Not born, but made. Stronger. Sharper. Maybe I should be devastated by the choice that was made for me. Instead, I feel powerful. Capable. Invincible.
But nothing about this new life matters if I can’t find Ares.
He’s unraveling—slipping into darkness, losing time, and leaving blood in his wake. The man I love is becoming something monstrous, and no one knows how to stop it.
But I swear I will. Even if I have to tear apart everything else in my life to bring him back.
New enemies are closing in, and the streets I’ve always called home are starting to feel like a targeted minefield as history repeats itself. This world is so much bigger than I ever realized, its shadows darker, its origins more sinister. But it’s the betrayals that cut the deepest—the ones I never saw coming.
In a blood-driven system of power, politics, and predators, love may not be enough to save us all.

Such an amazing ride getting to this one the third in the series I’ve gotten to eARC for those literally couldn’t of had a more perfect ending then what it did if you’ve already read book one and two this will not disappoint! And if you haven’t read any yet and love a good vampire book this is amazing and recommend!
Lana awakens from the nightmare of her death and resurrection. She is a vampire but different from the others. No one knows the short- or long-term effects that will come about. She feels fantastic! Now, it is time to find Ares and figure out what happened to him and who did it. At first, they cannot find him. Then against impossible odds, Lana finds him and manages to secure him.
When they discover who did this to him and how, they will make this person undo what was done. But can it be undone? In the interim, Lana will become appointed to the group that runs New York. Two new vampires come in from Chicago with a new threat in their world. James will have a huge secret with surprising repercussions. Will things ever stop?
Then, another threat makes an appearance that has been around for a very long time. One that will not be traceable in any capacity. This threat wants New York cleared of their kind or that threat will make the impossible possible. Will they be able to stop all the threats without losing anyone else? Can they reverse the effects on Ares? Will Lana suffer any side effects from what she has become?
In this new world, Lana has much more to discover and experience. She has a love of a lifetime. She has abilities beyond her wildest dreams. Her world is about to implode over and over. Has it only been three months? How can so much happen in such a short time…why is it all world ending? Will they ever find peace and happiness without these threats constantly hanging over their heads? Read the action-packed sensational finale to the Vengeance and Venom series. I LOVE these books and characters. I hope to see more of them in upcoming series! I have so many unanswered questions still for these characters. I do not believe the story is over…it is just beginning.
Heck, yeah! My most anticipated book of the summer is finally here, and it was awesome! I can't believe Violence and Vice is the final book in the series.
Lana and Ares go through a lot in this book. Ares isn't himself, and Lana has undergone a transformation, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. They may have been broken, but they weren't beaten. They came out the other end, rebuilt and stronger than ever. The intensity between Ares and Lana has also increased and left me breathless. Seriously, I can't help but swoon over how Ares loves Lana, and she's just as obsessed as he is. I love it.
The story was incredible. The pages just flew by. We discover what really happened to Ares, and I am beyond pissed. I called it in the previous book, but I'm still surprised by the details. The threats that Lana and Ares have to face are piling up. It seemed like enemies were coming out of the woodwork, some of which they never could have seen coming. The twists were plentiful, each more shocking than the last, and I couldn't have been happier. I was gasping, yelling, and crying. I pretty much ran the gamut of emotions.
The turn in the plot took me completely by surprise. It was amazing, but one little thing left me slightly unsatisfied. I still had a little fight left in me. I wanted one issue to be completely resolved. That being said, the ending was awesome. I loved every moment of it. Maybe a little too much because I'm not ready to let go yet. I want more stories set in this universe and to see Ares, Lana, and the others again. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping for more stories. Until then, I have some catching up to do in this universe.
This is the final book of this trilogy so if you haven’t read the other 2 books I’d recommend you go check them. This book starts where vicious and volatile ended with Lana waking up finding out she’s no longer human but a new kind of vampire, we still don’t know what’s going on with Ares but Lana is determined to find him and find a solution to this whole thing, she was already a baddie on book 1 but here she’s on another level of baddieness (is that even a word?) We see her journey looking for Ares with the help of her friends, we see some old characters and meet some new ones as well some are good some are bad, the action didn’t end on this book it was one thing after another, when you thought everything was okay something new came along, I experienced all kinds of emotions with this book, I cried, laughed, got mad, yelled etc etc and what an ending!!!!! I feel like it was a great way to end Lana and Ares’s story while still leaving open for more stories. I gotta say I absolutely loved the new characters Juliet and Roman and I’m hoping we get to see their story in the future, as well as Harry and Sysco, I need to know what happens with the therapist (keeping it at that to not spoil a lot).
The epic finale to the Vengeance and Venom Trilogy! Picking up where we left off in Viscous and Volatile with Lana waking up after being Gutted by Gio, realizing that she is no longer human. Ares is missing and Lana and her friends move heaven and earth to find and figure out what is wrong with him. Add in some betrayal, an almost resurrection and a psychotic therapist hell bent on ridding New York of vampires… buckle up for bumpy ride!
I loved this series so much. Lana and Ares are utter perfection and I was so happy they got their HEA! This book had some twists and turns that I totally didn’t see coming and the perfect amount of spice! There is one loose end that I didn’t feel like was adequately tied up, but I feel like that could definitely be turned into a spin off series.
Do yourself a favor and check out this trilogy, as well as the rest of the Blood Descendants Universe!
What a way to end this amazing series! Lana wakes up after a crazy nightmare of a night, as someone completely new. But there’s no time to wallow because the love of her life is someone she doesn’t recognize anymore but who she won’t give up on until he’s back to the Ares she fell in love with. Of course if one issue isn’t enough to deal with a new threat has shown its face around New York… specifically in Ares territory and with someone they thought they could trust. If you’re looking for a read that will keep you on your toes, turning pages, making guesses, and even gasping at some points as well as full of hilarious banter, swoony romance, a dash of spice, and a found family that is simply amazing! I highly recommend grabbing the Vengeance and Venom series!
This is the third and final book in the Vengeance and Venom series. I have been waiting for this book forever! Not really, I’m just being dramatic! But I have been dying to see what happens due to the huge cliffie in the 2nd book “Vicious & Volatile.” This story was the perfect ending for Vengeance and Venom. The story was full of action right from the start. The twists in this story had me so upset! One minute I’m mad, then almost crying and then excited! The roller coaster had my stomach and emotions in knots! I kept thinking “what else could go wrong” and then it continued to keep going wrong! Thank you, Keary Taylor, for a satisfying end to a dark, crazy and amazing series! Now that this chapter has closed, I need to know more about Juliet and Roman. I knew they were bad@sse$ because they’re from Chi-Town! (Yelling “Southside” in my hoodrat voice!)
I have followed Ares and Lana's journey since book one. It has been filled with deceit from family and enemies. Yet, through it all Ares and Lana are and will always be connected.
This book is the strongest of the three. It is a great finish to this trilogy. Both Ares and Lana experience changes. For Lana it is a new lifestyle. Ares, I felt his pain. I think for me between the two, it was Ares that I truly felt for knowing how much he really cared for Lana. This is not to take away from Lana. She has come a long way from book one. She is not the same person I first met.
The storyline is a strong one. It had me on the edge of my seat and totally invested. I am sad to have it end but there will always be a special place for Lana and Ares.
Great conclusion to Lana & Ares story! I'm going to miss them, but I now I need to go back and read the rest of the books intertwined within this universe, as these were my first to read. I really loved their story and how they came together and won't let anything tear them apart. So, much happens in book three, I'm so glad the story finished strong. And who knows maybe the ending will spin off into a new storyline, guess we will have to wait and see!!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
To be Released: 7/15/25 Violence & Vice by Keary Taylor Independent series, but part of the Blood Descendants Universe Book 3 of 3. Pages:~261
I’ve been reading this author for a very long time, and I am happy every single time to get a book by her. This latest is the ending of a trilogy, and oh what a trilogy it was. I really can’t say very much about this because of spoilers, and I really don’t want to spoil a couple of things. I can say that this is a wonderful ending, and I’m hoping that the little thing said by a character at the very end means that it’s the beginning of a new series…but let’s wait and see. Well-written, romantic, action-packed, and wonderful characters, I’ll really miss this series, but this is a very fitting ending. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
This is the final book in the trilogy. I love Venom and Vengeance’s relationship. They love so hard!! In this book we got a lot of questions answered - but were left with a bunch more unanswered - we met new characters who were AMAZING, and a couple who were evil. We solved one problem only for another three to pop up. We saw death and we saw rebirth and resurrection (and yes they are different!) we got a lot of fighting and a lot of loving. The best part was we saw a HEA. The author said this was the end … but I think we could get another story (I love Sysco and Harry - they need a story and I definitely want more Roman and Juliet).
I’ve read all 20 of the books in this universe and enjoyed all of them. My first foray into the Blood Descendants Universe was with Luna and Ares after finding Keary Taylor on TikTok and ordering their first two books. I love supporting authors directly when I can and Taylor not only signed my copies, but she also sent me some cool swag. I read those two books in as many days and since then I have steadily read the majority of her published work. If you enjoy supernatural characters, a little spice and romance, found family, fights with the enemies and living vicariously through rich characters then this author is for you!
Loved this series! I want to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to read this trilogy and review it!
Lana & Ares fight to stay alive, save each other and their way of life constantly looking for a happily ever after! I enjoyed following them and I’m excited to go back and read the previous series!
I loved the vengeance, violence, mayhem and venom that this series brought and it all comes to a head in this finale! If you like vampires, other mythical hybrid humans, violence and love you’ll love this series!
Book 3 literally had me on the edge of my seat! From the very beginning, up until the end. I loved meeting new friends Roman and Juliet! The betrayal from Ophelia was heartbreaking. Lana Fucking Kincade Not born, but "Made Different, Bitch " The Ending of Chapter 15 I threw my kindle across the room!!! The final book in this trilogy is filled with vampires, necromancers, and other mind altering people of powers. I will miss this series & only wish it wasn't over with! I love me some Ares and Lana!!
I'm wrecked after finishing this book because I know there will not be another, the series is spectacular! Lana and Aries quickly became my favorites and I dont want it to end! I'm satisfied with the ending though I think her and Ophelia needed more closure, like I know she messed up but I guess I wanted to see how she healed as well. I know I'm weird and people will think I'm crazy but I kinda understood her actions after the trauma. I also wish there was another chapter or two about the therapist!
This book is the third book in the series and I am here for it! It was the perfect way to wrap up Lana and Ares’ story! We see so many things throughout this series and the third book is no exception. The love between these two grow into the most amazing thing. The things they have to overcome as well as Lana discovering herself in her new world *chef’s kiss* If you want an amazing vampire mafia story, this is it!!
Violence and Vice is the last book in the Vengeance and Venom series. This book picks up from the cliffhanger from book 2. It does answer the questions that were unanswered in the last book, but it seems to be missing something. The ending was somewhat anticlimactic since they just avoided the evil rather than conquering it. I feel somewhat disappointed, but have enjoyed the overall story of Lana and Ares.
First of all thank you for trusting me to read this for you! This trilogy was AMAZING I loved the stories! I will dig into more of the whole series. I can’t get enough! I mean it when I say Ares is deff a book boyfriend of mine for sure! I also like Sysco too! Please go read this whole series it is amazing!!
I loved this book!! It was intense and emotional, just like the first two in the trilogy. Lana and Ares are a beautiful couple who survive SO MUCH. Epitome of true love.
What I didn’t realize when I started this trilogy is that it’s part of an interconnected universe… guess it’s time to read all of those books too! 😂😂
I am absolutely obsessed with this conclusion foe this series! Ares and Lana are my absolute favorite and seeing this ending for them is just amazing.
I do wish we got to see more of what life is like for them all after everything but that doesn't change how much I am obsessed with them!.100000000/10 recommend if you're looking for a quick amazing read!
Oh my goodness, this was my favorite book in this series. I really hope this is not the last one. The connection between Ares and Lana is amazing. I highly recommend this book and author to everyone. There are triggers for some, so please be mindful of them. If you like all the good stuff you will enjoy this book.
This book was the perfect conclusion to an already amazing trilogy. The characters' growth and resilience were exceptionally well done. The supporting characters and their interactions with each other added so much to the story. Although the trilogy is complete, certain characters and their dialogue in the final chapter leave me hopeful that we haven't seen the last of this world.
Pretty entertaining series. If you can get past the insta love early in the relationship & the cliffhangers it’s a decent series. I appreciate the honesty between the couple & the support they provide each other throughout the series. It’s a nice change from the MMC keeping information from the FMC or a “miscommunication”.
I do enjoy longer books just because you can more in the depth with the story, the plot. I love Ares and I love the new Lana. I almost wish I got to see more of her being bad***! Either way story starts where the last one left off and we have our ups and downs but ultimately ends on a high note. Definitely recommend.
this book was spectacular the twists and turns you had me going 🤯 I mean that in a good way Aires had me worried for a second but Lana she was so fierce, strong and she had a lot of courage to take things head on that's what I loved about her this book was a 10 outta 10 😌
Beyond 5 stars!!!! Been here from House of Royals and this last book was AMAZING!!!!! And yes big family even Cyrus 🤣 this is one of my all time fav series/worlds tysm to the author I was able experience this world🖤🖤🖤🖤
Ari and Lana( Venom and Vengeance) take on his mind , his assistant James who wants to resurrect a dead vampire, and a therapist who influences minds. They meet Chicago vampires also .
