Heck, yeah! My most anticipated book of the summer is finally here, and it was awesome! I can't believe Violence and Vice is the final book in the series.
Lana and Ares go through a lot in this book. Ares isn't himself, and Lana has undergone a transformation, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. They may have been broken, but they weren't beaten. They came out the other end, rebuilt and stronger than ever. The intensity between Ares and Lana has also increased and left me breathless. Seriously, I can't help but swoon over how Ares loves Lana, and she's just as obsessed as he is. I love it.
The story was incredible. The pages just flew by. We discover what really happened to Ares, and I am beyond pissed. I called it in the previous book, but I'm still surprised by the details. The threats that Lana and Ares have to face are piling up. It seemed like enemies were coming out of the woodwork, some of which they never could have seen coming. The twists were plentiful, each more shocking than the last, and I couldn't have been happier. I was gasping, yelling, and crying. I pretty much ran the gamut of emotions.
The turn in the plot took me completely by surprise. It was amazing, but one little thing left me slightly unsatisfied. I still had a little fight left in me. I wanted one issue to be completely resolved. That being said, the ending was awesome. I loved every moment of it. Maybe a little too much because I'm not ready to let go yet. I want more stories set in this universe and to see Ares, Lana, and the others again. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping for more stories. Until then, I have some catching up to do in this universe.
