About the author

Diam Consta

16 books11 followers
Diam Consta was born in Athens and traveled extensively throughout his childhood within Greece. Being genuinely attracted to a wide range of disciplines he was able to build relationships with a particularly diverse group of people and be exposed to different viewpoints which well suited his personality of openness, acceptance and an incessant thirst for the “different”.

From the age of 16 he started traveling abroad, as much as he could. After completing his Design studies in Greece, he moved to France to study French literature. Four years later he relocated to London to begin his career in finance. His creative spirit remained alive regardless of his employment environment, participating in painting and photography exhibitions (solo & collective) and continued to travel within Europe, in Asia, North Africa, the United States and Central America.

He started writing more than 15 years ago, initially in Greek and French and then exclusively in English. All his works to date are fiction with roughly half of them being poetry and the other half novels. His literary work is focused primarily on allegories and symbolism with as much humor thrown in the mix as possible. He uses an unassuming writing style, suitable for all ages, trying to help the reader be transported in actual situations and emphasizing the role emotions play in life.

This is a wonderful collection of Poetry, Short Stories and Novels. Funnily enough, what I enjoyed the most was the sequence of the book. From Novel to Poetry to Short Story...It's beautifully written, with a very clear emphasis on feelings. I also very much enjoyed the approach on self-appreciation issues. There are no "empty advises" or your "stereotypical all is going to be fine" stuff. It's a very positive approach but without clichés. I really love it and it's from a new indie author...happy to support and highly recommended!

If you want to have a proper view of Consta's works, this is a must read. I really like having all the works in one book (8 in total) and was pleasantly surprised by the works which have not been published as individual books (much deeper meanings, more profound thoughts expressed). It's nicely put-together and the sequence of the works makes it very readable. Really nice!
