O how I love thee, Julie Johnson.

I've come to believe that Julie Johnson can write a good, give-you-all-the-feels romance with her eyes closed. She has yet to disprove my theory, or shake my conviction that she is, and will always be, the Queen of Hearts, Lady of Binge-Reading, Protector of Real Love and Warden of Dreams.

It is refreshing to feel that you are not alone in your fears, that someone, even a fictional character, dreads the same monsters. It gives you the power to face them. Shelby was a heroine that managed to appear as well-composed, in control even when everything was breaking apart. The hurt she hid, the insecurity, the knowledge that she was invinsible and alone sent a mournful melody straight to my core. Conor was the bandage to her wounds, despite his tough exterior and his bossy ways. I've wanted him to be happy for so long, that seeing him fall head over heels for feisty Shelby seemed surreal. They were equally stubborn and controlling, but their fights were fogged up with steam. Conor gives the definition to alpha male, and let's just say that I wouldn't mind being locked up in a cell with him...



There is one thing, though, that didn't sit right with me, that seemed far-fetched, even in a book dealing with the freaking Bratva (yes I knew all about Bratva because I am a well-educated woman who watches Arrow); while my heart was busy doing her drum thing and my stomach cartwheeling, a tiny voice belonging to the stiff, cynical old lady known as reason kept repeating that everything happened way too fast. This never bothered me before, since (with the exception of Phoebe and Nate) the previous Boston Love stories also unfold in a short time-period. However, in this instance, I couldn't ignore the voice, and the nagging feeling of insta-love that was a cloud to the perfect sunny day of So Wrong It's Right. I know things like that happen in real life; according to my intel, my own parents got engaged after dating for two weeks (Mother claims it was love at first sight, Father that is was a case of dark sorcery or voodoo). I fear, though, that this connection and committment is difficult to establish this soon. This issue, in conjuntion with the occasions where Shelby was a little over the top with her reactions and refusal to listen to Conor, led me to rate it with 4 stars.

So Wrong It's Right is a sweet, emotional and intense story about finding home, that will speak to every romantic soul out there!

Oh My God. Shelby and Conor. Hunt and Gallagher. Where do I even begin...
I LOVED THE SHIT OUT OF THIS BOOK!




While all the books in Julie Johnson's Boston series are technically standalones, I'd say this one is the MOST standalone of them all. It's told entirely in Shelby's POV and focuses completely on the suspenseful (but still hilarious) drama she finds herself in thanks to her asshole ex-husband. The rest of the Boston friend group isn't around in this book -- all busy with new babies/jobs/marriages -- so Shelby is truly on her own own to deal with some pretty scary things.... Thankfully, the outwardly gruff (but secretly sweet) FBI agent Conor Gallagher is there to help her... and steal her heart in the process.

I know JJ says this is the last book but GUYSSSSS. I can't lie, I would LOVE to see an epilogue novella with all of the couples in the future. Just to touch base with the entire gang, see where everyone ended up. GIVE ME CLOSURE. I want it. I need it.

Whether you're a fan of the rest of the Boston series or you're picking this up without any previous trips into the Boston Love Story world, I guarantee you'll enjoy Conor & Shelby's story. SO WRONG IT'S RIGHT delivers on so many levels. A perfect blend of humor, passion, intrigue, suspense, action, and -- DUH -- a sweet, swoon-worthy romance between two well-developed characters. Highly recommended!

This was so much fun! And this is a rarity for me but the female MC Shelby was AWESOME! I totally love her sense of humor and she was such a good, solid character that I didn't mind it was single POV. A feel good read that left me smiling like a goon.

I have to be honest, my eyes start to water a little when I think about this series coming to a close. We have been through it all with the fierce heroines of the Boston Love Series… love, heartache, unrequited love, A+ humor, passion, and some serious suspense, but I have to say this last installment takes the freaking cake.

Fans of the Boston Love Series are going to die once they get their hands on this novel. Not only do we get inside the head of the healthiest of all the health-nuts in Boston, but we finally, FINALLY GET CONOR GALLAGHER’S STORY!!! Do you know how long I’ve waited for this? Years, people! I have waited years to learn more about the mysterious, FBI bad-ass that is Conor Gallagher. And, ladies, hold on to your panties because I can assure you that you are not ready when it comes to this man. Some SERIOUS SWOONING was happening while I was glued between the pages of this novel.

Shelby and Conor are electric. Their quick-witted banter left me holding my breath, the story-line was clever and more action-packed than the novels it follows, and the romance was searing hot. Julie Johnson doesn’t hold back as she delivers one of her best novels to date. It’s a perfect ending to a perfect series.

Seriously, I am going to miss these characters and their quirky, messy, flawed, hilarious, and romantic world. But… that’s what binge reading is for.

Story 2.75 stars rounded up. Narration 4 stars
I usually like rom-coms and for the first fourth of this book I did. But it just was not that good. I thought the fmc was pretty ridiculous and her thoughts while in horrible danger were even more so. So unrealistic. Not to mention the time she stopped the hero from sleeping after three sleepless nights because she couldn’t sleep and wanted to talk. Or tried to get the hero to let her come on dangerous missions or a host of situations(tied up in the trunk of a car)that she would be thinking all sorts of things that had nothing to do with her dire situation. And as far as the FBI hero? I think he would have been fired for sleeping with his charge(her) and the author had the other agents taking bets on the two getting together. Would not happen! Don’t get me started on instalove either. This isn’t a YA book. I kept hoping it would get better. A happy ending doesn’t change my thoughts on a book that could have been so much better. A epilogue would have been good to tie up all the loose ends left as well. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed other books in this series.

So Wrong It's Right is exactly what I have come to expect from Julie Johnson's Boston Love Series. It has funny, rife with sexual tension and filled with suspense.

It's a bitter sweet day, another series has come to an end and even though I could spend my life with in the pages of the Boston Love series, I know I must move on. Shelby is the last of our girl standing in the group of women. She tried to portray perfection, never letting her friends too close and keeping everyone at a distance so they couldn't see what a mess she truly is.

"Sometimes, the heroine isn't perfect. Sometimes, she's not a born warrior at all. She's just a normal girl, pulled from the sidelines into the fray."

And oh freaking man, isn't that truth in Shelby's case! She was minding her own business only to be kidnapped in her own home. She was thrust into a middle of a case she had no idea she was in the middle of and it was so much fun to watch it all unfold.

The hero if So Wrong It's Right, is Conor, who met at wedding the previous book, FBI agent and hot as sin. This man is broody, intense and down right irresistible. This is a hate to love romance and the tension between the two of them could be cut with a knife.

If you haven't read any of Julie Johnson's work I *highly* recommend this series. Grab a copy So Wrong It's Right and get ready for a heart-pounding, panty dropping, laugh out loud romance!

It's just Julie-style. If you've read other books by her you know and love this writing. Connor and Shelby take it up another notch. The constant bickering and bossing themselves around makes you wonder who might win at the end of those days. The story itself is a common one. Nevertheless are the hilarious monologues just that, hilariously funny. Already the first chapter had me hooked to the book. Unfortunately it's the last book in the series, so no more Nate, Chase and all the others. That's sad, but Shelby's HEA is a wonderful close-up of the series. Bottom line, I loved every sentense. Keep going Julie!

Disappointing end to this series. The friends arent included, the reader doesnt find out what happened to the husband or the bad guy. A Russian Mob guy isnt going to come all the way for this prized possession and just leave without it. A real FBI leader wouldnt come tearing in driving a wrangler either.

Seemed like the author just got sick of writing so ended the book abruptly.

Well this was different than I expected and not in a good way…
This was the perfect example for an amazing concept with bad execution. This was supposed to be a romance but honestly I didn’t felt a single spark or any chemistry between Shelby and Conor, they kissed and obviously they fell in love with each other but I just kept asking why.
Unfortunately I didn’t enjoyed this book at all.

All it takes is to read the prologue of So Wrong It’s Right by Julie Johnson to know that you are in for a hilarious, entertaining ride that you can’t wait to strap in for.
I have to admit that I have been waiting for Connors story for quite some time. The gruff, intense FBI agent from the Boston love story series has always peaked my interest; with his stoic alpha nature he never quite managed to totally hide his buried softer side. Enter Shelby, with her bulldozer sassiness and wit she manages to unknowingly crumble Connor’s walls of solitude. The wonderful part about this story is that the newly freed Connor now takes up the quest to smash Shelby’s self constructed isolation wall of her own. As Connor is protecting Shelby from a mess that her ex husband has embroiled her in, we get to see a vulnerability in both of these characters that is refreshing and authentic. The quick, funny, sharp banter between these two characters jumps off the pages of the book and keeps the reader rooting for their happy ending. This is Julie Johnson at her best; inventive, astute, and clever she weaves a story that has humor and is sexy but at the same time has depth and real complexity and profound insight into human emotions.

Ahhhhhhhhh I am gutted this is the end of the Boston Love series! I have read and reread this series so many times, I feel like the characters are my bffs. I am sad it’s the end, yes but what a way to go! Johnson gave us such a great story packed with suspense, gunfire, and romance.

Shelby and Conor (he’s mine. Don’t even think about it) are at constant loggerheads from the moment he rescues her and while she’s happy to be rescued, she’s not exactly thrilled with Conor. These two have an explosive start to their relationship and it doesn't abate. They’re both control freaks in their own way and watching them butt heads constantly was a great source of amusement for me. I so enjoyed all the drama and suspense but I loved the romantic aspects, Conor was particularly swoony at times, hence the fact that I’ve claimed him as my own.

I would have love love loved to have some of the characters from the previous books put in a cameo appearance because I really freaking love them and wanted a bit of an extra glimpse but I’m guessing it was done this way to highlight that Shelby was alone. Queue sadness on my part. This book can be completely read as a standalone but again, I love the whole series and would read them all again and again.

I'm oh-so-sad for this series to come to end, but damn if it isn't the perfect ending.

Told entirely in Shelby's point of view, So Wrong It's Right is Conor and Shelby's story. It's just so wonderful. Shelby's (already-all-but-officially-over) marriage is anything but perfect and Conor's the lone-ranger type, but they're inexplicably drawn to each other.

Julie Johnson brings her descriptive prowess to this tale (seriously, is there a writer more apt at the perfect exaggerated metaphor?!), and the perfect balance of action and emotion. I loved Conor as a denim-clad-non-knight-in-shining-armor, and Shelby and her slightly over-the-top inner monologue are so relatable.

The only thing that would have made this book even better? Some guest appearances by other Boston Love characters. I GET that it really made more sense for the story that it's just Shelby and Conor, but damn if I didn't want some guest appearances anyway.

We’ve been hearing from Conor for a while now, just bits and pieces here and there, but we finally get to know him *swoon*.... and LOVE him! After reading this book, i’ll be dreaming about those indigo eyes for daysssss!!

And Shelby...
Another amazing heroine , but really, I expected no less from Julie. Heroines are her specialty! This author is mind blowingly talented at creating women who are simultaneously who we are and who we want to be.

There is so much to love about this book, do yourself a favor and READ IT NOW!!!

I had some issues…

The very beginning of this book felt so illogical. If two men are confronting you the last thing any sane person would do would go home and confirm that they are the person these people are looking for. It would’ve made more sense for her to go to one of her friends even just for the afternoon or evening. Who goes home knowing that these bad guys are looking for them and obviously would probably go to our home next to look for her. The fact that she had decided she loved this guy after only knowing him a week was also completely hard for me to believe.
