I have been aware of non-binary gender identities for about 15 years, but have only a pretty basic understanding. This book was an amazing way to learn about many different perspectives and experiences. At times challenging, occasionally joyful, and always moving. I feel inspired to learn more.

Most essays come from people living in the US, but from a range of backgrounds.

I listened to the audiobook version and the reading was ok, very functional, but not that great at portraying the emotion of the pieces. Still, the words themselves were enough on that front.
