I'm still enjoying this series. It seems like the focus seems to be more on sexuality than gender, which I wasn't expecting. Especially since the male lead literally keeps changing into a girl.

I enjoyed this volume even more than the first one.

I think the fact this series focuses on love is love, no matter what, really helps give it a wholesome feel, especially as Chiaki struggles to control the transformations during their high-stakes outings. Both main leads are so freaking cute together and it’s very similar vibes to things like the Fly Me to the Moon manga. I just love them together.

The plot gets more interesting as the rules of the shift are tested, making it harder for Chiaki to hide the secret. The mean cousin who also has the curse is such a thorn in the side type of character, but I bet she will eventually change her mind as she deals with the same drama.

But the friend, Haruki, who falls in love with the girl version of Chiaki is gonna be a very fun part of this story I can tell. His attraction to Chiaki’s female form adds a lot of tension to the group, and it makes the love square way more complicated.

A 4 out of 5.

im intrigued enough by the story and the some of the comedic elements are quite funny, but the way the boobs are drawn is crazy to me within the otherwise cute art style

A good read for the LGBTQ community though the cousin has immediately turned to my least favorite character

I received this manga from the publisher (Tokyopop) in exchange of an honest review.

I was so delighted when I spotted this one in the (rare) mails I got from TokyoPop reviewteam. I really enjoyed the first one and I was curious to see how the story would continue!

Well, quite depressing would be the word. I can understand where Mashiro (Chihaya’s cousin) comes from and I understand that she wants to make sure her cousin knows that things aren’t easy/the curse is bad, but come on. I was expecting some seriousness, but not that much. It was actually just too depressing for me. I am glad that Hodaka spoke up, gave Chihaya some confidence. Even the scenes with our shark teeth dude weren’t as fun as I had hoped. If anything, I felt for the guy. Only having a shirt to protect him. Not knowing what the heck just happened. Worried if he will turn back. It was just too dark for me. In the previous volume we also had a few darker moments, but this was just too gloomy for me to start a new volume with.

Then later we meet Chihaya’s best friend Itoha. sighs And more annoying/not so happy moments happened. Apparently she is jelly that Chihaya is dating Hodaka. She really loved Chihaya and feels betrayed. Instead of just I don’t know talking to her bestie, she is being an absolutely horrible bitch towards Hodaka. I am glad that Hodaka, in his weird way, talked to Itoha, but seriously it shouldn’t have been needed. At least I am happy with how that ended and now I am hoping that Itoha just relaxes a bit.

Though haha, we added another thing to it as Itoha saw Hodoka as girl.. and well. Let’s say I expected the reaction but still had a big laugh, this is going to be interesting next time. Wait until she learns the truth. Oh boy.

I did love the moments not too depressing. Seeing the two of them get closer. Call each other by their first names. Go on dates. Hodaka getting clothes from Chihaya and them having a whole session checking out what fits and what not + trying out bras. Seeing both of them flustered during those moments. Seeing them share some very hot moments. Seeing them share food and find out what the other likes. I love that they are getting bolder and want to experience more together.

And the art is really fun and I enjoy the style! The expressions especially are so fun but I also love the gender switched Hodaka and Shark Teeth (though his teeth looks still very weird in this new form).

I am a tad confused, I mean Hodaka kisses Chihaya quite often and just keeps his clothes on, Shark Teeth kisses and he only has his shirt left? What? How? What is happening?

All in all, not the worst but also not the best. I wanted more fluffiness and humour and less drama/dumb shit/characters that should just go away. I hope that the next volume brings back some more fluff and cute.
