This was a fun cozy mystery involving a missing Faberge egg! Darla is an antique hunter and was hired by a couple looking to see if this was a real Faberge egg or a good fake one.

It's a quick and very enjoyable story that I really liked!

I highly recommend this one!

Got a minute or ten? Super quick read! But the crime was solved. (Just me, but I found the dog annoying.)

Likeable main character, pleasant read

A fun book, with a relatable main character, this book reads quickly with no foul language, no graphic scenes. Conversation is natural and descriptions are just right, not overly detailed. And what's with the bobby pins in the bangs! Entertaining and refreshing.

This was a new adventure in a fun series. Darla quit her job and is now an independent heirloom appraiser. She is contacted by a woman wanting her to appraise an egg they had. Since Darla was not familiar with this type of item she takes it to an appraiser who is familiar and has to leave it with him. The next morning, she comes back to find the appraiser dead and the egg missing. The characters are interesting and far too many of them seem like suspects and poor Darla is the prime suspect yet again. with a lot of work and far too many red herrings, she finally finds the egg only to be stopped by the killer. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next one.

This book picks up where #1 left off: Darla is breaking out on her own, and she gets a call from a potential client who's not sure if her family heirloom is what can save the family business or just of memory value rather than monetary. Darla thinks it may be a Fabergé egg, so she enlists the help of an Eastern European expert, but when he's found dead and her client's egg is missing, Darla plays amateur sleuth when she finds herself a suspect again

A fun read

Darla Digby, an antique hunter, has an opportunity beyond what she could ever have imagined. Unfortunately, she has barely begun before the item she wanted to have appraised is stolen. She will have to go to great lengths to locate it, and she’s on a deadline.

This is an easy book to read. I enjoyed it.

thrilling murder mystery involving antiques specialists

Completely enjoyable from start to finish, with Darla and her companion Russell terrier, Winston, always at her side. The descriptions of the various antiques that Darla came across made me feel as if I were seeing them in person. Highly recommend this book.

Rather an interesting cozy mystery. Protagonist is relatable if not unique in the world of cozies. Good story but ending was a bit of a let down; as if the author just wanted to get the story to it's conclusion. Still, a good read.
