Hey, bud. It's Captain Rusty, gearin' up to haul a load of space freight through the Vorn Abyss. Sounds like a heavy-metal band, but it's a patch of space with wonky gravity, where your ship gets pulled in more directions than a dog walker at a squirrel convention. It's gonna be a heck of a ride, but our old rig can handle it. Probably.
Me and Piper are ready to kick off our honeymoon as soon as we get back, but Murphy is always watching, and the universe has a way of rearranging your plans faster than a tornado rearranges a trailer park.
Mike and Jenna will be spending the trip in close quarters, and watchin' them dance around each other is more entertaining than a three-legged cat chasing a laser pointer. I tell ya, if a good crew can laugh it off when things go sideways, this mission is gonna have us in stitches.
No Stress Space Express is a series about finding your true family, told with the common-sense wisdom of Jerry Boyd's Bob and Nikki series (Bob's Saucer Repair), and the low-stakes world building of Travis Baldree's Legends & Lattes. Join Rusty and his crew for a heart-warming, laugh-out-loud adventure with no tension, and no drama. Just good clean fun, great friendships, and a little romance too.
Jack Bodett lives at the corner of duct tape and destiny. His humorous science-fiction tales are populated by folks who are equally good at building spaceships and building friendships. He believes that with a good sense of humor, a willingness to help others, and a well-stocked tool belt, anyone can bang together their own happy ending.
Nobody hates anyone. Nobody lies. There is no killing, wars, profanity, or out of marriage sex. Its a bit silly, no doubt about it, but it's good wholesome fun. They make friends wherever they go and always ready to help someone in need. In this story there is an actual space collision, but nobody is hurt or killed and even that turns into the best honeymoon anyone could imagine.
....for things to go wrong, I finally stopped looking. Then BLAM! It did! And it was a doozy. But in the end, Finally! It did straighten out. A light enjoyable series that takes you away from the intensity of Main Line Science Fiction. Like rolling the windows down to smell the scenery! Good Job Master Bodett! Good Novel
The No Stress Series continues. This one like the other books is a fun humorous story that lacks villains, and the main characters manage to make unexpected things work out for the better. It is nice to see people getting along and able to work difficulties out. Yes, these are interesting and fun books, so start with the first of the series and enjoy.
I just finished reading the latest book in the series and loved every minute of it. This series is one of the best that I have ever been able to read it's full of science and with plenty of humor.
Rusty, Piper, and their friends are aboard the mothership saucer with their hauler ship when they are asked to help deliver medicine to a planet full of sick people. Trouble strikes along the way and they have an entirely different road trip. A great story.
With a slow, boring glitch in the middle around ship coupling glitches, it still is a fun continuing romp with a positive attitude. Nice to read about people living and expecting “the sunny side of life” to over shadow adversity and “Murphy”!

A continuing joyride!!! Only "Good Times" and Happy Adventures. Simply suspend disbelief and enjoy the "Road Trip"! A sweet continuation of the series.
This was another fun reading story just as fun as the first two I recommend reading them first more interesting aliens. Fast paced story kept me interested.
Author Jack Bodett is back once again for the third novel in his “No Stress Space Express” series, the ongoing, laid-back adventures of Earthborn good-old-boys Rusty Ray Dixon and Mike Harlan, and Martians ladies, Piper Skyflare and Jenna Moondrift. Rusty & Piper are now newlyweds while Mike pines after Jenna, and all four are still participating in an ongoing medical disaster that began in Book #2.
Bodett rolls out the familiar “A Cozy, Low-Stakes, Slice-of-Life Adventure” universe I’ve come to enjoy ... but this time around, the “low-stakes” element gets a little bit of a challenge. As the foursome joins the space convoy to deliver three alien doctors and a large medical supply to the planet in need, something unexpected occurs. The result is that Rusty & Piper get separated from their ship and find themselves in a scenario that calls for the titular “rocket ship road trip.”
No spoiler details, but along said road trip — which is mostly a fun, literal breath-of-fresh-air — Rusty & Piper eventually find themselves facing another situation that tests that “low-stakes” theme.
Between the midway plot curve-ball and the final act, “Rocket Ship Road Trip” is definitely the most intense book of the series so far, but don’t worry — for Bodett’s “No Stress Space Express” series, “intense” is a relative term. There are still plenty of good times to enjoy, and good friends for our foursome to enjoy it with; that’s just the way Rusty & Piper and Mike and Jenna’s new life rolls.
And the closing pages set us up for a pleasant little surprise. For the details, I’ll have to check out Book #4. Which is fine, since I was planning to anyway. :-)
