Lidiya Foxglove grew up on a steady diet of fairy tales, folklore and fantasy and also reads way too much manga. Fantasy romance is her favorite thing in the world, but she likes it steamy. She also loves cats and tea--it's cliche for a reason!

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

This was such a spectacular ending to this series. I really enjoyed the first two books and was excited to see how the author would wrap up the series. I can only say she succeeded very well in giving this series a great ending. There is action, truth and lies that come to light, some drama and trouble they run into and ofcourse a lot of romance and some hot sex scenes. I really enjoyed this book and has a hard time to stop reading as I had to know what would happen next.

There is so much going on in Priestess Unleashed. Phoebe's fourth guardian joined the group and that creates some tension, the situation with Gilbert and Rin and seeing how their new plan works out, Nico got hurt in the last book, new problems they have to face, they have to open the gate and find the dragons and also free their country from an oppressive ruler. I think this might be my favorite book of the series with all that's going on, how well all the storylines blended together and there were some unexpected twists as well.

And there are definitely some moments where I wondered how they would make it through it. There are some difficult things they have to deal with. And I was so worried about one of the thigns that happened to one of Phoebe's guardians. Although all the guardians have some things to have to go through and deal with in this book and while the road might be tough, it was great to see how they all got through this and deal with what happened to them.

And the title fits this book as well. Phoebe has all her four guardians now and is ready to fight. I liked how she has grown throughout this series and how she takes more leader like tasks on herself in this book, but at the same time she's so normal as well, she's still just a girl and I like how she also stayed in touch with herself as Phoebe and not only the roles she has now. It was great how she is so important for this world and is sene as the priestess and people count on her, but she also stay very down to earth and gets overwhelmed at times.

I loved seeing the dynamics between Phoebe and her guardians and also between the guardians. It might be one of my favorite parts of this series and looking back to see how all the dynamics started and changed is great. There are so many great dynamics here. The situation with Rin and Gilbert who love each other, but also love Phoebe. Forest and Abel where Forest hates Abel at first and has to learn to get over it and I liked how this was resolved and Forest jealously as well. It was so well done. And also Nico with his whole stance toward this and how that changed.

There are quite a lot of sex scenes in this book, which really works here and I like how they never take over the story, but are an important part of the story. I have to admit the grand quintet wasn't as hot as I had expected, but that has something to do with the situation. Although I did like how realistic it was and how they had to move forward even tough it was the last thing on anyone's mind. And the one after that was weird too. But there is a great scene with everyone at the end that I liked. And it was also fun to see different combinations we hadn't seen before, like Rina nd Giblert with Pheobe, the two humans with Phoebe, the two dragons with Phoebe and Abel and Forest together with Phoebe.

This book also was a great one in terms of world building. We learn a lot more about the dragon world in this book and it was so interesting! I really liked seeing how different the dragons were and how there are different types of dragons and they had their own internal struggles as well. There is a bit of politics, but it was quite interesting and I am curious how everything will play out after what happened in this book.

I really like the world the author created in this series and I am happy the author will write a spin-off. There are some plot lines that aren't resolved yet that will probably continue in the next series. And I can't wait to see how the spin-off series will be and I already started guessing who will be part of Himika's harem. She really deserves some happiness after what she went through in this series.

To summarize: I love this series and this was such a spectacular ending to this series. I love how well the author manages to blend the different plot lines and themes in this book and manages to bring it all to a satisfying conclusion. The epilogue was awesome. There is a lot going on in this book and I had a hard time putting this book down. I liked seeing how all the characters developed in this book and also throughout the series as a whole. They each have their own troubles to deal with and I enjoyed seeing how it all got resolved. There are some sad parts as well in this book, but that does make sense given what's going on. And I love all the character dynamics between the guardians and them with Phoebe and how all their relationships develop. I can't recommend this series enough to fans of reverse harem fantasy romance.

Onward march

The final showdown is here. A Strawberry Girl, a battered knight, a bard, a dethroned prince, a thief and a commander who left his army and emperor. There's still a final ceremony to perform and the Black Army is hot on their heels. But when they reach the gate they learn that this all important ceremony that will bond them closer may sever the bonds between Rin and Gilbert. And then when the army reaches them something altogether different is severed. And they still have to reach the dragon king. They need his army. But the king isn't who, or what, they thought. And he has a price, too, his bride. The one currently imprisoned by the emperor.

Spoilers ahead.
So this is the end of 1 trilogy and the lead in to another. Himika starts her journey and I remember some twists and turns there, as well as revisiting several characters. While slightly more grim in some areas, this is a war, this book carries the same bantering humor as the previous books. I will say warnings for a grievous wound, torture, battle scenes, a lost family member, voyeurism, and a scene of unwanted touching. The emperor is an entitled jerk but doesn't get as far as he'd liked to have. There are some interesting twists and revelations here, though. Especially some about some of the mysterious mages. And the monsters.
The grammatical errors were a bit more frequent in this one but not horrible. Mostly tense changes mid-sentence, some misspelled words, random floating commas, little things.

The last book in this series and it was such a great read! Phoebe & her guardians take you on a journey filled with love, hope, sadness & joy. I liked that it was told from so many points of views. There are still questions to be answered and I can’t wait to read Himika’s book to get them. I’m hoping to see more of the Priestess & her Guardians in the coming books! I need more Rin & Gilbert!!!

I really love these books usually when you get good spice or a reverse harem you give up on having a good story, but that’s not the case here!

Don’t get me wrong the spice is great but so is the storyline, the world is so interesting and the characters grow together and are just so sweet I love them!

There’s heartbreak, a transformation & new power.

They get to the dragon world & enlist the help from the dragon king with the promise of marriage to the glass princess one of her guardians sister. We learned all about why & how she’s the glass princess.

There’s a show down between dragons & the black army.

One of her dragon guardians met & lost family.

There’s hope in the land for the first time in hundreds of years & a simple wedding

I love these characters watching them grow as individuals & together as a family 💕

My primary complaint with the final installment of the series is similar to my concern during the second book. There is a really good story here but it felt pushed aside to prioritize the love scenes. Again, I understand the genre of this book. I was really hoping, though, that the author would try to balance it all out during the final book. I was also really hoping Phoebe's character would evolve a bit more. She seemed to stop evolving in this book- I really wanted to see fiery warrior Phoebe. Not I'm mostly here for the men's needs Phoebe. It was still entertaining but it could have been much more. It had a conclusion and I don't feel the need to keep reading into the next part of the story. I'm taking a break from the series for now.

Pretty good. Interesting idea. Mostly superficial not really any depth but still good.

Two things that annoyed me though is how Rin and Gilbert got to keep their love and relationship when the other guys wouldn’t have been allowed the same if they were in love with another person. In love with another girl? No! No can do. In love with a guy. Oh that’s alright. The magic apparently won’t take that away from you. Just those who love girls. Love is love. Or hetero or homo and I couldn’t get past how unfair that is for the other guys. Plus when they used for to get Niko to be her guardian. If that was a reverse (someone doing that to a woman) then everyone would be up in arms and complaining. But it’s alright to do that to a guy? No!

Wow! This was a great and perfect ending to this trilogy. So many things happened in this book and I’m not the best at writing. (I’ll leave that to Lidiya) But, I will say that this book has a perfect amount of ups and downs and twists and turns and I like how it all ended up. I love all the guys and their personalities that go with their strengths and weaknesses. I love how they all pull together and make themselves a family in the end. I’m so happy that they have each other because some of them need a soft place to land. I have really enjoyed this series and look forward to what this author does next.

Action packed

I have this 4 instead of 5 just because the first book took me a little to get into. After that, I was hooked. The Priestess and her guardians have it all-
- Romance, danger, action and of course a little bit of angst. The dynamics between the guardians is intense and it's summer's your blood when they all combine to love their Priestess and ultimately conquer all. Amazing!

This was a great ending for this trilogy!
This book has ups and downs, twists and turns, and leaves you with a satisfied feeling at the end!
They become a family at the end that accepts each other as they are, in which everyone contributes with their strengths and where their weaknesses get balanced out!

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

The third and final book in the Guardians of Sky & Shadow trilogy and man did it go out with a bang. Phoebe is really starting to come into her powers now though that does not stop the bad guys from trying to get in her way. They have quite a few surprises up their sleeve that I so did not see coming. I started to despair and then came another twist that really blew my mind. As if that was not enough the grand finale was the cherry on top of the cake. I never would have been able to think of half of this stuff. It was great. If you like magic, romance, danger, and lots of steamy scenes in a reverse harem novel then you so have to try this book/trilogy. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Good book

Well the story is over. The ending was satisfactory. Pheobe took more control and made some decisions. Nothing stood out as very annoying eexept for the whole fated mates. Magic making you love someone is kinda lame.

The plot is pretty good and interesting but the ending was pretty weak. I think this series was weakened by the fact there wwere too many PoVs. If there were just one, or two, it would've better.

The story was ok but I was glad when I finished the book as well. All in all I liked the series, but the characters are not really all that interesting in the end and I expected more.

Really satisfying wind-up of this series. This last book of the trilogy is the best of the three, and held my interest all the way through without me ever feeling the pace was too rushed, and providing a long look at the until-now mysterious world of the story's dragons and their realm. The transformative nature and the different clans of dragons in this story differs from other dragon stories I've read, and I found it intriguing. There's some very interesting world-building going on here.
