Book will draw you in!

A true American as apple pie story. It is very unique! Unusual take on the theme. Love the book . Now as usual write fast because I have to know what happens next. Thank you!

This is part of the October World set of books. I struggled with this one a lot. First, the flashbacks for the characters were numerous and in some cases, felt pointless. I suppose it was to give us their backstories and make us connect with them, but it was so aimless and intrusive, I didn’t care. The event doesn’t even happen until a third into the book. The relationship tension between Dalton and Savannah was silly and sophomoric. They were very shiny keys people, focused on their filming, offset by their banal banter, and rarely stayed focused on their actual situations. I was certain they would never get back home, but suddenly, they were there all the way from Arizona. There is a cliffhanger at the end that tickled my interest, but I don’t think the Union County series is for me.

Such a fun read

I've been enjoying the October Fall world for awhile now, and have really liked all the stories from different places and perspective, but Union County Fall was truly a surprise and a treat at the same time. The detail was like I was really there too. And the part about Lake Bridgeport captured me, I've been there and fished out of Runaway Bay many times when I lived there in Irving. Thanks for the wonderful story, and I'm looking forward to book 2, 'cause you can't leave us hanging like that in this October Fall world.

I found this book very entertaining. Enjoyed the characters and the story really made me ponder what it would be like in the days and weeks following an apocolyptic event like an EMP attack. Despite it being about something devastating, it was still a story of survival and hope. Enjoyed this immensely.

I could not get into this book.

I only read half of it, and I gave up. The characters were too flippant and immature, IMO. It read like a library book for an adolescent. Sorry for the one star but it is what it is.
