First off thank you so much for the ARC. I hate to give a not so stellar review of someone’s hard work but the writing kind of drove me insane. It was constantly switching back and forth between past and present tense, sometimes in the same paragraph. The sentences also felt very choppy to me. It was a great story, just needed a little bit better execution,

I really really enjoyed this book!! The FMC was so relatable and was so easy to connect with. There were quite a few twists and turns leaving you feeling different emotions on this rollercoaster ride that feels impossible to get off of. (More that I didn’t want to) HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I loved that I could actually relate to Lillian, who is the FMC. She is more fully built and actually speaks out about why she is uncomfortable in her own skin. I appreciate that Audra allowed the audience inside her head along this journey of self love. I also could relate somewhat to Adonis, whose name I am obsessed with, because he is only trying to please his father and follow in his footsteps. Many of us want to please our parents but we ultimately need to breakout on our own path. The plot is great, and the twists…didn’t see them coming! There is found family, HEA with twists, he falls first, and so much more. I’m obsessed with this world and I can’t wait for the next book about two of the other characters you meet in the book. Pick this up!!!!

ARC Review – *Unseen* by Audra Lenna Lee** Rating: ★★½
I loved the premise of this book. A hot bad boy paired with a plus-size FMC, where he helps her see her own worth? Yes, please. I was so excited to dive into this story.
Unfortunately, the writing style just didn’t work for me. There were a lot of plot holes, typos, and incorrect or missing words that really pulled me out of the story. It felt a bit unpolished, which was disappointing because the concept had so much potential.
I almost DNF’d this book a few times, but the friendships, characters, and drama kept me going. I really hope the second book is stronger.
(Also, side note: Apparently, I don’t know how to read emails properly, because I only just finished this book thinking the release date was the review due date—oops! sorry!)
That said, I understand this is Audra’s debut novel, and congratulations are definitely in order—it’s a huge accomplishment to write and publish a book, something I honestly could never do. I just think a stronger editing team would have really helped this shine.
I’m excited that this is just the beginning of the series, with Unheard up next. I’ll definitely be checking it out, but I hope we see improved flow and tighter editing next time around.

The writer make the FML so relatable the way she thinks and feels make it so easy for the reader to relate too especially if you been or where a plus size girl but even if you aren’t it give the insecurities we all had at least once in our life’s. The way it easy read anywhere and any time, it grab your attention so quickly and give you the desire to read it without stopping. The spice level of this book is top tier get right into it. Will absolutely recommend this book to many of my friends. Plus who dosn’t like a bad@ss biker boy who makes girls heart throbs especially our girl Lily <3 he isn’t only bad@ss but obsessed with the female lead. Being able read the beta version and now seeing the book slowly go from unedited version to edited version to becoming available soon is absolutely a journey I truly just love the way the author writes and can’t wait see more. Ps I am also dyslexic when I say this book was so easy read I had no complications at all.

This is the debut novel for Audra Lee, and I have to give her a huge congratulations for that. With that being said, I feel because this was her first book it explains the choppiness and slight errors found when reading. I only felt a few of them led to certain sentences being hard to follow and read. But please do not let this stop you from picking up the book. I know the following work from her will be even better.
I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. Lillian (Lilly) the FMC and Adonis the MMC have two completely different personalities but work so so well together. Lilly is a college student who is unlike your "typical" book main characters. She is considered plus size, suffers from PCOS, and is uncomfortable in her body and how she looks. But throughout the book you get to see as she grows into her body, and lets her mind be more powerful as she becomes more comfortable with how she looks. She has 2 best friends Liz (who has secrets of her own) and Mary who care deeply about her feeling because of how she was treated in the past. And have secretly promised her father they would look out for her and keep her safe after his death.
Adonis, a hired assassin has been tasked with finding the pawn (Lilly) for their main target and kill them both. But after spending time getting to know Lilly in order to get more information on the target, he starts to develop feelings for her which goes against rule number 5 of his job. Never develop feelings during a job. But as he finds himself falling in love with her, he realizes just how bad this job is going to end. But not before a fight between them, where Lilly finds out the truth about who he is and what his plans for her were.
Will he complete the job or will something else get in the way ..... guess you need to read it to find out, because I'm not giving any spoilers.

This book has an intriguing premise and strong emotional depth. Lillian’s journey of self-worth and discovery is relatable, and Adonis is a complex, mysterious character who keeps you turning the pages. Their chemistry is compelling, and the tension between them adds to the drama.
However, some parts felt rushed, and certain plot points could have been explored more deeply. While the story is engaging, a bit more development in their relationship and the world-building would have made it even stronger. Still, if you love a mix of romance, secrets, and emotional growth, it’s worth the read!

First I would like to say thank you for the ARC. I really hate to leave a negative review but all thoughts are my own.
Summary:
Adonis lives in a loveless world. His father controls him and his friends. His one goal: complete the mission.
Lillian is the plus sized friend that is used for sex and nothing more. That is until she meets Adonis.
Thoughts:
I thought the premise was really good but was poorly executed. There were so many grammatical/punctuation errors I was completely taken out of the story. I usually don’t comment on them in reviews but this was every page. Because of this, I couldn’t enjoy the story at all. If this was fleshed out more it would be better. It felt choppy at best. It was also kind of repetitive with some parts and it didn’t need to be.

A very cute story, I loved the idea of this story but some parts I felt could have been executed better. I was a bit confused when present and past were blended together and I wish it would have been more recognizable to distinguish between the two. However,the story was adorable and I loved the push and pull between these characters. It seemed as if Adonis was really struggling between his duty and his desire. I loved that he made Lillian more confident and comfortable in her own skin and there was definitely a few plot twists at the end that I didn’t expect. Overall, I can’t wait to follow this author on her journey and see what she has in store for the next book.

Tremendous book! This book was like a roller coaster , and I absolutely loved every bit of it. I was so attached to the fmc Lillian, being the big girl and all and being made fun of and falling for a guy who treated her like crap, I felt I was reading my own story. The MMC Adonis goodness can we say tall, dark, and handsome! The way he treated Lillian and the way that their relationship budded was just amazing.
This is definitely a book I would truly recommend,and there are more books to follow. I can not wait!

Could barely put it down! Fished the book in two days, while I probably should have been working lol, but I just had to know what happened next. The plot was engaging and I felt connected to the main characters. I especially loved that the MMC was a switch. I rarely read anything that shows that someone can be both dominant and submissive! This book gave me all kinds of feels. Highly recommend if you like:

There were a few grammatical/formatting errors, but common, indie authors don’t have a professional team of editors so I don’t expect perfection. I can’t wait to see how this author grows!!

For a debut work, this was absolutely precious! I fell in love with both our MCs, and as a plus size lady, it was so satisfying seeing the her get the guy. And the spice? Yes. Please. I loved how they each have a switch side!! The only thing I'd like to mention is occasional repetitiveness and some grammar, but those are minor compared to the story itself. I will absolutely be looking forward to the rest of this series!!

First I want to say I might have enjoyed this book more if there weren’t so many errors in the writing, so if that bothers you I wouldn’t recommend in the state it is in.
This idea of this book is great! The plus size main character is very relatable. I also love the inclusion of Epic! The musical. Aside from the grammatical errors this book felt very rushed. It was definitely a book I could have read in one sitting which was nice but no one moves that fast, it was incredibly unrealistic.
Also I felt that the plot of the book got lost at some point and was wondering what was going on then we just popped back into it and I had to try remember what was going on that we learned about earlier in the book.

In the beginning, Lillian is a scared girl who had no confidence. Adonis runs into her to complete a mission but ends up doing so much more. He brings Lillian’s confidence out, teaches her new things, and spoils her.
Adonis can no longer complete the mission due to falling in love with Lillian. But Adonis’ father? He demands the mission to be completed regardless of Adonis’ heart.
This book had my attention in check and my emotions spinning.
The characters, plot, twists, and love were all there. While this book still needs to be edited, it was a fantastic read and I will be recommending to everyone!

That's why I'm really excited that they've been included, because both physical and psychological violence are important to talk about.
The way Lilly's ex has treated her has affected her so much that it's changed the way she sees herself...
It's so sad that she can't see the beauty in herself (until the end when she becomes a power woman), so it's so great that Adonis shows her how beautiful and lovable she is!
Their chemistry is fantastic and their relationship is really sweet.
Everyone deserves an Adonis in their life!

The 3 stars are solely for the idea of the story, it does have a lot of promise, I could see the author’s vision. However, as other reviews already said, there needs to be a thorough round of editing, proofreading and maybe even some rewriting. There was a lot of reused sentences, for example, the
MMC characteristics were mentioned in the first chapter and mentioned again, in a very similar way, in the next, as if it was the first time being described. The POV’s of the same scene by the main characters were told differently, I could understand that it could’ve been viewed differently by each character but it makes the story very confusing.
I also believe there needs to be more depth to the MMC and his struggle to fight his father’s orders but at the same time, as soon as he learned the real reason to why she was a target, he should’ve had a made up mind about the situation, not keep going back and forth on if he would finish the mission or not. That scene with Noah, I understand it was necessary for Lilly to hear that, but it should’ve been done a different way. It painted Noah in a terrible light and made me lose a bit of interest in reading his story next. Some of the conversations between MMCs were choppy, had no context and it kind of seemed like it was missing parts of it.
There also needs to be more context of his father’s business, what did he do? what did he train the guys to do? Were the targets always women, based of the rules or those rules were just for this mission? It is a secret society thing, mafia or something else? How long have they done this? I didn’t quite understand, I would say some background on this would be a lot helpful too and give the book a bit more depth.
So, the idea of the story is good, but I believe the book should be pulled from sale so it can go through a deep round of editing and reviewing. Maybe getting some alpha and beta readers to help with that, but people that will be honest and tell the truth, so the author can come out with a much better and improved version of Unseen.
Anyway, I do want to say congratulations to the author for publishing her first book and wish her a lot of success!!

Some of the conversations between MMCs were choppy, had no context and it kind of seemed like it was missing parts of it.
There also needs to be more context of his father’s business, what did he do? what did he train the guys to do? Were the targets always women, based of the rules or those rules were just for this mission? It is a secret society thing, mafia or something else? How long have they done this? I didn’t quite understand, I would say some background on this would be a lot helpful too and give the book a bit more depth.
So, the idea of the story is good, but I believe the book should be pulled from sale so it can go through a deep round of editing and reviewing. Maybe getting some alpha and beta readers to help with that, but people that will be honest and tell the truth, so the author can come out with a much better and improved version of Unseen.
Anyway, I do want to say congratulations to the author for publishing her first book and wish her a lot of success!!

I felt like this book had good bones, but fell a bit short in the execution for me. I enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters and I think Lilly is a really likable protagonist. I found her experience as a plus size woman to be extremely accurate to my own which was amazing to see in a book but at times it went a bit too far for me, that’s just personal preference because I am very much an escapist reader. I loved how Adonis adores Lilly because she is curvy not despite it. I was at times confused about both of the characters motivations, especially Adonis’s, and I felt like both their individual characters and the reasons they like each other could’ve been a bit more fleshed out. While I thought the twists and turns were unpredictable and I did enjoy the reveals, I did feel confused at a couple places. The writing at time was a bit juvenile for me, it did get better as the book progressed, but I think the author suffers from a case of telling instead of showing. I know this is the authors first ever book and I do think that’s a really great accomplishment. Overall, it was a nice quick read, I really liked the accurate plus size woman representation and the dynamic between Lilly and Adonis. I think it’s a great start, but it didn’t completely satisfy what I wanted from it. I want to thank the author for proving me with an advanced readers copy, and I look forward to seeing what she does in the future!

I really enjoyed this book. This was a cute steamy book filled with secrets, loss, friendships, love, and plenty of spice. This book followed Lilian and Adonis. They have good banter, electric sexual chemistry with plenty of praise and begging.
Lili is a beautiful, feisty, plus sized woman who has experienced loss and abuse. She has a lot of insecurities about her body and has difficulty trusting people.
Adonis is an assassin who experienced loss and trauma and didn't feel deserving of love. Love is seen as a weakness in his world, and he can never be weak " Remember Adonis love makes you weak, and Malith men are not that." As an assassin, Adonis has to follow 5 rules when working, but when he meets lili, the lines get blurred.
I loved the progression of Lili and Adonis’ relationship. Adonis truly sees Lili, and this helps build her confidence “ I know I haven't been very sure about a lot of things lately, but I know he doesn't make me feel like Maxwell used to. He makes me confident in my body, he sees me for me. That's all I ever wanted.”

I know this is the author's first book and putting yourself out there for the world to be a critic is really brave. I plan to read the next book when it comes out and I think that this author did a good job for her first book.
I did find myself interested enough in the story to find out what was going to happen and keep reading, but the writing style was a bit hard to read, it didn't flow well at times and that kind of took me out of the story. Some repetitive things happening and a few cringeworthy phrases. Lillian also got a few nick names from her man and they were used constantly. I think I would have enjoyed the book more with better editing.

Wow….. this book was everything. I suffer with pcos and body issues. Lillian is just like that, a beautiful woman that suffers with pcos and hates the way she looks. But reading how she came to love how she looks and the power she can hold all because of the man she loves, brought me to tears. I want to be just like her. Never thought I would say that but….well here I am lol
Adonis, oh man I had a feeling I was going to like him. There was times I wish I could slap him in real life haha. He just would not admit his feelings nor accept his feelings. He thought that he had to do the mission his dad told him to do. No if, ands or buts. Only to find his target is this beautiful, bodacious woman. He wouldn’t allow himself to let get of his values and to just love. I wanted to just yell at him and tell him to F*** what he is suppose to do and just love her.
I devoured this book. I knew what it was about, but yet I was still shock with every twist and turn that happened. I got frustrated at some spots, but it wouldn’t be a good book if you didn’t feel some kind of emotion.

I enjoyed the story of Adonis and Lilly—there’s something always compelling about the hot, broody assassin trope, and the chemistry between them was definitely there. The premise had me hooked from the start.
That said, the constant jumps between past and present made the flow a bit choppy, and Adonis' indecisiveness—his back-and-forth about whether he wanted to be with Lilly (or kill her)—started to wear thin after a while.
I really wanted to love this book, and in many ways, I did enjoy it. But there were moments that didn’t quite land for me. Still, fans of dark romance with morally grey heroes might find plenty to enjoy here.
