It’s the midpoint of Candace Reid’s first presidential term, and the stakes have never been higher. Political adversary Lawson Klein is poised to announce his candidacy, vowing to challenge Candace in the next election. With control of Congress hanging in the balance as the midterms approach, threats continue to brew at home and abroad.
As Candace navigates the relentless pressures of governing America and maintaining global leadership, her wife, Jameson, juggles the demands of family life and political advocacy—all within the confines of what she calls the world’s biggest “mouse house.” Jonathan Fletcher, Candace’s ex-husband, battles terminal cancer, further complicating their already demanding lives.
Separated by duty but united by love, Candace and Jameson draw strength from each other while discovering unexpected sources of support. Told through their alternating perspectives, Revisions offers an intimate glimpse into the challenges of their partnership, their evolving family, and their hopes for the future.
Revisions is the 18th installment in JA Armstrong’s best-selling By Design Series, following Candace and Jameson Reid as they live, love, and lead as America’s most unexpected First Family.
I adore this family. JA Armstrong creates a wonderful family, full of love and values. I enjoy getting caught up in their lives. This book is in the 1st person POV, alternating between Candace and Jameson. It gives a more in-depth view of their thoughts, relationships, and each other. I love that this series continues to grow and am happy there will be a couple more.
In Revisions, JA Armstrong gives readers a welcome, easy-reading bridge between Executive Order and her next edition in the By Design series, Campaign Trail.
Candace and J.D. bring us up to date on the status of their lives as President and First Lady of the United States. Armstrong presents the two more intimately than usual by having each offer her perspective in alternating first-person chapters.
Again, Armstrong captures our interest with the solid relationships between the two main characters as well as with their children, other family members, and friends and colleagues, who are often one and the same.
In all of the 17 books, to date, in the series, Armstrong does an exceptional job developing characters and constructing engaging plots, scenes, and dialogue that meld into captivating stories.
A nice short story about Jameson and Candace life at the White House. Jameson thinking she is not ready to talk with people about their lifestyle or make a wrong comment they the media can twist to use against Candace. She just wants to punch them in the mouth and be done but it doesn't work that why in regards to the President. Candace is trying to please everyone that came to see her at a rally but things go wrong and people got hurt. So groups will do anything to make it the President fault and try to make her look bad so they can hope to take her down and be scared. Candace is why to strong of a woman to let awful people or her advisors tell her what to do. In the end they are just to beautiful women that love each other. Can't wait to read the next book
Anyone familiar with Candace and Jameson’s relationship already knows their love is one for the ages. This look into their thoughts was a pure delight. Candace and Jameson are one of my favorite couples. I thoroughly enjoy any chance I get to be in their world. Thank you, JA Armstrong for creating these wonderful Bible studying women!
I love love love this series. These pair are my favourite characters Armstrong has written. If you haven’t read this series then what are you waiting for. The world is one big mess right now, so sink into Candace’s life and see what could happen if the right woman was in charge.
I love this series and this unexpected first family!
This is a very quick read with a little bit of Candace and Jameson's thoughts. With the political climate today, I would vote for Candace Reid in a heartbeat. She's smart, insightful, steady, loving and compassionate - and she listens! How novel is that?
Another brilliant book in a brilliant series. This talented author grips me from page 1 and I find it very difficult to put down. I love the characters, the storyline, everything about this book. I've enjoyed each and everyone of the books in this series and look forward to the next one. I just wish you was here now.
This is the 17th installment in the series. I loved the early books a lot. This was just okay. Not bad, but not as good as some of the others. It's shorter than I would have liked to have. The format felt a little different. I found multiple typos which isn't typical for this author. I do think the ending sets things up nicely for the next book.
Candace and Jameson are among my all-time favorite main characters. My favorite part of their story is usually their witty repartee. I love their relationship when they’re together, which is difficult considering their circumstances. Bring on book 18 please.
These books capture my interest each time. They portray the complexity of politics while moving the lesbian theme forward. I only wish a decent woman were to ascend to the Presidency.
Amazing and heartwarming book as always! It was just impeccable short! But upon reading the cover of the book I understand the length of this book. I confess I found myself skimming through even completely skipping pages just to see the characters I wanted! Away, elated for the next one!
I love this series and anxiously wait for the next book to come out. This one, although it has the same characters and personalities, there's not much to it. I'm hoping this book is setting us up for the next installment. I'm not giving up on JA Armstrong!
Loved how this was written. Short from two points of view. Nice to have a break in the busy world of everyone. Beautifully written and looking forward to campaign trail
Interesting the way the author opens the characters thoughts up and gives an insightful look at their perspective. I always like a Candace and Jameson story. Thanks!
With the political climate these days JA nails it every time. I’ve read all the Design books and this one shows me we have Voice and JA has the mighty Pen.
Yes, it was short. But, it is a great prologue to the next chapter. I love these characters. This story did have typos, but it didn't take away from the story.
