She’s everything I want in a woman, and I’m determined to make her mine.
But her jerk of a boyfriend is standing in our way, and I can’t continue to let him live knowing what he does to her every day.
She’s so fragile, so breakable, and she smells so sweet. Once her boyfriend is out of the picture, we’ll be able to start a life together.
I’ll stop at nothing to get what I want, and what I want is her. Even if that means burning the world to ash to make it happen.
Essence is mine—mine to hurt, mine to break.
Carnal is a dark stalker romance with themes that some may find disturbing or uncomfortable and is recommended for readers over the age of 18. Please read responsibly.

This was a great read but warning if dv or loss of a child is a trigger for you then you might want to skip this one. The way this is written is great and I love how it shows a little of even though someone is being abused how hard it is to leave that relationship. Our fmc is put through it with her eventually ex-boyfriend but she is stronger than he ever thought and it is thanks to our mmc. The mmc is a firefighter who looses his son but becomes obsessed with our fmc, just how we like it 😁. This story is an emotional roller coaster with lots of spice. Oh and there is a scene on the Ferris wheel 🔥🔥🔥🔥. As always read your tw.
I am lucky to not have been in Essence's situation, living in and trying to escape a violent relationship. However, her story was so beautifully written that I could feel both her hatred towards Evan, as well as her struggle to actually leave him.
Her torn emotions between Dante, the masked man, and slightly Evan (due to their history and situation), were powerfully written. I love the change of POV throughout the story, to enable you to see everything from both the FMC and MMC's point of view.
The dedication at the front, helped paint a beautiful picture of the intended MMC. If you love firefighters, dark romance, stalkers, and masked men, this book is definitely for you!
Calling all the ladies with the hots for a guy in uniform: this one’s for you! Firefighter MMC!
If your looking for something sweet, don’t even open this book.. but if your as dark and obsessed with gritty, obsessive & disturbing type of reads as I am, then you need to read Carnal!
‼️ SPOILERS AHEAD ‼️
The dedication alone had me hooked and buckled in for the ride, who doesn’t want a few references to the show 9-1-1 😉
Plot. This follows the story of Essence, who is stuck in an abusive & dead end relationship with Evan. She forms a bond with one of her students fathers, Dante - a firefighter and our deeply obsessive MMC. After losing his son due to an arson attack on his home, Dante puts his focus into his work at the fire station & his growing feelings for Essence. Protecting her where he can against her abusive boyfriend. But Essence has a secret.. a masked stranger who she can’t deny she’s curious about!
My thoughts: This one’s dark ladies, like k!nks, blood, fire, Obsession, Stalking, Murdêr type of dark and it’s all kinds of DELICIOUS! Essence has two men who want her, and she can’t quite decide which she wants the most.. the protective firefighter or the stranger she thinks of often..
Lunchbox - the cute pup who’s start in life has been cruel due to Evan’s attitude towards the poor pup. I wanted to drop kick the man every time there was an interaction between the two. Poor little bubba.
There were a couple times I wanted to shout don’t go back there! But from personal experience, I understand why she did. It’s hard to make changes after this sort of relationship and leaving is the hardest part. Overall I really enjoyed this and have recommended to others over the last couple weeks 🥰
If you need to read the triggers for your own health, please do so. If you’re like me and skip the TWs, then you do you but please take care of your mental health when reading
This book is pitch-black, brutal, and utterly addictive. If you have triggers, check them first—but if you’re like me and crave a dark, twisted stalker romance that pushes boundaries, Carnal will sink its claws in and never let go.
Told in dual POV, we follow Essence & Dante. Essence is fragile, breakable, and so heartbreakingly human—you can feel the weight of her pain on every page. Then there’s Dante: masked, obsessive, and feral in his devotion. He doesn’t just want Essence…he needs her. His possessiveness is primal, unrelenting, and laced with the kind of danger that keeps you on edge, wondering if you should run—or lean in closer.
The tropes? Everything. ☠️ Touch her and die ☠️ Masked MMC ☠️ Stalker vibes ☠️ Primal play ☠️ Breeding ☠️ Dark romance in its purest, rawest form
The tension between them is magnetic. Dante is the perfect combination of predator and protector—violent to anyone who dares come near her, but soft (in his own way) when it comes to Essence. Their chemistry is explosive, their intimacy scorching, and the line between obsession and love blurs so beautifully dark it made my chest ache.
This is the second book in the Deviants series, and while each story stands alone, the connective thread of masked stalkers makes this world feel addictive and cohesive. The writing is sharp, immersive, and doesn’t waste a single page. The pacing is relentless—you’ll inhale it in one sitting and still be left wanting more.
⚠️ Warning: This book is not for the faint of heart. It explores violent themes, non-con, primal dynamics, and psychological obsession. But if you’re a dark romance reader who thrives in that space—this one is perfection.
Carnal is everything I crave in a stalker romance: dangerous, twisted, unhinged, and yet, heartbreakingly intimate. Leila Starling doesn’t just give us a story—she gives us an experience. And I was obsessed with every word.
ARC Book Review: Carnal by Leila Starling. This book is set to release on September 23, 2025.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ /5
Recommendation: Carnal offers the dark romance basics, but I was hoping for something that lingered a little longer after the final page. Worth a read if you’re in the mood for something quick and moody, but not one I’ll be revisiting. *check trigger warnings* as
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Emotional Damage: ☠️☠️ /5
Originality : 🖊️🖊️ /5
Writing: 🥀🥀🥀5
Likes: This one had all the ingredients you’d expect from a solid dark romance—intensity, mystery, and a touch of danger. It was an easy read, and I flew through it without hitting any major snags. The pacing worked, and the setup had promise.
Dislikes: Carnal doesn’t leave a lasting impression. I kept waiting for that emotional gut-punch or deeper connection between the characters, but it never fully landed. The romance leaned more on surface-level tension than emotional wreckage, and I wanted more vulnerability to balance the heat. Also, the mystery around the man in the gas mask? You could figure it out way too early. It felt like a missed opportunity for more drama or suspense, especially in a story that thrives on tension and reveal.

Genre: Dark Romance
Tropes: Masked Lover / Hidden Identity, Possessive Love Interest, Deviant Desires / Taboo Themes, Standalone in a Series
Book 2 in the Deviants series: Dante and Essence. This is a firefighter x teacher, stalker, emotional healing journey, morally grey MMC, secretly dark FMC, obsessed MMC, revenge plot, DV survivor rep, dark romance. This is definitely not a cute a cuddly kind of romance. Dante is a morally DARK grey (maybe even morally black) MMC that has had so much tragedy happen to him. Dante, a firefighter, lost his wife in childbirth and years later his young aon was k!lled. In his grief he resorts to less than normal ways of coping. His obsession to his son’s teacher, Essence, is one of those ways. Essence is in such a toxic relationship with her boyfriend that is quickly turning physical. Hating the relationship she is in but not knowing how to get out of it she discovers that she has someone that has been watching her from the shadows. She has her own dark secrets that come out to play.
This book was so much fun to read I enjoyed it from start to finish. Essence and Dante had quite the connection to each other right from the beginning. A trauma bond if you will because of what happened to Dante's son who was actually her student. What hat Essence didn't know was Dante was obsessed with her to put it mildly. The only thing that was standing between Dante getting his woman was her shitty boyfriend Evan but eventually that little pesky problem got dealt with. The spice was spicing per the usual with this author.
This book was a wild ride—dark, intense, and dripping with heat. The tension is woven through every page, blending danger, obsession, and passion into a story that’s impossible to put down. The chemistry between the characters is off-the-charts, and the steam is both frequent and deliciously filthy. While the story edges into gritty, twisted territory, it still delivers on emotional depth and raw connection. A solid, addictive dark romance that fans of high spice and darker themes will devour.
Ok so if you enjoy dark romance books with masked stalkers, you NEED to add this to your TBR! There are some difficult topics, so I highly recommend reading the trigger warnings first. I loved the main characters, Dante and Essence…they had both been through so much and deserved to be happy. Dante was a little (a lot?) unhinged but as a dark romance reader, that’s definitely a plus 😂 The spice was amazing, 10/10 (um, the ferris wheel scene?? 😩🥵). Also, just when I thought I was getting near the end and things were calming down, BAM plot twist that I did NOT see coming. Overall, I loved this book and I’m so excited to go back and read Primal, the first standalone in the series ❤️
Where I do even begin? First of all, I just want to say how much I love and adore Leila Starling. She’s truly an amazing author!
I absolutely devoured this book. I’ve been fighting a book slump for a while now and all I can say is that I loved reading Carnal. Carnal was a fantastic dark stalker romance. I enjoyed reading Essence and Dante’s story and fell in love with Lunchbox the pup. Stalker romance is one of my favorites and immediately pulled me in.
4 1/2⭐️ All it took was half a year to foster the obsession between Dante and Essence. The more that happens the deeper his obsession becomes. This story is so good and has you from the beginning.
I received an advanced review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Hear me out. For what it was meant to be and the tropes I did enjoy this book. However I can’t give it a full 4-5 stars because I continuously kept putting the book down thanks to the fmc.
The main tropes focus on dv/abuse, child death and of course the fan fav masked stalker. The fmc constantly running back to her abuser drove me insane😞. She had so many people that cared about her and actually got out, just to keep going back because she cared for him and didn’t want to be a burden to anyone even tho she wasn’t. It just irritated me so much. I do understand that is realistic for a lot of women in these circumstances, but it was just hard to read because I just wanted her to say “fuck him” and she couldn’t. Just kept making excuse even tho he tried to kill her multiple times.
Other than that the book was written exceptionally well for the plot and I did love the mmc and side characters. ESPECIALLY LUNCHBOX🐶🤍🖤
I've been waiting for what feels like FOREEEVEERRR for this book, and let me tell you.......Leila did Not disappoint!!!
Some many things to love and rave over but just not enough time or space without spoiling anything for other readers, so I'll give a quick breakdown.
Firstly...if you've ever watched the show 9-1-1, you are gonna LOVE Dante!! Eddie Diaz is the inspiration and can we just say mmmm yes Daddy!!!
Second...who doesn't love a good obsessive , possessive stalker who would do anything for their woman?! Hopefully not just me, and Leila crushed it!! The "games" he plays with Essence 🔥🥵 on point to melting every. single. woman's stalker fantasy!
Lastly...I was overwhelmed emotionally with the ending. Not in a bad way, it just was not what I was expecting. I was in tears reading the last chapter, but also had a very small smile on my face!
Overall this is my FAVOURITE book by Leila Starling!! 12/10 must read!!!
I absolutely devoured this book in 24hrs. who doesn't love a masked stalker dark romance! be sure to always check your triggers. She feels weird obsessing over this masked stalker. She also has strong feeling for Dante. Will she have to decide between them? 😏 You will have the read this one for yourself. The masked man is so unhinged and will go to any length to get his little flower! Touch her and 💀. Essence is so fragile with everything her ex put her through but she loves pain. I enjoyed this book so much! 🖤🔥 the spice was definitely spicing in this one! 🥵🫠 oh hot damn! 🎡
Weak men hit women. Weak men hurt animals. Obviously, real men sit in the tree outside while wearing a gas mask. Okay maybe that last one is a little off. I love that this is a book with a little bit of everything, but it mostly shows that it's okay to desire pain and to be turned on by it. But there is a difference between consensual, sexy pain and a small man that hurts women and animals in order to make himself feel powerful. This book definitely has some triggers, so if you are triggered by DV, child loss, or animal abuse, tread lightly when reading this. But if you are the type of person that likes reading books with sexy stalkers, fantastic firemen, and the sweetest pup in the world, you will not regret reading this book.
There were definitely a few times that I wanted to grab Essence and tell her she deserved so much better. At the beginning of this book, she is caught in the cycle of violence and accepts how Evan treats her. She is sweet and kind and has a firefighter that desires to make her feel all of the things that she desires but can’t have with Evan. Dante has had pain and has suffered the loss of his child. But he has found someone that makes him feel alive and happy. He wants to take Essence away from her abusive relationship but has to break through to her. He has his own unique way of dealing with the hurt and pain he has been through, and it definitely isn’t healthy. But his connection with Essence has brought him back. He wants to be everything she needs and will do anything to give her that. I loved the powerful dynamic between these two characters. But of course the best character is Lunchbox. I thought he was so cute and the way Dante immediately took to him made me so happy.
Carnal is the second book in this series but can be read as a standalone. It isn’t too long (about 250 pages) and is one that will catch you with the chemistry between the two MCs. It is definitely spicy, and it will definitely get your blood pumping with the sexy stalker in a gas mask. There are some rough parts, including loss of a child, DV, animal abuse, mentions of unaliving. But the amazing chemistry between the main characters and the high energy story is definitely worth reading if you like stories on the darker side.
Carnal by Leila Starling is the second book in her Deviants series. The book is a dark romance and while there are dark books but then there is the La Brea Tar pits/Black hole level of darkness. Not to say that this book has no bright spots because that is not true. Dante/Him and Essence are both sweet, giddy and lovable while also being twisted in ways that for some readers would be too disturbing. Essence is a schoolteacher serving preschool/toddlers. She is also in a toxic romance with an abusive boyfriend, Evan. Paradoxically, Essence enjoys pain with her romance if the pain comes from a place of caring (hint, Evan doesn’t care). Dante is a firefighter and is openly enamored with Essence and doesn’t understand why she remains with someone as uncaring as Evan; he wants to be the only one to give her the pain she craves. Sadly, Dante has a son who passes, and his death is an integral part of the narrative. So much complication! In addition to Dante and Evan, Essence has a stalker and she is torn between her stalker, her current nasty boyfriend, and the dreamy (but twisted) Dante. What is a girl to do? So many choices! Conclusion: Readers should heed the trigger warnings. This book was extremely dark even as I marveled at how childlike, sweet and volatile our two main characters were. Like Dante, I could not imagine why Essence remained with Evan. Was it because their names started with the same letter😊)? I haven’t read the first book in the series, so I am not sure if there is any overlap. I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to readers of dark romance, just be sure to be prepared to cringe at some of the mutual masochism displayed by both characters. Dante also took some chances that were extraordinary…he was lucky not to have gotten caught. It was also refreshing that Dante was an average guy (unnaturally gorgeous, yes) but an average guy with an average job, low-key counting his pennies. https://theretiredreader.com/f/carnal...
Omg this book is dark if you have triggers but soooooo *chefs kiss*
I cant recommend it enough. Duel Pov between the main characters Essence & Dante (inspired by 911 character Eddie Diaz) ... i really cant/wont post anymore about it because it'll ruin the story but

Carnal is a dark stalker romance with themes that some may find disturbing or uncomfortable and is recommended for readers over the age of 18. It is the second book in the Deviants series, a series of complete standalones where each story follows a different couple whose opposite paraphilias make them the perfect fit. Each book features a masked stalker.
♤ Synopsis Six months was all it took for me to get hooked. Addicted. Essence Robinson is everything I want in a woman, and I’m determined to make her mine. But her boyfriend is standing in our way, and I can’t continue to let him live knowing what he does to her every day. She’s so fragile, so breakable, and she smells so sweet, like the most delicate flower. Once her boyfriend is out of the picture, we’ll be able to start a life together. I’ll stop at nothing to get what I want, and what I want is her. Even if that means burning the world to ash to make it happen. Essence is mine—mine to hurt, mine to break

They begin having play dates between her nephew and his son, who is her student, but then his son dies. She tries to comfort him and he tries to get her to leave her boyfriend. She soon finds herself wanting to when things become physically abusive! However when masked stalker gets involved, she finds herself torn between wanting Dante and her stalker, only problem is, the boyfriend’s still around!
Dante, the MMC, is a hot firefighter who becomes a little obsessed with the young woman that he rescued from a house fire. He begins to spend time with her on play dates, then when his son dies, he begins leading a double life in order to make Essence his. While he is pursuing her, he also is hunting the person who killed his son.
My only complaint and reason for 4⭐️ is due to the cheating part of the story line. I feel like it didn’t have to be added in there and the story would have been better without that part!
Includes:
🔥 Primal play 🧑🚒 Domestic Violence 🔥 Child loss 🧑🚒 Animal Cruelty/Neglect (not MCs) 🔥 Knife/fire/breathe play 🧑🚒 Breeding Kink 🔥 Masochism/ Sadism 🧑🚒 Masked MMC 🔥 Dub/Non-Con 🧑🚒 Cheating by MFC 🔥 Public Sex 🧑🚒 Light Daddy Kink 🔥 Stalking 🧑🚒 Pierced Peen 🔥 Firefighter/school teacher 🧑🚒 Obsessed MMC
I'm going to start this off by saying that this is the first book that I have read by this author. I am OBSESSED and will be going back to read book one and the others that will come in this series.
This book had me hooked from the very first moment that I started this. I literally almost read it in one day because I couldn't put it down. This follows Essence and Dante and their story.
Essence is in a house fire and gets rescued by this firefighter. She is in a terrible relationship with someone who doesn't give an absolute crap about her, puts her through it all. Essence is just doing what she needs to do while putting up with him. All while having dirty thoughts about the masked man who watches her through the bedroom window.
Dante is completely obsessed with Essence, he will do anything and everything for her. He will do anything to make sure that Essence gets away from her abusive boyfriend.
I mean who doesn't love a masked man, someone who will protect you at all costs, watches you, loves your dog! I mean what more can you ask for!?
The emotions I went through while reading this! My heart was breaking for both of these characters because of everything that they went through. The love and connection that Dante and Essence have had my heart skipping beats. The spice was definitely spicing and I couldn't get enough! I mean the ferris wheel scene 🥵 yes please
This dark, emotionally charged romance-thriller follows Essence, a dedicated teacher trapped in an abusive relationship with Ethan. Haunted by her past, her parents are gone, her sister distant, Essence finds herself with no true safe place. Things grow even more tangled when she begins being stalked by a mysterious masked man, a figure who both terrifies and strangely awakens something inside her.
Enter Dante, a firefighter whose life is marked by loss and secrets. He’s the father of Leo, one of Essence’s students who tragically dies in a fire. Dante is also the masked man, living a dangerous double life, hiding his identity even as he burns with the desire to protect Essence and punish Ethan for what he’s done to her.
What follows is a relentless, twist-filled ride of heartbreak, danger, obsession, and forbidden attraction. Essence and Dante fight their connection at every turn, pulled together by trauma and passion, yet torn apart by lies, secrets, and the constant shadow of death. Just when they think they’ve reached the breaking point, they face their ultimate threat: the man responsible for Leo’s death, who is determined to destroy them both.
With raw emotion, shocking revelations, and pulse-pounding suspense, this story asks: how do you find love and healing when everything around you is fire and ash? The journey of Essence and Dante is one of survival, vengeance, and ultimately, against all odds, redemption.
Carnal by Leila Starling isn’t just a love story—it’s an obsession wrapped in barbed wire. From the first page, you’re pulled into the mind of a man who is equal parts seductive and terrifying. Six months was all it took for him to spiral into a dangerous addiction, and his fixation on Essence drips from every word.
What makes this book so compelling is the raw intensity. The prose is haunting and claustrophobic, trapping you inside the single-minded determination to claim the woman he sees as his. He views her fragility not as a warning but as a temptation, and his need for her escalates to chilling heights. The tension builds as he plots to remove her abusive boyfriend, not for her freedom, but to tighten his own grip.
This isn’t a story for the faint of heart. It’s dark romance at its most brutal, exploring themes of possession, desire, and control in a way that’s both disturbing and utterly mesmerizing. Starling doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable—she leans into it, making you question your own boundaries as a reader.
If you’re looking for something sweet and fluffy, turn back now. But if you crave a story that will crawl under your skin, keep you up at night, and make you question the line between love and obsession, Carnal delivers in spades.
✦ 𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 – Carnal is the second book in the Deviants series and it follows Dante and Essences. Dante is a man consumed by obsession, the kind that crosses every single line, while Essence is sweet, delicate and completely unaware of the storm about to take over her world. From the beginning, their story is raw, dangerous and filled with forbidden tension that keeps getting stronger with every chapter. The writing is so smooth and addictive that I literally finished it in one go. Each scene pulls you deeper, giving you chills and goosebumps while also making you crave more. Dante’s intensity is unmatched, he is dark, possessive and unapologetically obsessed, and that made the story so thrilling. On the other hand, Essence’s softness and vulnerability balance it all, creating a push-and-pull that felt powerful and heartbreaking at the same time. What I loved most is how bold and fearless this book is it doesn’t hold back, it just drags me into a twisted yet beautiful storm of emotions. Dark, messy, passionate and completely unforgettable. This is the kind of story that stays on your mind even after the last page. Thank you so much author for the free ARC!
I absolutely loved this, Dante had me laughing and falling quick. His character is so fun. And Essence is even better, I loved her character so much. Her sass and everything about her is amazing. But my favorite was Lunchbox. 💛

Carnal is one of those dark romance reads that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go until the very last page. Leila Starling delivers a story packed with dangerous allure, sharp edges, and an atmosphere that keeps you teetering between fear and desire.
The tropes alone are irresistible—masked men, morally grey characters, primal play, knife and fire play, and the ever-thrilling element of stalking. Starling doesn’t just sprinkle these in for shock value; she weaves them into the heart of the narrative, making every scene feel charged with tension and intensity. The masked mystery and primal dynamic build a sense of both danger and seduction, while the knife and fire play heighten the raw, addictive energy of the story.
I devoured this book in one sitting—it was that addictive. The pacing is relentless, the chemistry between the characters is intoxicating, and the morally grey undertones make it impossible to look away.
I would absolutely recommend Carnal to readers who crave dark romance that pushes boundaries while keeping you utterly hooked. If you love stories that balance heat, danger, and obsession, this is a must-read.
Carnal is not here to play nice. It’s the kind of dark romance that grabs you by the throat and whispers sweet depravity.
Following the masked stalker themes of Primal, this second installment in the Deviants series dives deeper into obsession, paraphilias, and the dangerous allure of being truly seen — even when it’s through a predator’s eyes.
Leila Starling crafts a world where desire is weaponised and boundaries blur.
Essence has been living a life of abuse and doesn't know how to get away from her boyfriend. Desperate to be seen, and loved, she lets a masked man into her life, not like she really had a choice.
Dante has lost so much, and now his obsession is the one person he can't seem to have.
6 months, he has been waiting patiently, but he is done waiting, now the games begin.
Tropes: Masked stalker Obsession as romance Opposite paraphilias Dark protector Cat-and-mouse tension Morally grey leads
Trigger Warnings Stalking and psychological manipulation Non-consensual undertones Violence and emotional trauma Sexual content with power imbalance Dark paraphilia themes
Spice 🌶🌶🌶 High – intense obsession, psychological tension, explicit scenes
I had the pleasure of reading both book 1 and book 2 of this series as ARCs and CARNAL did not disappoint. Showing both sides of his personality so he knew that she would love all of him even with his dark side but little did he know that she would crave both sides of him. The loss that Dante suffered through found him needing her more and more he claimed her and gave into both thier dark desires. Evan definitely had to go bye bye ! The way Essence and Dante need eachother is just like fire they burn better together they deserved a better life so they made one. The spicy scenes were on point the Ferris wheel was great but left me wondering what happened to the picture on her sister’s phone 😬😂 also love how the sister has the same name as me haha. Leila did an amazing job with book 2 and I can’t wait to see what she brings to the table next.
Please check your triggers before reading As always stay spicy 😈😋
Essence, is rescued from a fire where her abusive boyfriend had already escaped. After she is sent home she notices a shadow watching her, he is in black clothing with a gas mask covering his face. She has also made friends with the fireman who rescued her, Dante. He’s also going through heartache after his child is k!lled in an accident. Their story starts to intertwine, in different ways, she sees him as her support, but he has other ideas and he’s willing to go to any lengths to ensure she is safe, protected and his!
Again, a quick read, it was similar to ‘Primal’ but not, if that makes sense 🤷🏻♀️ there are some comparisons but the characters are their own. It was written to be predictable for the MMC but we are treated to a few little twists, spice, some emotional parts, a smattering of m^*rder and it all comes together to be a good read.
Adult responsibilities: ignored 🙃 Finished this in one sitting. How am I supposed to be a responsible adult when my stalker is literally perched on a tree branch outside? 🙈🌳
Essence is the type of woman who still believes there's good in someone, even when they've treated her like hell. And Dante? Oh, he's my type 🫣 Unhinged, dangerous, the kind you know will ruin you, drag you into the fire, and still make you beg for more 🔥
And I was so not ready for that unexpected twist. Like, how did I not see it coming? 😮💨
A 5☆ read. The ferris wheel ride? 🎡 Umm... Let's just say your girl is still biting her lip every time she remembers that particular ride ☺️ Daddy makes sure we'll never look at the heights the same way again 🥵🙈
⚠️ Careful… this story comes with a stalker. And trust me, he's creeping closer than you think 🫣🍃 Some parts of this story are heavy and might not for everyone. Check those trigger warnings. Your mental health matters 🌼
Okay, besties... "Carnal" wrecked me in the best way. This is Dante and Essence’s story, and let me tell you, Dante is not your typical book boyfriend… he’s the kind of masked st@lker who oozes danger, obs€ssion, and that deliciously forbidden energy we all secretly crave in our dark reads. Essence? She’s sweet, delicate, and completely unaware she’s about to be swallowed whole by him—and oh, the tension is chef’s kiss.
The writing is smooth, addictive, and unapologetically bold. It doesn’t tiptoe around taboos—it dives headfirst into obs€ssion, poss€ssion, and raw, carnal need. Twisted, beautiful, and absolutely unputdownable. Read the TWs, grab a drink, and prepare to lose yourself to Dante’s darkness.
