, I was totally clueless about the history as I have not even a teensy idea of 1560s England (the oldest time period in the Timeless books so far) and just minimal knowledge about 1860s USA. It was interesting to learn about Elizabethan history through this story.
⌚ The Christian content: devout without being preachy. Love how the book highlights surrendering to God's plans instead of expecting Him to listen to your plans.
⌚ A nice, steady tempo throughout.
⌚ The romance. You will know the potential pairs quite early and will root for both of them. But this doesn’t reduce the satisfaction of walking with them through their journey of togetherness. I love that the romance isn't the sole focus of the two timelines.
⌚ Because of the above, it is quite easy to guess which character would end up in which timeline at the time of choosing. But figuring out the Hows isn't so simple. I love the way everything fits neatly by the end.
⌚ The connection! All Timeless books have a connection to each other through their characters. In this book, I simply couldn’t figure out how the story linked to the earlier characters. But when the reveals came, I literally went 😲! Loved it!
⌚ The historical research. As impeccable as always. Despite having two intensely historical books in a single year, there are no corners cut on the authenticity of the period and the character behaviour. I just love the diligence of the author!
⌚ The epilogue. I ended the book with a big grin on my face! 😁 What a satisfying scene!
⌚ The author’s note, with amazing details about the actual history and her writing choices for the characters. I always love reading such authors’ notes that so cleverly detail out the facts behind the fiction.
⌚ The cover and title. I have never praised these before in my reviews, no idea why. So this is a Yay for all six covers and titles so far. I adore how the covers always reflect the timelines of the characters, and how the titles always contain a time-related word (with no repetitions so far!)
Bookish Mixed Bags:
⏳ Too many characters, especially young women, at the start of each timeline. It gets tricky to remember their names and relations. Luckily, things smoothen out after a few chapters.
⏳ Because of the 1563 timeline coming only in Cecily’s first-person POV, one key scene occurs off the page. I wish we had had a bird’s eye view of this because it promised to be a really dramatic turn of events. Consequently, the fate of one secondary character is also left undisclosed. I know there is no way the first-person narration could have accommodated this reveal sensibly. But the curious cat in me wanted to learn how exactly things unfurled there.
In the grand scheme of things, both my Mixed Bag points are trivial. The satisfaction offered by this book far outweighs any complaint. Rarely does a book deliver so well on all the key points that matter: plot, characters, writing, research, and ending.
One thing I regret is not keeping notes of the key characters right from Book One. At that time, I didn't know this would turn into such an intricate, long-running series. Discovering the cross-connections across stories is so much fun but also challenging.
I am so thrilled that the series has been extended from the originally planned trilogy to ten (planned) books. Every Timeless book so far has been consistent in its high-class delivery. I hope I can continue to explore this amazing historical series.
Definitely recommended to historical fiction readers who like complex stories with elements of Christian faith. This book is technically a standalone, but it doesn't offer too much details about the timecrossing. If you wish to truly understand the whole process and know the interrelations between the characters, better to go in series order. All the six books are marvellous anyway.

Plot Preview:
1883, Virginia. Twenty-four-year-old Charles has been struggling to take care of his mother and widowed sister as his horse farm has been facing losses ever since the death of his father a few years ago. His 1563 life in England, though more opulent, comes with its own share of struggles. (Yes, Charles lives two lives simultaneously. Read the earlier Timeless books to know how this works.) His main concern there is his stepsister Cecily, who has no one except him. Cecily works in the court of Queen Elizabeth, but if Charles has to secure her future, he needs to get her wed to a wealthy and titled man.
Charles has a time-crossing friend named Andrew who coincidentally occupies the same two time periods. When they realise that they can help each other in one of their paths, they embark upon an unusual bargain, one which leads to severe consequences for all of them, Cecily included.

Book 6 of the Timeless series brought a unique factor to the series by featuring a male lead time-crosser!
We follow siblings - Cecily and Charles. They share one time and have one of their own.
I really liked it!
What I liked:
-The writing style. I have come to really enjoy the way Meyer balances all the things: dialogue, description, romantic moments, and faith integration.
-Cecily. She was interesting and sweet. I liked her storyline the best.
-Andrew/Drew. He was sincere and had solid integrity.
-Evelyn. Really liked her. Strong convictions.
-Connection between previous Timeless characters!!
What kept this from five star level:
-CHARLES. Didn't like his tone, his decisions, or his hypocrisy
-The time periods were nothing special to me.
-The jousting was annoying
-The amnesia was annoying
-Charles
-Audiobook narrator for Charles was TERRIBLE and made Charles even worse
I would still recommend this book and the Timeless series. Every Hour Until Then remains my favourite.

This story is so good! I have labeled it “the connections book” due to……well you will see when you read it. I loved that we got to see Charles story. It was a little different reading, already knowing where he will end up since he is in book 1 in the series. But we don’t know how he got there or about his life. So that was really fun. This story did start off a little slow for me but once that PLOT TWIST hit oh my goodness! I was HOOKED! So so so good! I also liked that he shared timelines with his friend, Andrew. They both share 1563 and 1883. They also both have sisters, that are a big part of the story. Charles pov is in 1883 and his step sister Cecily’s pov is in 1563 so I really enjoyed that. I loved all the characters, Charles, Cecily, Andrew and Evelyn. Good Christian content. Just a wonderful story! I definitely recommend!

I FLEW through this book and read it in two days. This book is full of drama, political intrigue, and budding romance. The connections between all the books blew my mind and it was so fun to see things come together. But no spoilers here - you'll have to read for yourself!

4 ½ stars 🌟
This is my least favorite in the series so far. Charles was pretty frustrating and I think I would have enjoyed the book more if we read from Andrew's POV instead. I was also disappointed we didnt get to experience Charles' life on the farm with his mom and sister. I think that contrast to his 1563 life at court would have been really interesting. Those arent all, but they are my main complaints. All that being said, I LOVED the twists and connections to previous books. I did not see it coming or connect the dots at all and it was SO GOOD. So this is still a great book and I enjoyed it and the cover is beautiful. I cant wait for book 7!!!

March 18, 2025Oooooo!! Another one!! So excited to read this, can't wait!! Gabrielle Meyer Timeless series are the BEST! I've happily read "When the day Comes", "In this Moment", "For a Lifetime", and "Across the Ages" books which are part of the Timeless series. And have cried, sighed, and found so much happiness in flipping pages filled with history and Gods Redeeming love!! I highly recommend to read her books!

What a great first read of 2026!
This is the fastest I've finished a book in a little while, which speaks to the level of thrilling, compelling, and fascinating storytelling that the Timeless series always gives.
I knew very little about The Elizabethan Age of England and only a bit more about the Gilded Age of America, so the timelines in Through Each Tomorrow were great immersions into these historical periods.
The characters were also stunning, real, flawed, and great examples of redemption and renewal as they learned to reconcile God's will with their plans and grappled with the bitterness, anger, and confusion that can sometimes accompany those struggles.
There were a few character tie-ins from previous books too again that totally blew my mind. Once again, the absolute brilliance, depth of research, and high quality crafting of story intertwined with relatable faith stunned me, and I cannot wait for book seven!!!

I always appreciate the faith that Ms. Meyers weaves through her books. It was more subtle at the beginning, but came together nicely by the end of the book, and I enjoyed seeing each of the characters learning to trust God more.
Medieval history has always been one of my favorites, so I really loved the 1500s timeline! I would have happily spent the entire book there. And Drew, 100% stole the show for me. He was my favorite character!
I can't really say too much without spoilers! But you definitely want to make sure you've read the rest of the series before reading this one.

Gah!!! I want to say ALL THE THINGS but I don’t want to give any spoilers!! 🤐🤐🤐
I don’t know how Gabrielle Meyers does it… but I never see things coming. And I’m always leery of the “I know my plan”… but there’s a powerful message about that.
Things I wanted to do while reading this book:
1. Slap one of the characters (repeatedly)
2. Throw the book across the room
3. Jump into the scene with my much easier solution to ALL their messes (spoiler alert - my solutions weren’t really any better than theirs 😂)
4. Throttle another character who could have made things easier
5. Throw the book across the room
6. Set two characters up for a HEA (really, I think it could have worked… might be a novella idea)
7. Throw the book across the room
8. Hug so many of the characters! In joy and sadness
9. Hyperventilate
10. Hug Gabrielle Meyer while I sob over the epilogue (I might do this at Rendezvous this week - someone should maybe warn her 😂)

This is the point in the series where it dawns on me that Gabrielle Meyer is a mastermind. How on earth this woman keeps all of these connections straight is beyond me, but it makes for great storytelling - that’s for sure! 👏
If I’m being honest, these weren’t my favorite time periods or my favorite characters, which made it tough for me to get invested for a while. I also felt there wasn’t as big of a faith thread through this one, but it’s understandable considering where each of these characters are in their stories.
With a series like this, I know that I won’t 5-star every single one - and that’s okay. That’s just my personal taste speaking. What keeps me coming back is this woman’s ability to utterly wow and shock me with the way she weaves stories. Her writing is some of my favorite, and I think it always will be. So regardless of whether or not I enjoy a time period as much or if I resonate with a character less, I’ll always come back for more.
As I’ve said before and will continue to, if you haven’t started this series yet - what are you waiting for?

Is anyone else hesitant to pick up each of Gabrielle Meyer's next books in the Timeless series, for fear that she can't do it again? Can't work that magic again?
Well, I am here to tell you to fear not. She does, in fact, do it again.
In true Timeless fashion, this book gripped me from the very beginning and did not let go.
I don't want to say anything else, because with these books, it feels like anything could be a spoiler, so all I'll say is if you haven't yet picked up this series, trust me when I say that you definitely should!

I am absolutely astounded that each book in Timeless series gets consecutively better. This being the sixth book in the series, I didn’t think the author could have any more tricks up her sleeves. Boy, was I wrong and I am so glad. Gabrielle Meyer has created such an amazing series with characters that weave in and out of each others’ lives decades and centuries apart.
I was completely charmed and delighted to meet Charles, whom I immediately remembered from the author’s previous book. His sense of duty and justice, loyalty, intelligence, and compassion made him an excellent and memorable hero both in 1563 and 1883. His first person voice was the first male time-crossing voice featured in the series and I loved how it was different from Cecily’s first person voice set in 1563 only. Cecily was a dear with a lovely and tender heart. I loved getting to know Drew’s steadfast heart and healer’s soul. This storyline featured multiple time-crossers and had quite a few plot twists which had my jaw dropping to the ground. Evelyn was an unusual heiress and her compassion and intelligence matched Charles. For those who have read all the books in the series so far, Charles’ choice will not be a surprise. But his journey, along with Evelyn’s and Cecily’s and Drew’s, is undeniably worth every page. I really enjoyed the setting of Queen Elizabeth I’s court since I knew nothing about that era. I also thoroughly enjoyed Newport in Gilded Age; I’ve always been fascinated by the mansions and the history behind them.
If you enjoy beautifully written time-crossing novels, this book is for you. It’s easily one of my favorite books of 2025.

The queen of plot twists has done it again!
Before I begin, I need to say this;
1. This series is one of my absolute favorites and
2. You need to read these in order. If you haven’t read them and try to pick up in the middle, you might be a little lost and you won't get the most out of this series.
We have our first (main character) male time crosser in this book. In this book, we have 2 voices, Charles and Cecily. However, we have more than 2 time-crossers. We flip back and forth through our main male characters timelines, 1883 and 1563.
We also get to hear his step-sister’s voice in 1563, adding another layer to this book. In 1563, Charles is nobility and in service to the Queen with Cecily. In 1883, he is a poor horse farmer who lost his father in the Civil War and is desperately trying to take care of his mother and sister. Then he meets a woman who captures his heart in one timeline. He has two situations, two major obligations, and must choose which timeline he wants to stay in forever.
What I love most about Gabrielle Meyer’s writing is how easy it is to follow, even with so many moving parts. Just when you think you’ve figured things out, she hits you with another jaw-dropping twist! I literally sat there last night with my mouth hanging open. The way she weaves past characters into the new story is brilliant—it feels like visiting old friends while meeting new ones. Each book deepens our understanding of the ones before it, and that makes the entire series so rewarding.
As for teen readers, I always get asked this. Personally, I’d recommend waiting. These books are written for adults, not young adults, and while they are clean (no intimate scenes, thankfully) and deeply Christian in theme, they do explore strong feelings of attraction that are more suited to a mature audience.
All in all, Through Each Tomorrow is a beautiful, faith-filled, and twist-laden continuation of one of the most creative series I’ve ever read. Gabrielle Meyer has truly mastered the art of weaving timelines, heart, and history into unforgettable stories.

Another great time period and story in the Timeless series by Gabrielle Meyer. I really loved the time period of Queen Elizabeth's court and the interconnected characters throughout the story was really unique. I will say though that I did get quite a bit lost between characters in this book, as we are following four character's instead of just one or two. But overall I really enjoyed getting to know even more than in the previous books and this is one you shouldn't miss if you've read all of the others...read them in order.

Those emotions though!! I was legitimately worried that there wouldn’t be a satisfying/happy ending but good havens, it came through at the final hour. I really liked the faith elements and sentiments included in this one. They were relatable and not over the top and made you feel that depth of despair and hope.
I loved all of these characters. The strength of self to continue pressing forward and making the best moves from what lay in front of you. I would have LOVED Drew’s perspective too, but that’s okay. Charles and Cecily were wonderful stories to follow.
I really enjoyed learning about both timelines and did a bit of googling after because my history nerd self wanted even more. I loved well researched historical novels!!
These was very romantic, heartfelt, and filled with forgiveness and courage. Another wonderful story for this series and not one to miss!

I enjoyed this one for the male viewpoints and how different time traveling would be for the men and their responsibility to care for their female relatives, a common aspect for men in all of history. I learned a lot about Queen Elizabeth I and liked a book that wasn't centered on things as intense as serial killers and witch trials, as some of the previous books were. 😆 it's amazing to me how twisty Gabrielle still manages to make these books, even after six!

The story that connects them all!! I wonder if this is the end of the series? If so, what a delightful ending. I truly didn’t know how the characters would navigate the challenges they faced, but it was so fun to go along for the ride. The fact that the boys were acquaintances in both timelines made for such a unique story. And I loved how Cecily’s story intertwined with theirs, having just her and Charles as the main POV’s. When we learned of Evelyn’s other path, so much clicked. Ah! So well done. This unique take on time travel has been a favorite part of my year!

Through Each Tomorrow is installment 6 in the Timeless Series. To get full enjoyment from reading this book I suggest that you make sure you have read all previous books in the order they are written. The author mentions characters from several of the previous book. There is so much I liked about this book. I have enjoyed all of Gabrielle Meyer's books and look forward to each release. This one kept me turning pages. It was that suspenseful.
This book features two male characters who are best friends and both are time crossers and share the same two paths. One path is the mid 1500s when Queen Elizabeth is on the throne. The other path is 1883. In the 1500s Andrew is just a physician and Charles is an Earl. In the 1883 path Andrew is weathy with a father in the shipping industry. In the 1883 Charles is a farmer trying to support his mother and sister. Both men suffer angst as to which path they will chose when the time comes. Both have loved ones in each path they feel they need to support. One finds love in 1500s and the other finds love in 1883 but social norms at the time may prevent this from being with them.
I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves time crossing novels and anyone who love a good clean novel.

Okay I think this is my second favorite book of the whole series (after book 4). I seem to be drawn to the timelines that are more unusual in these books and I really enjoyed the 1563 time in this one! I was so excited to finally have a guy’s POV in these books, but I was more invested in Cecily and the Queen’s court, it just thought it was so interesting!
Some of my favorite elements were all of the tie ins from all the previous books!!! No spoilers here, but I was so caught off guard by some of them. . . . My mind was so blown! I feel like I need to go reread all the other books now!
My favorite character by far was Andrew, followed closely by Cecily. He was so thoughtful and kind and even though both he and Charles tended to be just a TAD unreasonable about a few things, I really liked their relationship. I need more wholesome men’s friendships in Christian Fiction. All in all, I really loved this book! It kept me interested and trying to figure out what was going to happen. What I find always strikes me about each of these stories is how each character has to get to the end of themselves and rely on God. And how it’s always better God’s way. It’s such a good reminder for me in the moments that I feel the very same—at the end of myself. And God is always there.
I loved knowing Charles’ back story since we met him in book one. I also absolutely love the way Gabrielle always weaves different characters from the series in, making it feel so immersive and throwing plot twists out there. I also loved how even though we knew which path he would end up in because of the first book, it was still a wild ride getting there and keeps you hooked so much that you don’t want to stop reading!
I love this series so much, and I can’t wait for the next ♥️

Buckle up, Timeless Series readers! There’s a ton of intrigue and suspense in this one. It might seem at first glance like it’s too much to follow with multiple time crossers in this book (Hooray🎉), but the way Gabrielle weaves the tale makes for a smooth reading experience. This installment has surprising time crosser reveals, unexpected twists, and satisfying connections to characters in previous books.
Each character must navigate difficult circumstances and recognize that they must give it all over to God who is sovereign and whose ways are always best. Through Each Tomorrow beautifully shares biblical truth, brings multiple character threads from other books together, and reveals captivating mysteries.
Ah, the epilogue- it gave me chills! So good, friends! I say this with every book, but I seriously don’t know how Gabrielle Meyer does it. She has such a gift!

I am still in awe at this wonderful concept of time-crossing in book six of the Timeless series by Gabrielle Meyer. Through Each Tomorrow shows the impeccable research the author has done to give us the court of Elizabeth I and Newport, Rhode Island in the Gilded Age.
Friends Charles and Andrew discover that they are both time-crossers in 1563 and 1883 but their places in society are switched in each. In 1563 Charles is a Lord and Andrew is lowborn. In 1883 Andrew is wealthy and of high society while Charles is an impoverished horse farmer. The complications begin when Andrew asks Charles to pose as a Lord in 1883 in order to impress the Astors. They each think they have decided in which time period to remain when they reach their 25th birthdays. But circumstances may take those decisions from them.
As always, the characters realize that ultimately it is God who orders their lives. “Trusting God did not mean I would not have heartache, but it did mean that I needed to lean on Him and follow the path He has laid before me.”
The author packs a lot into these stories. Each chapter alternated time periods and I could not turn pages fast enough. The stories were that compelling. I am glad there will be 10 books in total but I will be sorry to see this series end.

I definitely recommend reading the series in order. While each book is its own story following different characters, there are some crossovers between books best understood in order. This book in particular has some really fun unexpected connections that I loved!
Through Each Tomorrow is set in both 1563 and 1883 and follows a brother and sister as they face court politics within Queen Elizabeth's court, difficult decisions and dilemmas in both timelines, complicated romance, and a sibling bond that is stretched to new heights. It was intriguing and satisfying to follow their journey and try to figure out how everything would play out. There are light Christian themes throughout that were woven through in meaningful ways. The historical setting was well researched and thoughtfully presented. It was another innovative and enjoyable addition to this series!

Oof. I’ll be honest, y’all. I have NO IDEA how I’m going to write this review. (Though I feel certain there will be plenty of all-caps flailing.) Because I have SO MUCH TO SAY about it, so many deep feelings that I experienced on these pages, but I can’t tell you most of it until you’ve read it. This shouldn’t be a surprise to you if you’ve read the other books since they are all so masterfully written, but there are some BRILLIANT twists in this story, including a few stunners that seriously tempted me to throw the book across the room. And if I hadn’t been reading it on my e-reader, I just might have. I’ve been super invested in each of the books in this series but this one nearly undid me. It brought so many emotions to the surface and reminded me of some important truths about God and how He’s writing my own story – and whether I truly trust Him with the ending or not. (Seriously, I’m still wiping away tears over here because of how clearly I heard God on these pages.)
BUT I CAN’T TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT IT because I don’t want to spoil even one iota of the thrill of discovery for you as you read Through Each Tomorrow for yourself. Oh but I’m dying to talk with you about Charles and Drew and Cecily and Evelyn and the exquisite beauty in their respective stories, even amid the devastating blows and impossible decisions they must navigate. I’m beside myself with wanting to tell you about the profound parallels between the 1563 timeline and the 1883 timeline AND how MASTERFULLY Meyer ties in some of the other threads in the series. But all I can really safely say is that I was ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT and HARDLY DARED TO BREATHE almost the. entire. time. (What I lack in details in this review I clearly make up for in exuberant exclamations LOL)
Bottom Line: OH. MY. HEART. (oops. there i go exclamating again) Through Each Tomorrow by Gabrielle Meyer absolutely blew me away. I mean, all of her books in this Timeless series have done that but this one… I was not prepared for how deeply this one would affect me, and I’m still not okay. I may never recover from how emotionally invested I was in this story, and that’s perfectly fine with me. It’s brilliantly plotted, intensely heart-tugging, and full of those gasp-out-loud twists that make you go, “wait… WHAT?!” more than once. (Followed closely by, “HER STORYCRAFTING IS AMAZING!!!”) The spiritual truth woven seamlessly through the book met me right where I am, hit me square in the soul, and will be lingering in my heart for a very long while. I’m not sure how Gabrielle Meyer keeps topping herself, how she keeps the time-crossing aspect so fresh in each new novel, but if you need me, I’ll be over here continuing to process the events of Through Each Tomorrow and flailing in capital letters for the foreseeable future.

It’s brilliantly plotted, intensely heart-tugging, and full of those gasp-out-loud twists that make you go, “wait… WHAT?!” more than once. (Followed closely by, “HER STORYCRAFTING IS AMAZING!!!”) The spiritual truth woven seamlessly through the book met me right where I am, hit me square in the soul, and will be lingering in my heart for a very long while. I’m not sure how Gabrielle Meyer keeps topping herself, how she keeps the time-crossing aspect so fresh in each new novel, but if you need me, I’ll be over here continuing to process the events of Through Each Tomorrow and flailing in capital letters for the foreseeable future.

Definitely a new favorite among the Timeless series. The lore in this book is actually insane and every other page something wild is taking place. I also love that Meyer traversed into Queen Elizabeth’s court as that period is one of my favorites with its intrigue. I can’t wait for the next one!
