Jay's an introvert and a weirdo who has always preferred the company of books over people. Pair that with a dirty mind and a brain that won't quit making up stories and you have Jay L. North.

Jay has always been a voracious reader, which is probably how most writers start out. In Jay's case, they began writing their own stories at a young age. When they couldn't find a book that suited their fancy they simply wrote it themselves - with varying results.
Then they grew up, got a proper job, and almost forgot about their joy of writing.
Only when they hit a wall after years and years of stress and an unhealthy work environment did they reassess their priorities and take up writing once again.
And with a truck full of mental health issues, their stories are meant as pure escapism. They write spice and steam, and they choose to leave the profound and angst-y to others.

They live in the far north of the world where the winters are harsh and the forests are deep. They live in an old castle with their family which, apart from a few humans, also includes three Golden Retrievers and a small fire dragon. They spend their days happily reading (or writing) by the fire or walking in the woods.

Jay L. North's characters have some of the filthiest mouths I've ever read and that's one of the reasons why I keep reading! 😊🔥🌶 This series is a great mix of sweet and dub/noncon, veering mostly sweet in my opinion. (read the CWs if you don't like darker books because your idea of sweet may differ). There is a good, interesting plot, although the majority of the book is erotica. I know MM erotica can be hit or miss (overpriced, overly short novellas, horrific formatting, cringey dialogue, no editing/proofreading, etc) but none of that is an issue with Jay's books.

I loved Becoming My Brother's Bitch and needed more so you can’t imagine how excited I was when Jay announced they were writing another taboo omegaverse story. Goodness, I absolutely enjoyed Becoming My Father's Breeder. It was a delightfully dark taboo omegaverse story (with mpreg!!) that is not for the faint of heart.

Poor Bo was dealt a bad hand in life and to make matters worse when he awakens as an omega things go downhill fast.

However! He gets reunited with the father he never really knew who ends up being his Alpha and mate. This story was basically cover to cover non-con but towards the end, the story becomes really sweet. Once Bo and his father get together and escape that horrid pack they have a wonderful future together to look forward to.

Jay writes top-tier dark & steamy erotica that is not for the faint of heart (seriously do mind the TWs and if it’s not your cup of tea move right along). I also love how they actually go taboo taboo when they write omegaverse. No holding back because we got mpreg!! It was also lovely seeing Simon and Liam happy together with their pups. Now with Bo, his father and their pups joining them, they’re forming their own little park and it’s quite adorable.

Overall I enjoyed and loved it! This story ticked off many things I like in my darker and tab00 reads and I hope we will get more in the future!

10 reasons why you should read Becoming my Father's Breeder:
If you’re into dark, kinky taboo, this is your holy grail because:
1. It’s rare to find well-written taboo erotica that’s full-length (or close to it). Breeder is 43k, which is a blessing in a world of half-baked shorts.
2. Bleak worldbuilding that makes everything hit harder.
3. Multiple intergenerational cest situations—if that’s your thing, you won’t be disappointed.
4. 50 shades of noncon—loving noncon, shifted noncon, cest noncon, kinky noncon (somno, etc.), rapey noncon… yeah. It’s all here.
5. Forced pleasure—need I say more?
6. Altered physiology & biology = absolute mindfuckery.
7. Mindf*ck HEA. If you consider that a beta never would’ve been happy with what was coming, but being an omega makes him happy because it’s what he craves now… yeah, that’s some deep programming.

Set in the same world as Liam's, Bo's story offers another glimpse in the pitch black and violent Lester's pack. In a world, where personal choices and boundaries, mean nothing, Bo goes through the unimaginable horror of experiencing first hand unwanted, life changing transformation. The author has captured masterfully his inner turmoil and conflicting emotions. Pain and pleasure, submission and domination, twisted together, gain a new meaning here, far away from the conventional understanding. The HEA is also not what it traditionally means. But Jay L. North is definitely not what we call a trad author either, because their stories are a heart-stopping, mind-freezing walk into the kind of dark, where the light never comes back on.

First off, most people won't like this book. Why? Because they failed to read or understand the trigger warnings. This isn't mainstream erotica and I get so damn tired of ppl reading and rating books they should understand to stay away from.

Becoming My Father's Breeder is D_A_R-K. The blurb says it's a back-to-back noncon, and it is.
And it's awesome! If you like dark, brutal and mpreg, then this is *chef's kiss*. It slapped hard this one.
I liked it even more than book 1 probably because I really like somno and there was a lot of that. This book is hot as h***, dark as h***, and just amazing. I just never get disappointed by North's writing!

Highly recommend (to dark-lovers who don't expect a traditional happily ever after.)

It took me quite a bit of time for me to read this one after reading book one of this series. I am no stranger to dark or taboo reads but these ones seem to hit me hard. The content pushes past my comfort zone which oddly enough is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this author. This might not be everyone’s cup of tea, outside of the obvious taboo nature of the relationship between Bo and Luke, this version of the Omegaverse is violent and very dark and the lesser of two evils is the one you find yourself rooting for even if they are not real gems either. I will say that there is a surprisingly sweet element when it comes to the main relationship of the book which makes the characters HEA a relief after everything they are put through.

If you're looking for dark, 'cest, and omegaverse shifters, this is what you need to read. This standsalone well, since I haven't read book 1 and the lore and how the designations work was explained a few chapters in. This is such a unique world where everyone is either an alpha or beta, and omegas are turned/made on a full moon with a certain ritual. That sets up such a unique cesty guideline and world yummm. I need to go back and read book 1.

This book continues after the events of book 1 and follows poor Bo as he's targeted and made an omega. It had all the darkness, non-con and taboo of book 1 with high heat but I'm glad they get their own version of a HEA. I was also happy to get a glimpse of Simon and Liam alongside these two as well.
