OMG DID I JUST ? LOVED THIS BOOK? AND OMG IS GRANT EVEN REAL?

AFTER A VERY LONG I FINALLY FOUND A HOCKEY ROMANCE BOOK THAT HAS MORE TEASINGS, JOKES, FUN THAN SMUT AND I REALLY ENJOYED THIS.

IT WAS A REALLY FUN AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT BOOKS IN THIS SERIES BUT ITS NOT PUBLISHED YET SO NOW I HAVE TO WAIT FOR IDK HOW LONG.

I AM REALLY EXCITED FOR CAMI AND GUNNER'S BOOK. AND THANK GOD THAT SASHA DRAMA ENDED. THE LEVEL OF MY PATIENCE WAS ABOUT TO BURST BECASUE THAT GIRL IS SUPER INSECURE. I HATE HER. THANK GOD, GUNNER UNDERSTOOD THE LEVEL OF DRAMA AND CHAOS THAT TOXIC SASHA WAS. THOUGH I DID SAY IT TOOK REALLY LONG FOR HIM TO ACCEPT IT.

AND THE BEAR MACDONALD AND ALL THE OTHER HOCKEY PLAYERS ARE SO FUNNY AND FUN. OH, HOW MUCH I WISH TO A FRIEND GROUP LIKE BROOKE.

THE CHATS AND GROUP CHATS IN BETWEEN MADE IT ALOT MORE BETTER. I LOVED THIS BOOK.

BROOKE AND GRANT REALLY LOOK GOOD TOGETHER.

BYE BYE EVERYONE UNTIL MY NEXT READ.

I picked up this book because I hadn’t read a hockey romance in a little while and with the start of hockey season I wanted to be on theme. I didn’t really know what to expect when I was reading this, but I ended up loving it and I actually can’t wait for the second one.

The fact that her mom and her ex-boyfriend did what they did it was really fucked up but the way that Brooke takes over her life and has like a kick ass comeback with everything I could’ve ever wanted. When Grant instantly like drops everything to help Cami go get her and the way they meet with her covered in mud and sobbing and then the boys protecting her from her ex-boyfriend without ever actually meeting her first is amazing! I just love the friendship between Brooke and all of the boys like how they protect her as like a sister except for grant but Adam and bear just like being there for her!

Cami being the best friend of all time dropping whatever she’s doing to come get her friend and then pushing her to keep going, and like protecting her is something a girl could only dream of.

The fact that after her mom is even more of a bitch than we thought that Cami’s parents are there for her bear’s parents are there for her. She just gets like an awesome support team after not having one for so long and it’s a 10 out of 10.

The way that her and Grant romance is like a slow burn but like you can tell that he’s like obsessed with her from the beginning, but he’s scared and the fact that she also just like is also obsessed, but is also scared so they just like dance around it for a while. I do think the story could’ve gone without Cami being upset about her and Grant because like so many things like we’re already happening in the book with like the drop itself her ex-boyfriend, her mom being a piece of shit.

But overall, I really thought this book was well written and I couldn’t stop reading it. It had my attention from the beginning and I will recommend it to everybody I know.

May Contain Book Spoilers!!!!!
To be honest with you all this is one of my favorite books that I have read this year! I love the way the MC’s are introduced to each other and how even though she is a complete wreck he still likes her. I love the way that the MFC keeps the MMC on his toes in the beginning and doesn't feed his ego. A few things about this book are that the spice is very low and tame we don't get much and what we do get isn't very long or descriptive which I'm okay with, but I also like reading more descriptive text of a spicy scene also. There were a couple of grammatical errors, a few spelling errors and name errors in this book but it definitely didn’t hinder how the book was written or the plot of the story at all, maybe just for future books she can have more eyes read over it so that there is more time for those mistakes to be pointed out so she can fix them before the final is published. This book is one of the most tear jerker books I’ve read this year. I especially cried during scenes during their third act breakup, and I especially cried when she went to visit her dads grave after her awful thanksgiving with her mom and everyone showed up for her because they just knew that she needed her friends who had turned into her family with her.

I’m honestly so impressed by this book, what an amazing read!

The Drop is a hockey romance with a great balance of tension, emotion and found family.
I was really drawn to Grant and Brook their dynamic was beautifully written. You could really feel the building chemistry between them. I especially loved the side characters, they gave it such a great found family feeling. Adam really stood out to me and added so much humour and lightness to the story. The relationships felt real and layered, and I genuinely cared about what happened to everyone.

After getting a glimpse of Cami and Gunnar’s story, I already know their book is going to be amazing. I honestly can’t wait!

Highly recommend to anyone looking for an emotional, heartfelt read with characters you'll think about long after you finish.

I LOVED IT SO MUCH! Hockey romance is always a winner in my eyes but this one really hit it out the park with all the micro-tropes, especially found family - the way all the side characters had their own distinct personalities and they really stood out was soooooo good! LOVED Grant and Brooke's slow burn and tension-filled flirty banter 💞
Can’t wait to see what my besties think when it’s released! 🥰

Thank you to Ellen for letting me be a part of the beta read team! 💞

This was not good. Definitely not for me, and I’d never recommend this to anyone. The book is entirely too long (almost 500 pages!!), there are plot holes all over the place (absolutely glaring ones!!), the grammar and writing was poor (at best), the book needed tons of editing it clearly didn’t get, and honestly, the plot wasn’t that great or riveting either (I’d sum it up as…meh).

Just skip this one.

I love the friend group in this book and how they found each other and just the way that they support each other. I could’ve kept reading hundreds of more pages about their life together, but the love story was just not for me. It felt too rushed. I don’t feel like they actually connected with each other. But can’t wait for Gunner and Cami!!!

I haven’t read the book yet, but this is exactly the kind of story I live for. A fresh start, emotional baggage, complicated chemistry, and that one guy who’s supposed to be “just fun” but never is. I’m getting The Deal and The Cheat Sheet vibes. Counting down the days!

This wasn’t terrible…but it wasn’t great either. Another overly long winded book that could have been wrapped up 200 pages sooner.

3.5 🌟 this was cute and I enjoyed it. It was on the long side so felt like it dragged on a bit and there were quite a few grammatical errors but it didn’t bother me

I think the author DESPERATELY needs a good editor, but this series has the potential to be the next Off Campus.

I had so much fun reading this, but it should’ve been about 150 pages shorter, the grammar and spelling were truly so bad, and the weird spacing between sentences was throwing me off. I think it says a lot about how good the plot and characters were that I read the entire thing in like a day because usually those things are enough to make me DNF.

Really hope this author republishes/gets an editor for her future books!
