I liked the first book with Sage but felt like this one was less suspenseful and a little predictable.

After loving book one, I couldn’t wait to dive into Keep Running. Its opening twist hooked me instantly. Sage West’s journey through PTSD adds depth and the investigative suspense keeps you guessing from start to finish. Some clues land almost too neatly, but that brisk momentum makes it hard to put down. A richly drawn, character-driven mystery that leaves you eager for book three.

The writing is fine; an easy to read mystery/thriller that’s interesting enough to keep me wanting more. I enjoy Sage West’s [breakneck speed] mental health journey but I do admit that his name gives me pause every time I read it — as in, I have to remind myself that Sage is, in fact, the MMC.

I’d have rated this higher but along with those gripes above, some silly mistakes happen here and there in this book: the number of murders are miscounted early on, the repetition of “It’s Agent Sage West here,” as if everyone knows precisely who is he before phoning them, along with minor grammatical errors that had my gears grinding.

I enjoy the series and will continue on, I just hope these small issues don’t hang around for the duration of the Sage saga. ✌🏼

A good read

Great and intriguing story. I liked how Sage is fighting to recover from his trauma. Several murders, each committed by a different person and using different means of killing. The characters were well crafted and interesting.

Continuing Improvement in PTSD

Interesting improvement in Sage’s PTSD, leading to the solution of this multiple murder case. With an included romantic ending, it gives an interesting start to the next book.
