What a cracker of a story! Ms. Stone is well-versed in the mafia lifestyle, and if this is the standard we can expect from this new series, then we are in for a treat. I loved this Mafia-themed story because it was so entertaining and fast-paced. I wanted to savor and take my time, but I was so caught up in the mystery, danger, and intrigue that I plowed through the book without a break. This is a contemporary romance with dark elements, but not too dark. I enjoyed the game of cat and mouse, as well as the push and pull between Megan and Alexander.
Megan ended up under Alexander’s control after being caught trying to steal information from a club owned by the Volkov Mafia Family. What a merry dance she led him on. Megan constantly challenged Alexander, was sassy and feisty, and was always quick with a retort. I laughed at her humorous banter and how she went toe to toe with Alexander, but she had met her match in him.
Alexander was the quintessential Mafia Boss—the antihero of my dreams. He was dark, dangerous, brutal, and unafraid to get his hands dirty. I admired his strength, warmth, and love for Megan. Yes, she drove him crazy, which led to delicious punishments, and let's not forget the explosive chemistry between them.
This was storytelling at its finest. It was smooth, flowed well, and was a joy to read, and I was left wanting more from these characters. Bring on the next installment sooner rather than later.

This is a story of Megan and Alexander. She is a very naive girl who attempts to do something very stupid to one of the mafia leaders. Then you have Alexander, who is the leader of one of the mafia families and catches Megan in the act and forces her to come home with him. This is book of the Vicious Sinners series and the Volkov family.
This book was a great read, if you could get over how naïve and stupid the FMC is. She goes and tries to steal something from Alexander who is the head of the Volkou family, and when he catches her, she still thinks she can just walk away. She never really understands how much trouble is in even when he shows her in true mafia form. Alexander is the eldest brother and is a massive jerk in the beginning of the book, however his growth is something to be respected.
I gave this book four stars as it was very well written and the MMC made me fall in love with him. However, if I was judging based solely on the FMC I would have DNF’d it as she became almost to much to handle and she made me yell at the book a few times.

Decent but frustrating
First time author for me. Writing was fine, the romance was romancing, the spice was spicing.
But the FMC nearly had me DNFing, she's nearly TSTL (too stupid to live).
I get she's naive about somethings but all she did was lie lie lie to the MMC.

Girl you snuck into a club owned by the bratva, you snuck into an office & got caught red handed & lied (horribly!) over & over & over..
Went home with a USB & when the MMC showed up you lied again!
All FMC did was lie & demand she be allowed to leave over & over. At one point the MMC laughs & says you truly don't realize how much trouble you're in.
Dude had to bring her down to the dungeon in his house to get it through her thick head..
And still it wasn't until way after page 100 that she FINALLY reveals why she was ordered to steal from him & the MMC is p!ssed because she really should have told him from the beginning!
Frustrating because she's being taken care of but doesn't understand why she can't go home.
Finally, FINALLY, she gets it, she's a loose end that the bad boys want to close up & the MMC says Now she gets it!!
Yeah, I will read more from this author because the plot etc was good & kept me engaged but lord please create a smarter FMC.

I liked this one. It was entertaining. There wasn’t anything about it I didn’t really like. The plot was really good and I found myself more interested in it than the romance. Very interesting situation that brought the characters together.
It’s very trope heavy, and although I enjoyed it, it doesn’t have the 5 star sparkle for me. I found it easy to put down. Regardless, that ending really sold me and now I’m curious about book 2

This book had me completely captivated and consumed. Alexander and Megan give off a lot of potent electricity and sparks. Their story is packed with smartly written and impactful combination of action, drama, suspense, twists, spice and emotion.

I loved this mafia story about Megan and Alexander. Megan is a defiant spitfire who is caught In Alexander's office trying to steal secrets from him. He stops her and decides that she will be his! Their banter is awesome and their attraction to each other is off the charts. I enjoyed the mystery and suspense of this story and I always love mafia alpha men. I also loved the spicy scenes and thought overall this was a great book and liked this author's writing style very much.

I loved this duo, these two mismatched but oh so right for each other characters. Alexander and Megan fit so well together and I really enjoyed reading about their struggles and successes as they navigate this relationship.

What a story! I’m a lover of Mafia stories especially when they are about a Russian family! The darker and dirtier, the better! This new series is about the Volkov family. Alexander is so delicious, so dark, so depraved and oh so perfect! When he comes upon Megan in a place she shouldn’t be, all bets are off! I knew from the beginning that these two would be volatile and they most certainly are! Megan is young, beautiful, sassy and keeps Alexander on his toes! I loved the back and forth witty banter! And their chemistry? Holy hotness! I really enjoyed the storyline and the characters were just perfect. Quite a bit goes on in this story that will make your head spin, but it really held me captive from beginning to end. I need more of Alexander and Megan and more of the Volkov family! Truly a phenomenal story!

This is a well written easy to read, action packed story, with family, friendships, emotions, drama, suspense, twists and turns, enemies / lovers, an age gap, touch her and die vibes, secrets, tension, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, dark mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Cliffhanger- No- we get an HEA
MMC- Alexander- head of the Bratva, he is bossy, controlling protective and will get what he wants
FMC- Megan- Sassy, protective of her friend, willing to do whatever is needed for her friend, enjoys Alexander if she won't admit it!
I always look forward to books by Measha Stone and was excited about a new serious. Her books always have the best characters. I can count on spiciness along with a good plot line. I stay involved in the story until the very end. She writes about stubborn strong-willed women, who meet men just as stubborn who have ways of making their "women" behave! This new series is going to have some great books with characters I can't wait to read about.

Along with Alexander he has two brothers and the banter between these brothers was hilarious. I loved the carefree attitude his brothers had. They were serious when needed but they enjoyed having fun with each other. Alexander also has a sister who run circles around her brothers, but they will do anything to keep her safe. His sister becomes immediate friends with Megan. I'm hopeful Megan has a good friend Mira who she is protecting through this whole book. Alexander sends Rurik to find Mira and bring her back home to Megan, and I'm excited to read about Rurik and Mira.

Hello, Daddy Alexander, he was definitely packing the daddy vibes, because Megan was a goner for him, the way he played her body, she sung for him so beautifully. The spice was spicing. Those smexy scenes were primal and carnal but oh so hot, steamy, dirty, sinfully wicked and deliciously depraved. Because the way Alexander loved his wife, the sexual banter and foreplay lit the pages on fire, as Megan has met her match in a man who loves to give it to her hard, rough and dirty. Because fulfilling not only his needs, but her basest needs will make for a long and happy marriage.
Highly recommend both the author and the book. Looking forward to reading Mira and Rurik’s book.

Mmc forces mfc into a relationship, & whips her with a belt. Not sure I believed they would fall in love. Ridiculous plot as well.
I always find this author a bit hit or miss, and this fell into the miss for me. Alexander whips Meghan, forces himself sexually into her, threatens to put her in a dungeon and they fall in love??? 😂😂😂 Then there’s Meghan who is so stupid that she’s incredibly annoying! She breaks into the leader of the Bratva’s nightclubs office, steals a drive, and lies constantly to Alexander who apart from the above ☝️ behaviour treats her really well. This is all because her ridiculous friend got involved with some really bad people and thinks that they can get away with it! The plot is just so stupid!!
Meghan constantly asks to go home, yet she knows she’s in danger from the mafia, yet she still demands to be let go. 🙄🙄🙄 She’s an idiot! Then there’s her ‘best friend who just leaves her to deal with the mafia, and stops sending her money to pay them. Some friend she is! At times Meghan doesn’t even know if she’s still alive! I certainly won’t be reading her book.

Measha captures your heart from the first chapter!
I fell in love with Megan who struggles through doing something she would never ordinarily do, but needs to to save her friend, Mira and herself. She almost has her endeavor in the bag, when she is caught. Alexander recognized Megan as an out of place staff member, so when he confronts her about why she was in this room with hidden boxes, he knows she is lying with the tall tale she is telling. I’m surprised by his next actions and continually surprised by treating Megan different than anyone else who would attempt to steal from him. Megan is a very resourceful person, when faced with adversity but she met a brick wall with Alexander who won’t take “No” for an answer. As Alexander works on the mystery of why Megan was asked to steal this particular thumb drive, Megan actually provides a clue from one of the photos. Yet, the puzzle of who provided the insider information to Megan isn’t nailed down until the end and you’ll be turning the pages to see whodunit and wishing for a happily ever after for Alexander and Megan!

Because, she had. He is after all a Mafia Boss that is dark and dangerous with a brutal side to him. He was never one to let others do his dirty work because he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty. This book is full of twists and turns. So much so that it will keep you reading well past your bedtime. I don't think that I laid this book down. It is one that you do not want to miss.

The author is back with a great new series. This is the first in the Vicious Sinners series. Alexander is the eldest Volkov brother and for the first part of the book a total jerk. The good thing is he grows on you quickly and on Megan. Megan is the one who slips under his skin, and he intends to keep her there. She's stubborn and sassy and keeps Alexander on his toes. The spice is fast but the relationship if a slow burn - the best of both worlds. The main characters are fleshed out & the reader feels for them and what they are going through. The secondary characters are interesting, so the reader looks forward to their books. Alexander truthfully states how his brothers will react when they find their ladies & the author alludes to two who might be them. The ending sets the next book up beautifully. This is a great beginning to a new series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The start of a gripping new mafia series from Measha Stone and Devious Secrets was a fabulous introduction to the Volkov brothers. Fast paced with all the customary drama and intrigue I’ve come to expect from this author as Megan dared to try and steal from head of the Volkov mafia family, Alex Volkov.
The overall story for was well written with a fantastic flow to it and you’ve got to love a dominant hero like Alex. I loved the dynamics between him and Megan. Alex, the dark and brutal mafia boss, and the Megan the feisty girl who stood up to him at every turn. Their dialogue was wickedly delicious and suggestive as she went head-to-head with him but then again, given his preferred idea of punishment who could blame her for pushing his buttons when the end result was so satisfying for them both. With a great story with all the twists and turns I could want and strong secondary characters, I’m looking forward to reading more from this series.

This mafia-themed tale was not just entertaining; it was a thrilling ride from start to finish. I found myself so engrossed in the mystery, danger, and intrigue that I couldn’t put the book down. The contemporary romance includes dark elements, but they strike the perfect balance without becoming overwhelming.

I always enjoy Ms. Stone’s mafia books.
Her men are possessive and obsessed with the women they fall for.
And Alexander was all that and more.
He is used to being in control. His word is law. No one defies him.
That is until Megan comes stealing into his life.
Megan is way over her head. A mysterious man demanding she steal from Alexander.
Her best friend is no where to be found. And a mafia boss wanting his stolen money back.
As if her list of problems isn’t long enough. She now has Alexander to contend with.
Their story is entertaining and sexy.
The spice is spicy hot and wickedly delicious. Even the punishments are hot. 😉
Blend in some mafia mischief going on and drama that kept me guessing as to the who, what and why. And you have a good story to get lost in.

Whew!!! Devious Secrets by Measha Stone is the story of Alexander and Megan. She certainly isn’t the best sleuth…as is realized when Alexander discovers her in his office….she TRIES desperately to talk herself out of this mess….to no avail. She’s not here for herself…but, for another….Nevertheless, Alexander is livid…and has his own ideas about rectifying the situation.
Really LOVED this story!!!! Alex is certainly suspicious of her…considering she is in an off-limits area…and her ‘why’ story is junk. Things progress from here…and she is defiant, adamant, and unrelenting in her belief that he is nothing to her…and should let her go. Alex is adamant that she produce the proof that she has no ulterior motive for being there…and there…the dichotomy is born….
Loved this story so much!!! Not your typical…but, certainly an engrossing read!!!!! Ends in a cliffhanger!!

Gritty Mafia Romance!
Megan is sneaking into a Volkov building; Obsidian. She has been given instructions on how to access some important information, but she gets caught by Alexander Volkiv himself. Pressure is applied, but there is greater danger than from the Volkovs, and suddenly he finds himself protecting her himself.
Megan hates his controlling nature. She wants to go back to her life (even though it is not safe). emotions run high, and the chemistry is off the charts.
“You shouldn’t be holding me like this,” I say, losing myself in the warm spice of his cologne. “No? Why is that” He tucks the blanket tighter around me. “It makes it harder to hate you.”
Entertaining, fast-paced, and romantic story.

In order to save her friends life, Megan is being tasked to enter the Volkov club, Obsidian, to find Alexanders hidden office and escape with information on Dexter Thompson. Megan believes she has been successful when she is able to leave with a flash drive. Unfortunately, she is wrong. Alexander recovers the drive and is determined to discover who is behind her theft.
Alexander is overprotective and possessive of Megan. He is constantly on alert for any danger that might accost her. He eventually insists on marriage as the only way to keep her safe and always “his”. Will Megan agree to this marriage idea? Will Alexander be able to override her objections? Will he truly be able to keep her safe?
This is an excellent story, and I loved it.

This is the start of a new series Vicious Sinners that gives us one dark Mafia love where we find Megan doing what is necessary to protect her and her best friend from a dangerous loan shark. Just when she thinks she’s pulled off the unthinkable only to be caught by no other than Alexander Volkov, the Russian Mafia. To see how Alexander thinks he has the upper hand with Megan she gives it right back to him and their interactions are just precious full of sin and danger. When this feisty woman gets under his skin does he claim her as his and their situation becomes one dangerous situation where they find themselves fighting the Italian Mafia. This ruthless man makes decisions to protect Megan and those in his way need to watch out! When will we have the next story in this Series!
