THE MAID'S NEW HUSBAND

Rate this book
After seven years of captivity, Ana escapes—driven by one desperate to find the son stolen from her as a baby. Every dangerous step she takes is for him. Every breath fuels her determination to bring him home.
But he’s no longer the helpless infant ripped from her arms. He’s growing up in a millionaire’s mansion, a world away from the life she imagined for him. And the only way inside? She must seduce the husband, remove the wife, and take her place.
The wife is bedridden, voiceless, a tragic shell of the woman she once was. And the husband? He isn’t the charming, grieving man he pretends to be. His secrets are darker than she ever imagined.
Blinded by ambition, she becomes his maid, weaving herself into his life, determined to be his next wife. But she should be careful what she wishes for…

It was disappointing to find that Ana became so twisted that she'd find a new concubine for her now husband. Also, if David knew EVERYTHING about her past, how did he not know his son was really hers? There were many twists in this book, so it held my interest. It got a little dark, so warning to any survivors of different kinds of abuse.

Didn't see that coming

The writing is excellent.. The story in this book, I thought, was better than the first one. Great last chapter and epilogue. Off to see if I have any more of her books on my Kindle.

A little too dark. Didn’t like the story line as much as the first book.
