Dr. Alexis Jackson has thrown herself into her career. A normal day at the hospital turns her world upside down. Her brother’s best friend, Wolf Jones, is shot and in need of help. She rushes to save him, only to eventually realize that she has feelings for him she never expressed, but his recent brink with death gives her a change of heart. Her brother is sent to a safe house for protection—a gesture that leaves Alexis under the protection of his club, the Sons of Destruction. More specifically, in the trusted care of his best friend Wolf.
Wolf Jones, owner of a tattoo shop, is a returned member of the Sons of Destruction motorcycle club. He hung up his vest years ago and vowed to leave the street life behind him. A normal evening of locking up his tattoo shop leads to a near death experience. When he learns the shooters are looking for his best friend Abel, he goes into protective mode. With Abel off to a safe house, his little sister is now under Wolf’s protection.
Can Alexis and Wolf keep each other sane while they clear Abel’s name? Or will they drive each other crazy fighting the feelings they have for each other?
Ms. Jones, this is the second book I have read by you. This series has been 🔥. Wolf fit right along with the other MMCs. He didn't play about his lady. Alexis had his heart for many, many moons. It was just that the opportunity that finally presented itself for him to swoop in and lock her down. He did just that by being her protector, provider, and confidante while she was with him. She was the nurturing, medical individual he needed in his life after being shot. She made sure to get all proper testing run before he even left the hospital to ensure no infections. Alexis and Wolf were made for each other. The Ying to each other yang. Wolf officially became clean to Abel about Alexis, in addition to putting a 💍 on her finger. He wanted to secure his future with his lady.
I am looking forward to reading other books in this series. I have read quite a few already. If you haven’t by any chance, got into this series, do so. You will fall for the MMCs that protect their women.

This was a forbidden romance, and I was here for it. Wolf is best friends with Able who gets him into some mess and needs to leave his sister with Wolf while he has put them both in danger and needs to figure out the next move. While both Wolf and Alexis have always had feelings for one another this will be the 1st time they get to be alone for an extended period of time. Wolf applies pressure instantly once he knows who is taking care of him and wakes up to the news of who saved him. I like how he presented it and allowed them to be in their own bubble. Alexis is a grown women and I get your brother is your everything but bro has no room to talk at this point, so girl go for what you want!!! Everyone knew about it but it took the two of them to decide enough was enough and went for it. The bonds were special all the way around and though Alexis made a stupid mistake everything was good. Good quick read!

Book rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice rating 🌶️ Tropes:second chance romance; forbidden lovers; friends to lovers
I loved everything about Wolf and Alexis' story. It was such a cute and delightful story. Wolf and Alexis had always been attracted to each other since they were teenagers but didn't act on it because of her brother. After Wolf is shot, Wolf and Alexis have to go into hiding together due to the danger. Wolf starts to apply pressure because he wants them to finally be together. I was glad when they got together because they both deserved to find love after their childhood traumas. The love scenes were intense, and their bond was special. I really enjoyed the family and friendship connections especially her cousin, Joy. The author did such a wonderful job with Wolf and Alexis that I was entertained from the very first page. Great book!!
Wolf was crazy because it was best friend fell in love with the little sister or older sister. You know how brother are about their sister not missing with their friends. Dr.Alex love her brother but she could help that her heart want her brother friend and he was a hot man that owned a tattoo shop so he was well off and when her brother Abel made a mistake that got him shot and dr.Alex has to go to the safe house with wolf to keep her safe when her brother disappears. Over the time they were spending time together and they admitted their feelings for one another and told the brother later that they wanted to be together. The men she got kidnapped and they race for time to get to her. 10/10 you would read

I don’t really have much to say about this book. It’s the classic brother’s best friend trope with the brother being pissed if any of his friends try to date his sister.
I feel like there was all this talk about why Wolf and Alexis couldn’t be together and fighting feelings (on Alexis’ end) but no payoff for it once they got together. We barely spent time with them as a couple, and when we did, Alexis was usually mad at Wolf about something. I did cackle when Wolf ate the punch that Abel threw once he found out Wolf and Alexis were in a relationship though.
But yeah. That’s all I really have to say. There wasn’t anything that made me overly happy or want to complain.
This standalone its lit. Wolf scared me there for a min I’m glad he survived that hit from the mess his Bestfriend made. Babygirl was on her job to make sure he lived. Then she had to be stubborn know she supposed to have been laying low and got her ass kidnap 🤦♀️. But I’m glad they found my girl and killed that group that was thinking they was finna get some money and Abel guns. U did good on the first book that I read of urs and I’m looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
Aww, this book was very sweet. I really liked Wolf for Alexis. They both had childhood trauma issues, but it seems they learned to navigate it. Because of his friendship and brotherhood with Abel, he never let his feelings be known. Abel had a rule, none of his friends could date his sister.
However, Wolf getting shot changed that. Lexxy saved his life and was tasked with his after care. Close proximity brought them closer. Great story of friendship and love.
This is my 1st book by this author and I didn’t know what to expect, but extremely happy I took a chance!!!…It was a tad bit different from the other books I read in this Motorcycle Club Trope!!!…I love the reformed motorcycle story line and I love the closeness and friendship that still exists for the friends!!!…I love how Wolf made his intentions clear and was going to do what needed to be done to be with Alexis!!!… The book was written very well and it definitely give you the feels!!!…
Whew, Wolf had me hooked from start to finish! I loved everything about him his loyalty, his intensity, all of it. But Abel? Yeah, I couldn’t stand him. I really don’t like brothers who act like they’re their sister’s man overbearing for no reason.
I was so glad Wolf got his woman in the end, but Alexis… girl, why would you leave the house knowing damn well you were in danger?? FMCs gotta stop doing the most when the stakes are high!
Despite that moment of frustration, I loved the story overall. Definitely one I’d read again
2.5…brothers best friend is usually a hit or miss because 7/10 it give possessive/emotional incest. I don’t think this necessarily gave that but Abel said bout 10 things if that and the way people talk around and about him irritated me. The whole MC thing was an afterthought and they were kinda lame. It was a bit boring imo. I’d be willing to read something else by this author as the writing wasn’t a turn off but it was definitely like damn let’s move this along 😭
I loved how the author talked about Wolf and Lexys history so that the reader could establish a relationship with the readers. I also, love how Abel and Wolf tried to protect Lexys innocence. This book is short but packed with a lot of punch. Go ahead and read the book so we can chat.
Once I started reading I could not put the book down. This is my first 5 star rating.
I was happy to see Wolf and Alexis was finally able to express their true feelings for each other. It took years before they both crossed that line of no return.
Its funny that the one person they both didn't want to cross regarding their new relationship is the one who ultimately brought them together. I'm happy they chose themselves.
In the end everyone got what their hearts desired along with a little therapy.
I enjoyed this book because Alexis kept her cool to save her brothers friend and went to take care of him. Although they acted as if they couldn't stand each other, the close proximity proved otherwise.
There was a lot of alpha going on, but the brother would have gotten hit, too. If he had just opened his mouth, this all would have been avoided.
Alexis and Wolf wasted so much time hiding their feelings for each other, then her brother not wanting to ask for help almost caused three people their lives. Communication is the key to an successful friendship, relationship basically everything, when you need help just ask don't allow pride to get in the way and because of pride things took a wrong turn great read
Wolf and Alexis have been friends forever. Wolf is her brother best friend. Her brother told them years ago they could never be together . They held back for his sake.
But when Wolf is shot and ends up in Alexis emergency room everything changes.
This book took me took through it all. It is a world full of emotions. I love how Wolf explores his emotions and learns to step out and express them. Alexis learned how to live, love, and forgive. It is not always easy learning how to forgive
Wolf had no ideal that the Doctor that saved his life was the woman he always wanted. Alexis spoke words to him that made him want to live. Great love story.
Wolf and Alexis deserved the happiness they received. Going against Abel was hard on the both of them, but they weren't trying to hurt him. Once Abel saw that Wolf would protect Alexis with his life, he was okay. Their happiness was beautiful! Excellent read!
Sometimes people get in their own way and have to drill down to the reason why. The past never stays buried and skeletons definitely don't stay in the closet. Just wondering did dude who shot Wolf ever come out of hiding?
I don't understand why Abel didn't just ask Wolf from the beginning? Alexis left the house was crazy 🤪 knowing the beef that started with her brother and the simple crew,
